The nurse is good but has such an accent that sometimes I have to repeat herself but the lady sent for light house keeping was rude and did very little.

My first week was a rough start. I don't like that I have to call to see if I am going to have a fill if the caregiver is going on vacation.

I don't know how to rate Home Matters. There were a few things that weren't good on their side but also there were a few things on our side. The first care giver was late, lied, didn't show on the second day. We also were told a supervisor would join her on the first visit but that didn't happen and there was no attempt to have a followup supervisor visit. After a couple of bad starts we decided we didn't really know what we needed but we knew we hadn't found it. We still don't know what we need but we'll handle it until we can't.

First caregiver was a mismatch - not very conversational which is bad when you are looking for a companion not a babysitter. Then we got five different caregivers in one five day week. Sending different caregivers every day is not what we wanted - we wanted consistency to start to build somewhat of a friendship. We stopped the service because we welcomed back a previous companion who was once again available. If we need other services in future I would investigate alternatives before contacting Senior Helpers again. I did not feel we got good value for the cost.

I requested to have the same caregiver each visit. The first week the caregiver decided to take off Monday, Thursday and Friday and not return the following week. The next week, the new caregiver was late the second day and a no show the third day. Had to ask the owner to discontinue our agreement after 2nd week. The caregivers were ok but inconsistent. They should have done better.

My 31-year-old profoundly autistic nonverbal son has episodes of unsafe travel when overstimulated. The owner was aware prior to transport. For 2 months all went well, no issues. One morning a new driver showed up 2 1/2 hours late to transport to his day program. When he was picked up by driver that afternoon he was placed in front seat which was explicitly not to be done. One the way home he hit the driver. He was immediately removed from we caregivers despite company not adhering to safety plan for transportation. No communication to the new driver or follow up. Sadly, we are still waiting for an incident report from we caregivers. I recognize the challenges of transporting someone who has potential for unsafe travel but done correctly as the first few months showed he was safe. The mistake was on Wecaregivers but it was my son who paid the price. Behavior and safety plans are in place to keep everyone safe. When they are ignored the end result lies with those who fail to follow them

We Love [name removed] the care taker and would like to stay with the company but, we are in need of a nurse and Physical Therapist to come in for possible bi-pap and muscle strengthening. Unfortunately, they do NOT have nursing or PT services in my area. Only caretakers. Thank you.

The things I liked about Cornerstone were [name removed] who I initially spoke with and [name removed] in the South Memphis office. They could improve on the quality of caregivers - knowledge, ability and professionalism.

When we first contacted Cornerstone Caregiving they seemed wonderful. They said they could do so many things to help us and we said we needed to have the same girl every time as mom has dementia and is easily confused. No problem. So we started with them assisting with her shower, wiping down the shower and bathroom floor and assisting her in getting dressed, hair, teeth and making her bed. Over the course of 5 weeks, we had 5 different girls come, when we were assured we’d have the same one. Only one, in our opinion, knew what she was doing and was competent. They did the bear minimum and not that well. They spent a lot of time on their phones instead of conversing with their patient when they were done. Mom is pretty easygoing, so when she started having nightmares and anxiety issues regarding them being here, we decided it wasn’t worth having them.

I was hospitalized and needed transportation to go home and return for treatments. Both ladies had cars that were extremely dirty in and out. I was concerned since I had pick line. One lady had a very poor driving record and shared this with me. The other lady had a car that was hard to get in and out of plus lots of stuff piled in car. I tried to have one lady do simple cleaning task. Poor effort

I was looking for a home cleaner. My associate thought she was there for actual care of my person. I was not informed that I was responsible for cleaning supplies. I have some, but they are limited. I got 3 hours of company that I had to assist with. And still charged for 4 hours. I think Communication between all parties would be beneficial for everyone.

Had a few issues with sitters being late or getting called while away on vacation that they didn't have anyone to sit with my family member even though they had sufficient notice of our dates that we needed a sitter. Some of the sitters smelled of cigarette smoke. One came in with a shower cap on her head. You have to give them explicit instructions on what you want done, came home to dirty dishes in the sink once. After our service ended, made 4 phone calls about payment questions and no one would return my calls. When they wanted our business they were very prompt in getting us signed up. Otherwise, service was ok for our needs

When the home health aid showed up I'd give their care a 5 However a lot of times they wouldn't show up My dad had 9 hours a week authorized and most of the time They only showed up one day 3-4 hours I was told they didn't have a lot of staff that wanted to come out where we were Which was disappointing because when we signed up we were told they had the staff to accommodate our location

Ok the place was pretty nice and clean. People were very friendly. Food was decent could have been better.

We were disappointed with the care. We were promised better attention to specific requests were not done . Evening medication was not given 50% of the time. Instructions for bedtimes were ignored. They basically did the minimum for care. They were there simply so my mother was not there all me. My mother was allowed to do many of the things we asked the help to assist us with., such as changing into pajamas and going to bed as early as 17:00. Overall review of this company is poor. Would not recommend to anyone.

Friendly agency but have not met caregivers in person so cannot give personal review but my father seems okay with them and that is the most important thing to me.

The two women from his agency were very competent very nice and very good. [name removed], however, is a pain in the neck.

There seems to be a lack of communication from there weekend people and everyone else. They have had no shows they have missed 5 times. They do have a few very good care workers that should get raises because if they did step up we would have had to change to a new company I had found a local company

The case managers, [name removed] and [name removed], have been wonderful. They are timely in responding to texts and act quickly to resolve issues with coverage and care needs. Truly professional and concerned. Billing is terrible. I have had to ask for corrected invoices every single week. I've also had issues with failure to withdraw payment after authorization which causes a large withdrawal instead of a weekly small withdrawal. I am presently awaiting two corrected invoices. One of the two the payment has been withdrawal without my authorization. The actual care is wonderful but billing is a nightmare and constant struggle requiring diligent oversight and is time consuming.

So when we initially called Florida VNA to set up in-home assistance for our loved one that had progressive dementia Alzheimer’s disease they were very encouraging that they could send out staff that had experience in training in caring for this type of a patient and also would be able to manage the behaviors associated with this disease. Unfortunately, the caregiver that was sent out was a student nurse who is very young had very limited experience actually allowed the our family member to wander and leave the house and was just not experiencing enough. She was extremely sweet, but our but was just not experienced and trained well enough to handle Our family member. My recommendation is to have more well, equipped, and train staff for this patient population
