Brookdale

They have been pretty good. Overall I am satisfied with the place. Some of the care of the residents could be a little better. They haven't done the best job with keeping her clean, but when it was brought to their attention, they were right on top of it, and I am convinced it will no longer be an issue. We haven't had any other complaints at all, the maintenance is fine, and the food seems good.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I thought Brookdale looked like a very nice place, overall! All of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional, and the facility was clean and well kept. We ended up selecting another community, but I'd say this one is worth a look!

My sister is doing very well at this community and she seems to have adjusted well. I am very pleased and she informs me that she really likes it here. She said they keep the place pretty clean. She is trying out some new activities and the food is good. I would recommend it because she seems happy here.

Brookdale Uptown Whittier is a really great place for my mother and I really believe that she is happy there with all of the activities to participate in with her new friends. The staff have been very responsive for the most part although there is one thing I find to be kind of weird. I asked that they not serve my mother tomatoes during her meal time because she prefers not to eat them and they have expressed that will require a doctor's note. Pretty funny but not to the point to where I am frustrated by any means. I am happy Mom is in good hands and definitely feel like I made the best decision for Mom.

The staff we met were friendly and the place seemed clean and well run. We ended up going with a different Brookdale community that we thought would be a better fit, but they were both very nice.

My loved one has only been here a short time, but so far our experience has been a positive one! The staff here is friendly and professional, and I really appreciate the high degree of communication. They helped us through the whole sign-up and move-in process, and they always contact me immediately if anything comes up with my loved one.

I think communication lines haven't been drawn. When you are looking at a place there is so much to take in I may have missed some things. However we had a hard time with the billing in the beginning, there are so many added fees, and there are services that haven't been started have been billed. The administrative end could definitely been streamlined. The people there have been very patient, and friendly. Rick and Dawn and everyone have been great. There haven't been any major complaints about the food or the staff, or housekeeping. The biggest complaint is that it's so tiny, the apartment itself is really small, especially for a couple.

Everything is going very well for my mother since her move to this community. I do not live in the same state, and I am comfortable with the care they are providing her. I know she is adjusting okay and the staff will look after her very well. The staff is wonderful and compassionate, they are always smiling and joking around with the residents. There are many activities offered. They serve good food, I've tried a couple a meals and the meals are nice. The community looks great and I would overall recommend it.

This community was top notch and expensive. A great place to place a loved one if you can afford it. They do not have memory care services at this particular Brookdale community but it's perfect for higher functioning adults that need little to no assistant care. Cathy was awesome!

Ms. [removed] was very helpful before and during our move. Carolyn Arranged and paid for our move. She followed-up to make sure our needs were met, she also introduced us to a Financial advisor who gave us some advice, but shortly after our move it became difficult to contact her due to her busy schedule. I would recommend Brookdale Southside to anyone who has a need for a lock memory unit.

I thought Brookdale Chenal Heights seemed like a very nice place overall, and would definitely have worked as a second choice. The facility was clean and well kept, and the staff seemed friendly and professional. The memory care section was fairly large, and I felt like my loved one would feel more comfortable in a smaller community.

My mother is doing very well at this community and everything is working out very well. Everything is very clean and looks great. I really the staff at this community, they have been very helpful, they are always there when she needs help. She is getting more involved in the activities, they do offer great activities through out the week. The food is good, she enjoys the meals. I have already recommended this community to my friends.

This is a nice community and everything is working out well for me here. I do like this community, but I am still getting adjusted. They keep the community very clean and my room looks really nice. I love the staff they are very nice and extra helpful. I am meeting some new people and trying some new activities. The food isn't to bad. Overall this is a nice community with a nice staff.

The care was very good right form the first day. The sensitivity and friendliness of the staff was second to none.

Everything seems to be going pretty well. There have been no major complaints. They have a good ratio of staff to resident ratio. They are more cost effective. I would give them a four out of five at this point.

I have high exceptions with my mothers care and where she will be living. I feel like I finally found a place where she is happy and comfortable. This is a nice community and the staff has been good. They are good at addressing my concerns. She has made a few new friends and she loves the food. Everything is working out well and I would recommend this community.

Over the past three weeks, I have spent a lot of time at this facility with my Aunt while she is moving in. I have found the management to be excellent, caring and understanding. So far the experience for my aunt has been excellent and I hope things continue as they are today. I am very pleased with our decision to place my aunt at this location.
