Some caregivers, 3 or 4, have been fantastic. Several others have either not done well or have only lasted a few weeks. Turnover is hard for mom and the family. They communicate effectively with family. Cost is an issue as [fee removed] per hour for 4 or 5 hours a day is more than [fee removed]K a month. I wish there was an alternate but they do provide a needed service.

Aide assigned has been very helpful. Demonstrates initiative, common sense, learns quickly offers sound suggestions and advice. Willingness to go beyond duties to improve comfort care delivered. Would engage services again if the need arises.

We were told everyone can drive a car and get their mom out. One drove a jeep. Not climbing in there. The other had a broken foot. They both were wonderful caregivers, they were kind and attentive. Didn’t come up with much to keep her busy. Didn’t take her for walks in the hall ( something I strictly asked them to adhere to). They picked up and cleaned for her. So over all good minus two big things I asked for.

A representative came to my home and we had the opportunity to discuss fully the services offered. That way I did not go into it blind. I was impressed with that gentleman. I only needed them twice, but they were so helpful for me after I had my surgery. The fellow who came was polite, very respectful of my home and very helpful with the things that I needed to be done. I would use them again.

We needed short term help after my wife's surgery. They were able to have a great candidate to help us within a few days. The care giver was always on time and very knowledgeable on ways to make things easier on my wife.

Nice staff and very good with my Grandmother. On time with appointments and very knowledgeable on what needs to be done and the care that each person needs. I would recommend them to anyone and encourage their family to look into their services.

Overall I would rate 4.5. Mom is getting the care she needs Reliability I rate as a 5. There has been no lapse in coverage. Ease of starting service is a 5. They were able to start on requested time and day. Communication I rate as a 4. Owners are available by phone email and text. Communication between hand offs between shift changes could be a little better but generally good. We sometimes find a language barrier but can usually work through that. Friendliness I rate as 4.5. With different personalities I think mom finds she gets along with some aids better than others. Quality of care I rate as 4. Mom's needs are met. The one down sides are meal prep. Some aids will default to warming food in the microwave and before cooking meat from the freezer for home cooked meals. Value I rate as 3. Home care is generally very expensive.

Easy to work with, able to accommodate schedule requests. Responded quickly with any issues that arose. Would recommend company for others

What we liked the most about Home Matter was the simple explanations and their eagerness to help. Yes, we would recommend their services to other families based on the experience we have had.

Overall, the care we received was good. Once we found a few reliable care workers, it was excellent. It did take some work to find a few that were reliable. Otherwise I would give a 5 rating.

The biggest problem is bringing someone in to the home that's not familiar with routine, having to train individuals. Without insurance it's not cost effective out of pocket, the highest was around [removed]K$s in one month. Some didn't want to work only 2 hours minimum. Lots of downtime with nothing to do, personality conflicts.

They provide excellent care and friendliness. They are very reliable. I would recommend them to others who are needing home care services.

Home Instead has been great for my husband's care. Our caregiver is kind, smart, and thorough. I couldn't ask for more from her. Starting care was easy. Office follow up is excellent. I am always informed if there is a change. Very pleased.

This company has many caregivers who require shifts of at least 1/2 day. Because that is more that I need, they do their best to accommodate. This is an inconvenience for them, but they have stepped up. I'm appreciative of that.

The aide they assigned has been great - very sweet to my husband - and strong enough to move him when necessary. I would recommend

Just like finding a doctor or a dentist, you have to find a fit for the person that you're caring for and your service gave me the opportunity to make changes as needed, and the service owners are very flexible and are easy to contact for feedback.

Their Service was very good. Turnover of caregivers was not the best. There were 4 different caregivers until having one who stayed. The manager was proactive about finding the right caregiver for my brother and I appreciate that.

What we think FirstLight Home Care could improve on would be to hire more caregivers if possible. No one as available for nights.

[name removed], the owner, is great, and we LOVE [name removed], who became my mom's regular caregiver, but we had some issues with scheduling and communication when [name removed] had to be out of town for several weeks because of a family emergency.
