Brookdale

Very kind,competent and helpful staff.Residents eager to be friendly.Many unexpected niceties on the part of the staff- all greatly appreciated by residents,certainly by me.The reason I put one star less than the full amount has to do with some confusion about dining seating.No big deal.

My aunt hasn't moved in yet so this rating is based on our initial visit. We had looked at several other communities but as soon as we walked into Cypress Lake we felt like it would be a good fit for my aunt. The staff was friendly, the rooms were a good size, and they had large windows that let in a lot of light. There was a lot of outdoor space with seating areas to sit and read or meet with friends, and there was a pool located with a view of a golf course which makes it very pleasant. My aunt had lunch there and said the food was excellent. The facility was also located near a shopping mall with well known stores and good restaurants. We're very happy with our choice of Cypress Lake.

Clean, fresh. No memory care unit. 8 mins from house. Square with interior courtyard. Keypad entry would prevent wandering. Can do med mgmt, extra charge. Would need own furniture. Move out if bedridden. Convivial residents.

Large facility with a lovely view of the river. Units are very large, the largest I've seen. Own furniture (this seems everywhere). Assisted living (60) and memory unit (10). Restaurant style. Meal menu seems repetetive, will keep an eye on it. Residents seemed happy. Includes utilities meals weekly housekeeping and laundry. Laundry rooms on each floor.

So far everything is going well for me. I really like this community, everybody is very nice and friendly. They do a very good job with keeping my room and the facility nice and clean. The staff is outstanding. I feel like they really care about me. They are always there if I need some help. There are plenty of activities offered daily. This is a brand new facility, so everything is fresh and new.

I really nice homey atmosphere this community has.This is a wonderful community, they do fair job with keeping everything nice and clean. When I visit her is rooming pretty well-kept. The staff is nice, they are caring for her well, but the communication between the staff needs improvement. She is engaging in some activities, which is nice to see. The food is pleasant, she enjoys the meals. She is being cared for well.

My mom is now living at this community and all is pretty good so far. The staff are very helpful, attentive and welcoming always. The community is clean all the time. My mom has joined a few activities and made some new friends. The food is really good, fresh and mom has a variety to choose from. I would recommend this community because the transition has been good and my mom is truly enjoying her time here.

I know my father is in good hands at this community. I'am very satisfied with everything they have done for us. He has adjusted pretty well to the community. They keep the community very nice and clean. and his rooms is always well maintained as well. The staff is good, they have been helpful. He has tried a couple of activities. He likes most of the food, they do sever well balanced meals. I'am confident about the care he is receiving. So I would recommend it.

I was here for respite stay during my knee replacement surgery. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this community. Everything went very well and we were very pleased. The staff was nice, they were always there if I needed some help. My husband had a ball with the puzzle activities they offered. Most of the meals were good. I was very happy with everything they did for us.

This was an easier transition then we were concerned about. The only negative that we have is that the choice of food is somewhat limited. This is probably due to most residents have more dietary requirements then for our relative.

Our timeline was very limiting, and we had our feet to the fire to get dad placed quickly and Renee' at Brookdale made that happen. We were surprised at the number of care services that we would need to pay for in addition to the resident fee, based on their nurse's evaluation. There are plenty of activities and each time I visit I notice the same residence are participating. So far my Dad has not joined in the "reindeer games", and I am hoping (& have requested) that they will try to draw him in, since he is no longer a joiner. Hope that explains my less then perfect "scores".

My tour of this facility went very well. The community looks very clean and nice. The community pretty brand new is everything is fresh and clean. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. They offer nice food and good activities. It was just to expensive for us, but it is a nice community.

The staff at Brookdale Potomac are great. They have have been very good with my mom in law. The food is good and they have a lot of activities that she participates in. They do not have a social worker there to assist the residents and families. This place is not set up for people with middle to advanced stage dementia but it is perfect for us. I would recommend this community. A Place for Mom was a blessing to us as well.

Our tour of this facility went very well. Everyone was very friendly and kind. The staff was friendly and showed us all around the community. Everything looked great, but the building looked a little out dated. The residents were nice and welcoming. They offer nice activities and good food. It was an excellent tour.

The place is always clean and the staff are nice.I gave 4 stars because in the 1st week my Dad’s hearing aids, denture and glasses were all lost. Only the glasses were found. The staff said that they were working on a system to make sure that doesn’t happen again so I hope that does happen.My Dad would probably not adjust well anywhere but he seems to be doing much better than he was at his first care center.

We Choose Brookdale St. Augustine for our mom. She has found eveyone very friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful and very well maintained. The views are beautiful. The activities director outstanding and so very caring. We feel we made the right choice.

Brookdale has been very helpful to me with caring for my father and has taken the burden of worrying about him with his falling and being in the house by himself

My tour at this community went very well. Everyone was very nice and kind. The community looked great, they have very nice rooms, and a nice dining area. It is a bit on the expensive side. I feel the community wasn't as appealing as I would like it. It is a nice facility, and they offer good food and nice activities. It just wasn't the right place for my wife and I.
