This wasn't the best experience. There was some lack of professionalism. The caregivers weren't entirely reliable, showing up late, and not being very productive. I would not use this service again.

The initial people that came in with Home Care Assistance did a great job selling the service. However, they didn't have enough staff to handle their client load so they subbed out nursing staff. The lady we got fed him and made sure she got him from point a to b but she watched TV all day did not engage him in any way. I also noticed one day that she pulled him up by the seat of his pants, I just thought this was really inappropriate. So I called to complain and get someone else out here but I didn't hear back from them for weeks. So I had to terminate the service. I realize they were short staffed but they are still responsible for holding up their end of the bargain. I am not satisfied at all.

They don’t show up pretty frequently. They were friendly enough when they did show up though. You get what you pay for and we’ll probably be needing to find a different home care provider pretty soon.

The original phone call was very friendly, and a caregiver was available immediately, however because no onsite personal interview was made by the staff, the caregiver did not meet specific requirements we requested. It has been a learning experience if after two weeks the caregiver is unable to work with the patient it is best to review the situation and make whatever changes are necessary. Because this agency deals with contracted personnel it required two checks be written each week for payment. There is no method of keeping track of hours worked. The family did not think the patient had issues out of the norm, and therefore was expecting the caregiver to be prepared for the challenges of normal senior concerns. Because of hearing issues combined with heavy accents, it made communication difficult and didn't allow for good rapport between caregiver and patient, or a very happy environment.

Jeff was somewhat helpful. Medium priced. Nurse assessment costs $150 and is needed. Not sure of license, if worked with our long-term insurance company, and didn't know if he could get a [removed].

We were VERY disappointed. They insisted that they knew their caregivers so well and so would match us with someone who fit our needs for my grandmother. Instead, they sent someone who had never worked for them before. she was very nice but completely unqualified for the job- she might be a fit for someone else, but her low energy and passive nature (though very sweet) was not a fit at all. Mostly we were just very distressed that we had been "sold" on this on the idea that they knew their caregivers so well and so would be able to find us someone who met our needs...and it seems like they didn't even try. She did not meet the criteria that we so carefully provided at all. We stopped service after 2 days.

We were pleased with the service when [Name removed] was owner. Not too impressed with new owner or management at all. Would not recommend this company to anyone. I left one star but was hesitant about that. Monday morning we are with new company.

We had to discontinue the services with this agency. They just could not send the right type of caregiver to help out with my sister.The first person they sent was too small in build to help transport my sister than the second one was not licensed to go caregiver work. So here I am paying for this service for them to provide care and I am doing all the work.

This review is regarding the owner, [Removed]. My family employs several of her staff. I had specific concerns and wrote [Removed]. She NEVER bothered to respond. I find this very rude and unprofessional.

They just didn't show up. Plain and simple. I had to text the boss, and he had someone come out and sit, but it was not at all what I had hoped for.

Poor services, unable to contact them when an emergency this weekend April 30, 2016. I contacted them on behalf of my sister and her husband under whose care they were. One of the aide yelled and screamed at the patient so loud I was scared hearing her, I happened to be on the phone with my sister at that time. The voice message is of no use, there is no "Tone" to leave a message, and the voice mail saying a coordinator's phone # is unclear.

I met with the owner and what he told me was false. He caused distress to my mother. Do not recommend.

My Friends and Family Home Care experience has been negative. If a carer showed up, she was personable, motivated, and competent. Unfortunately, someone showing up was a rarity — usually either late or leaving early, or not at all, or at the wrong time, I.e., morning instead of afternoon.

Advem Care LLC disregarded our agreed terms of how they would operate. They were regularly late. More importantly, we have specific requirements for food consumption, but the Advem Care workers felt that their own food consumption needs were more important than the impact on others. Advem Care management was totally unapologetic and unresponsive and seemed aggressive and rude in arguing that our house rules should be modified for them. After these incidents we then found damaged furniture. Advem Care will never be allowed in our place again!

Where do we begin? We had people no show, we caught right different care givers sleeping during shift while our family member (the one being cared for) tried to wake them up, we had one ruin our dishwasher, another break our laundry machine dial, one that didn’t know how to use or load batteries, one that yelled at us because she hated her job, one that left in the middle of her shift, they almost all talked on their phones and looked at their c phones rather than taking care of our loved one, several steal from us…no. We definitely would not recommend.

The owner [name removed] seemed so wonderful at our in home interview, that I had high hopes for this service. But, it truly was a disaster from the beginning. The young lady (in her 20s) was matched to be my sister's caregiver. Here are some of the issues: 1. This young lady showed up on time, but would often stay in her car for 10-20 minutes (& clock in as if she was inside my sisters house). 2. She texted me to say she couldn't take my sister's blood pressure bc she wasn't a CNA. I texted her an image online stating that a CVS BP machine can be used by anyone. 3. She didn't show up at all one day; no text, nono all. Her supervisor said she'd been in an accident. I spoke to her the next day to say I was sorry about her accident. She was confused and said she had not be feeling good that day and slept in. 4. [name removed] (the owner) said the caregiver could do light house cleaning and told me to get a swiffer mop & microfiber wipes. I wrote a weekly schedule to include these duties & she didnt do it.

They refused to work around my volunteer schedule and forgot about me whenever they had outings for clients.

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. RUN, RUN, RUN! I am the parent of a child receiving [removed] services with an in-home aide, and our experience with this agency—particularly with [name removed]—was EXTREMELY concerning. They offer other services, but I would not recommend ANY of them based on [name removed](the owner)... Communication was poor from the beginning. We received conflicting information about hours, respite, scheduling, community access, and even who was responsible for our case. When I expressed frustration and asked for clarification, I received what appeared to be a templated/AI-generated response rather than answers to my specific concerns. I requested a different case manager, and services were then PAUSED WITHOUT NOTICE. [name removed] is extremely unprofessional. I would not trust the care of my loved one to his company.

We never had a consistent caregiver with this company. There were frequent call-offs and no-shows, and unfortunately, we never had a good experience with the caregivers who were assigned to our loved one. We eventually switched to another agency and have had a completely different experience. We have not had the same issues with reliability or consistency. If you are looking for dependable, consistent care for your loved one, I would strongly encourage you to do your research and consider all of your options before choosing this company.

I felt so positive about this agency. The owner is sharp, enthusiastic, was caring and a real professional. However, the aide assigned to my brother did not show up for her assigned days. She had signed the sign-in sheet in advance of her days and times. My brother was to sign in when she arrived, and there was only one day with his signature. I phoned him every day to ask about his care as it was a new service, and each day, he responded that the aide didn’t show. He wasn’t showered, the apartment wasn’t cleaned, etc. What was so discouraging is that the owner didn’t believe us. We did receive a refund as the fee was paid in advance. In addition, there was a special one-time fee for the owner’s (she is an RN) assessment and for supplies. That’s gone with the wind. Steer clear of this agency!
