When initial visit was made we were under the impression that we were getting either a nurse or a nurses aide, but what we got was a brand new employee that wasn't even a CNA, and had no idea about Dementia patients, and was told by director that she was available to answer her phone at all times if employees needed assistance and she was 10 minutes away, well everytime I called her I received her voicemail, and then called office and also voicemail, and one time she was away on vacation and never received a call back from anyone until she got back a week later from vacation, I feel that is not a way to be in charge of this company, someone should be available to answer calls in case an aide is having an issue with patient.

Since hiring Brazos, we have had many changes in caregivers. My father has dementia with aggression. We were assured they had people experienced in handling patients like this. Truth is they did not. Whenever they do get someone who can handle my father, they don't seem to last long. In the last 6 months my father's health has deteriorated with him ending up in hospital numerous times. Trying to get information from Brazoz is like pulling teeth. They claim it's because my father doesn't want them talking to me, even though I am the one paying them for their services. Recently they went ahead and authorized 24-hour care, after me telling them we had to cut back from 12 hours to the original 6 they were hired for. I have spoken to the office manager as well as the owner of the company about the lack of communication, to no avail. This is extremely frustrating for me because I am also caregiver for my brother who has Parkinsons and I just recently had knee replacement surgery.

Seemed nice but never actually followed through with me. Came to see me the same day I called but the agency never followed up with me or the needs of my mom. They never called to see if I was still in need of care for mom.

Once the contract was signed I feel [name removed] became pushy like a used car salesman. My mom decided she didn't need the care we arranged and told the nurse as much when she arrived. I had to pay for her full shift and for the nurse doing orientation. There was still a balance left from the deposit I had to leave and I had to stay on top of [name removed] to get my deposit back.

Mostly they just sat and with my mom and either watched tv or was on their phones my mom was picky and didn’t like me to leave her and didn’t let them change her the company was amazing with having availability and when I couldn’t make it home one time they reached out and found someone else to come so I was able to stay at my sons tournament

My only problem with this company is that they don't pay their caregivers enough for what they do. I also wish they would do at least 2 home visits a year just to check on the clients they serve. Their caregivers don't get PTO (paid time off), no dental insurance, or any health benefits.

Only use them one time and then returned to Sacramento... I am now back in the Sanger area and am looking for someone to assist the person that was sent by the agency. the first time was well intentioned but not a good fit. I have physical limitations of my own, this person who they sent also was physically limited. had some health issues... issues... I need someone who is a little more fit and perhaps younger who can drive in as comfortable taking me to some appointments, haircuts, doctor's appointments and can provide some general mobility assistance also assist with things like mailing and shipping.. taking things to the dry cleaner and so on. I do have physical limitations- the disability, however, I live a very active professional life and need a type of assistance that may be different than than some clients. you typically use these types of services. I need some of the health assistance like blood pressure checks and things, but I also need someone who has some personal assistant capabilities.. That's the best way I can describe it.

The staff all very nice but not well trained, the agency told us they knew about Parkinson's and would be able to help. No one knew about Parkinson's they just did light cleaning and that's not what we were told. Too much money for light cleaning.

Depends on what caregiver you have. One of the caregivers stole some things from my grandfather and she was promptly terminated. The staff was really helpful with that. His new caregiver is a lot better.

They don't get temporary replacements as they promised during the interview. Twice CAREGIVER's cancelled no one else replaced them. I had to call to find out I wouldn't have a caregiver 2 separate weekends. I was told during my interview that I would always have coverage. Caregivers are great.

Generally good experience Pleasant and helpful. Sometimes a bit too talkative. Unfortunately felt I couldn’t completely trust person. One of helpers used my perfume. I smelled it in the air even though I haven’t used any perfume in years. Makes me wonder what else the person did while I was sleeping. Also took two calls to get my deposit back.

my parents needed assistance with preparing meals and light housekeeping..the first and third caregiver didn't do a very thorough job of assisting - the second caregiver was excellent and very helpful so it's a coin toss depending on who you get and how adept their skills are to the needs..

I need help filling out the paper .. I don’t understand it and I don’t have a car !! I don’t know nothing else to say because nobody been here.. I don’t know what to say other than the paper work isn’t done and I don’t. Understand it and I can’t see good ,,,

Several of the caregivers lacked initiative and common sense. Used incontinence supplies should go out to the trash bin immediately, or at least at the end of the shift, so the client’s home does not smell like urine and feces. If the client has a pet and immobility issues and dementia, the pet will need care also please clean up “accidents”, litter box, and please provide fresh water and food in clean bowls every day. If the client is in too much pain to get out of bed, bring the pain medication to the client at the appropriate times as set out in a pill tray by the client’s family. Don’t require clients with dementia to say specifically, I would like to take my pain medication now.” That is ridiculous. Protect client from falls by being hands on. Prioritize safety, health and cleanliness, and stay off of your goddamn cell phone.

They were good help and helped mother with her shower and getting dressed. They did the washing, vacuuming, clean dishes, removed trash.They would ask if there was anything else that needed taken care of.If you told them something else to do,they would do it or if they seen something that needed cleaned they would clean it. Were always friendly.

At first we were happy with Cornerstone, but after 5 weeks with them things are not so rosy. We had hoped for regular care givers to stay on a fixed schedule to generate familiarity, but this has not happened as 3 girls and 1 male have been released either by us or the agency. They sent a male out to care for my mother without asking first if this was acceptable, it was not. Then most recently, we are finding items missing from the home such as electronic charging cables that none of the care givers seem to know where they went, but were used by at least 1 care giver. There is other evidence of drawers being opened and items moved around in rooms that should not be entered by Cornerstone personnel. There have been billing overcharges as well. We are very uncomfortable with this agency at this time.

Their manager was very nice and very professional. She gave a wonderful presentation of the company. However, I later discovered that they are fairly new and are, in my opinion, having some difficulty in building their staff. I no longer needed their service so I canceled after a short time. It was nothing that the company management or the caregiver did. I just began to feel better and no longer needed them

Our initial meeting with them was very good. They said everything we wanted to hear. So we hired them. The follow through was not as good. We were told we could do 12-15 hours a week. Then they said we had to do 20 hours per week. The lady they placed with my mom was MUCH older than they said she was. We felt she needed care almost as much as my mom. She was very nice but she shared all of her personal problems with my mom and pushed her religious beliefs. This was a huge problem for my mom who is adamantly agnostic. They told us there would be check-ins both on an app and in a notebook at her house. The app was not available and the notebook never showed up at her house. So we had very little communication. Ultimately this did not work out for us, and we let her go after one month.

She did work with us in providing fewer hours than they normally provide on a weekly basis, however, each 1 hour visit (2-3 per week)is now $[removed] instead of the [removed] per hour she originally quoted. I don’t remember her telling us this up front. Just not sure if I’m getting my money’s worth!

The first contact with [name removed] care went very well- they were able to jump right in to solve an immediate need. The first months was great, second month had a few hiccups but by the third month they were definitely slacking off. Sadly we are once again searching for reliable service from other sources.
