We hired Advacare to assist a 70 year old with dementia while living at home with her husband. While they did provide those basic services there were some difficulties with the care providers managing the in home dynamics of the situation. Particularly the husband being a bit controlling over the type of care or assistance the providers were giving. This made it difficult for Advacare to provide proper services, and led to them end their services with us due to caregivers not wanting to work with the family. The situation was difficult but I think Advacare could have done a better job with working with us to manage the situation better, or at least being more open and honest up front about their capabilities as they knew about the family dynamics going on, before we signed up with them. I think they were just wanting to get a client rather than understanding the full situation and determining if they were a good fit or not.

I think we all are overwhelmed. I required a lot of answers to questions, and there is a need to request ongoing information but they seem to have smoothed out. I do wish I felt more comfortable asking questions or questioning services, but for now, it’s ok

We used their services over the holidays. The state regulations and IRS rules create limits on how many days a person can work. Thus in seven days we may have had three caregivers. We may have had a dozen or so caregivers whose competency was good to great. Personalities, experience, and work methods varied. Thus as the person paying for the services I always wondered what to expect or ask. List of promised actions seemed foreign to a few of them. Took two weeks before we felt cared for instead of trainers of the workers. I would use Evergreen again.

The owner of Newmark was so kind and understanding when I was able to speak with her concerning home care my Aunt needed. Very friendly and took her time to understand the situation/need. The owner came to my aunts home herself when her staff were already scheduled with other clients! Great customer service! Their agency was the least expensive in the Muncie, IN area and required the least amount of hours per week, which made the cost more reasonable. I would recommend them!

The staff of Houck Family Services was caring and professional. I had to remind them a few times to reimburse me for unused services. Enough time spent here. For a more inclusive review, you'll need to pay me for my time.

We have been using Right at Home for 3 months now. My dad has the beginning stage of dementia and we needed someone to be home with him while I'm at work. The caregivers we have are not certified nurses, because that is not what we need at this time. The people that work in the office are very friendly and professional. They always answer the phone and handle any questions quickly and respectfully. We did have an issue with one particular aide who failed to show up for her shift, and the company was quick to address the issue. They almost always call to inform me of any changes to caregiver schedule and they’ve always updated me if they are sending a replacement. Communication is good with them and they seem to care about the client and the family.

We could not be more thrilled with HandyCare. [name removed] the owner is absolutely amazing and has amazing talent on her team. [name removed]who supports my 90 year mom is delightful… we could not be any happier with this wonderful support for my mom!!!

My 91 year old mother is quite difficult to work with and has fired several caregivers we’ve had in the past. She is happy however with Purple Heart. They have changed their hours and days working from 7 to 3 to one day a week as my mom’s condition improved. [name removed] is great at accommodating our wishes and knows how to approach an elderly patient with dementia, and frequently emails me with updates on how things are going.

The service was as I expected Since I am a new client I would rather wait a longer period of time to give an accurate review. So far the caregiver supplied has been ok after a few visits to get accustomed to our needs.

They found someone that could start immediately and worked with our schedule. The caregiver is good to our mom and works to make her feel comfortable. She also does some light housekeeping to fulfill her time at the house.

My dad really likes all the caregivers he has had. They clean and do whatever he needs done. They do not have a lot of clients in Jefferson county so the reliability has been an issue. A lot of the caregivers do not like traveling into Jefferson county. This has improved in the last few weeks. I have been told that they have hired more caregivers for Jefferson county because they are getting more clients in Jefferson county. My only issues have been not letting us know when someone is not showing up and that is with the office help not caregivers.

We had [Name Removed] for about 4 hours for 4 days over New Years. My husband was very happy with her. I had come home expecting to take down the Christmas tree and drag it to our trash area and[Name Removed] had done it all! She was wonderful, wanting to keep busy while she was here. Very happy with her!

Working with [Name Removed] has been wonderful. She is friendly, attentive and was very responsive to our questions and concerns. The caregiver she provided for us is pleasant and provides the assistance needed to help mom.

[Name Removed] hooked us up with a friend for my Mother in law. She helped break up the monotony of the usual day to day. She helped with showering my MIL and share lots of great conversations. I would recommend [Name removed] and her team for companion care.

The first Nurse, we had [Name Removed], I feel way overcharged us and one day. She just didn’t even show up and left my bed riddance sister to fend for herself in a messy diaper. The second nurse we had, which was [Name Removed], from Anchor Pointe. I can’t say enough good things about this woman. She was an angel sent from heaven to us. She was so kind, nice,caring, and understanding. She dealt with our budget and did not try to overprice us at all like the first Nurse and I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a home healthcare nurse in the future.

They were very nice during the initial interview. The people they have sent to help have all been very nice and helpful . Unfortunately they have not always shown up consistently. They did offer replacement appointments to make up for missed ones but my schedule wouldn't allow changes. Reliability is important. I can understand sometime being sick but they should be able to offer a backup on the same appointment day. Overall I'm very satisfied with this agency. They're all very caring and nice.

My actual caregiver was wonderful. Could not have asked for any better. Extremely helpful and kind. Loved her dealt. The service itself was less than desired. Communication was almost impossible. I would call and leave multiple messages to not have them returned. Not a good way to treat clients.

They are very good caring for my sister my only small complaint is that breakfast and meds are not given until after 10-10:30 some times when she is use to an earlier breakfast and the same for dinner and pm meds she is use to dinner about 4:30 but isn’t given until after 5-5:30 but she seems to be adjusting to this schedule but one person cares for her instead of several which I really like and they can do extra hours if I need them to

The representatives of Interim Healthcare were very responsive to talking with me about potential needs of my mother upon her discharge from rehab. They had a lot of good suggestions and were very helpful to me as an out-of-town family member. When it was determined that my mother did not need a high level of assistance. Once she was discharged from rehab the Interim Healthcare people ended their connection with me, but let me know that if I needed to reach out to them again I could.

Very responsive to all our requirements. Have listened to our requests and needs. Caregivers are kind and caring and have gone above and beyond to meet the needs. I would highly recommend Sr. Helpers for home Healthcare needs.
