Coso Care over sold what they can deliver. In home care in general is not ideal for dementia/memory care patients. Corso care made it sound when signing up that this would work for both parents with a degree of dementia. It took a long time to get caregivers to cover the required shifts and family had to step up, creating alot of anger and resentment from patients toward family. It's not working well. Things can change rapidly and there is a month notice required before the change can take place. Dementia patients seem to think they do not need care and send the caregivers home. Patients still pay for the whole shift, but caregivers do not get paid. Therefore it gets difficult to keep caregivers from canceling shifts. The care plan, no one explains how indepth that family has to make it to get the level of communication needed to stay on top of patients cognitive and physical well-being, unless family is around all the time. We really like the caregivers, they are absolutely wonderful!

My regular helper is not dependable and I get substitutes often. My husband and I are not happy with this.

Service and care was good, however, I discovered some items missing. Two cake pans I had received as a wedding gift in 1950, a rack of frozen baby back ribs, a small roll of diabetic candy left here by my late son, a bag of cashews in a gift basket had been opened and some removed and a box of sweet and low had been opened and some removed. None of these items were valuable but the candy and cake pans were special and it broke my heart that they were gone. I called the Director and informed her of this and her response was I’m sorry this happened to you. There was no offer to investigate or even talk to the other ladies about this problem. This was especially disappointing because otherwise the service and care was good and it made a positive impact on my recovery.

It was difficult to get a caretaker who stayed for more than a couple of weeks. The facilitators were good, but I was really looking for consistency of care. When caretakers changed or quit, the facilitator was good, supplying a temporary person.

The initial visit was good and the caregiver did everything I asked. She was very good at organizing things. I was new at this and much of what my bachelor brother needed was someone tidying up after him since he is no longer very mobile. After a few weeks, the caregiver didn’t like cleaning up anymore and walked out. No discussion, no goodbye, just gone.

We were looking for help with our mother. She is wheelchair bound and still lives at home. We needed someone to come in a couple times a week to do light housework, bathe mom, take her to hair and nail appointments and drive her out to the cemetery. The person could help with the laundry and change bed sheets weekly. The first two girls assigned to mom did not have a vehicle adequate to transfer mom and her wheelchair. The third girl was perfect, but she took another position after 3 visits. We are now on the 4th girls in 5 weeks. She seems ok, but is not as good as our 3rd girl. The biggest problem is we are never informed that there will be change. The new girls just show up. Nobody has ever asked us how things are going. We have to initiate any contact. We are going to give them a couple more weeks to improve before we look elsewhere.

With past companies, I was trying to find one that would bathe and clothe my wife when she didn't want that. I had to pay for a minimum of either 8 or 12 hours each week, when no one could get her clean or properly dressed. That was unaffordable. One You Love doesn't have those high weekly minimums. The only minimum they have is either 2 hours per visit @[Amounts removed]per visit. This has been very helpful because I don't need them every week. I have not used them a lot, and my wife responds better to outgoing caregivers, so I don't know if anyone will ever get her clean, but at least they are there to relieve me when I have an appointment or, maybe someday soon, just need a break for myself. I would recommend trying them. They may wind up being 5 stars for you. I just have unrealistic expectations and an extremely stubborn wife.

I tried twice two different health aides and both were not a fit. The cost and the service weren’t a balance. The staff made the arrangements. The first aide I had to call and advice the person they sent wasn’t a fit due to her about to do the work. The other aide was ok the first two weeks and on the third weekend she texted me at 12 pm to advise she wasn’t coming in but the agency never sent anyone that weekend. I had to call on Monday to advise she never arrived. I had to miss work that weekend.

What they told me on the phone, while I was in the SNF and what they told my son, who met them at my house turned out to not be one in the same. Being non-weight bearing for over 8 weeks. Having RN, PT, OT come in 1-2x a week. Needing help with the basics for myself and furbaby. Went through 6 caregivers. Is not rocket science Luckily ONE was actually a licensed CNA (She was the only one I allowed to help with shower chair assist) The Four hour minimum charges became excessive; when people signed in and out from the street (fraction charges to the agencies benefit) Babysitting invoices became ridiculous! Like I had nothing else on my plate with a fractured tibia … Agency never addressed charging me 8 hours for a 6 hour day; double charged for an overlapping hour; nor even confirming it was authorized to begin with. I can’t recommend this agency. Grateful I ended our service agreement.

The office team was pleasant. However, they had a difficult time scheduling care providers. Too many days I found out less then an hour before start time there was nobody scheduled to come out that but they were working on it. I had to call them. We ended up with 4 days of care having 3 different care providers. Two were absolutely wonderful and one I felt was not experienced with dementia patients. Since I couldn't depend on someone being here, I cancelled service and they kept my one week deposit covering 3-days service.

If you want consistency in your caregiver, Right at Home should NOT be your choice. Always a different person, not a good fit for an elderly or I’ll person! Office staff is nice but difficult to get all on the same page regarding instructions and requirements. Former client at this time

Good care! But they're out of Indy and I think they are having a hard time staffing Anderson. We've had a couple no call no shows through miscommunication or direction mix ups. They are also more expensive than other services. They did send a manager several times when staff couldn't come, and she does an excellent job.

I am using the agency for my aging Aunt, who is nearing 85. She was needing help with showering, and some light cleaning, such as polishing end tables, bathroom cleaning, mopping, some vacuuming as needed, wiping down kitchen, and taking the trash barrel out, before leaving. The first two visits we really didn't get what we were hoping for. The third visit they brought a new caretaker in, and my Aunt isn't really satisfied with her attitude, as she needed to be asked for everything she did, then seemed reluctant. She's going to give her another try. I just want my Aunt happy. She doesn't ask for much.

The caregivers were wonderful and came even though the sign-in app they have to use didn't have them on the schedule. If it weren't for these ladies, I wouldn't have had any help most of the time I was supposed to have. The office is poorly run and there was a lot of turnover. The finance office was very efficient and helpful.

Sent me people who did not fit with my request or need. One caregiver could not stand on feet more than 5 minutes. Did not wash hands after bathroom use. One person my dog did not like, and she likes everyone. Agency was very kind and friendly. Did have workers available to work and took time to find them.

Interview with owner went well, walked through services and expected charges clearly. Unfortunately, the servicer/companion never showed up. When we called the service to cancel, we were informed that they had recently heard from her and she had informed them that she hadn't been able to come. Had we been notified within a day or two of the first missed appointment, we would have worked around it. Two weeks without informing your employer? Not acceptable!

I appreciated the extra efforts management made to cover 5 days over christmas. They agreed to give us a refund for the hours that where not covered. We are waiting to recieve it. Im sure they would do better with long term jobs.

This company first of all was too far from where my home was located. Initially the owner did not truthfully disclose that they did not have access to accomodate Medicare services they only dealt with Medicaid. She spoke initially like they submit to Medicare for services when they did not! People they have working for them were good but not reliable! They didn’t show up when they were scheduled however later found out the owner didn’t properly schedule!

The aide was ok according to my Mom but was late almost every day. She was on her phone alot. Mom complained that she would follow her around constantly (I understand that she needed to) but it was uncomfortable for mom to be followed like she was doing something wrong.

It was difficult to be the patient’s medical advocate/power of attorney and the one coordinating with this company. It starts great with first call and in person interview with sales person. They paint a great picture but the reality is not as great. From our perspective, impression of Company went downhill after those first two meetings. There is a gap between the owner / salesperson and the caregivers. One caregiver was good, but not available, the other was nice but not not helpful to our mom. I think our mom was in better physical shape than the caregiver
