Brookdale

Brookdale has been excellent for my mother. The food is really good, and she seems to like it. They also have activities and games going on all the time, and the staff seems very interested in keeping the residents involved. The place is clean, and we love that it is so close to home. We also love that this particular community specializes in dementia and memory care. We are very lucky.

Staff is a bit low. Good food-has improved the past 6 months and more variety. Exercises very beneficial. Administration is improving. Maintenance is very on top of things!

Very well set up for “age in place” progression. Location convenient. Definitely a possibility for Mom.

Generally happy with living here. Nice apartments & staff is great. Not happy that we no longer have towel services- a problem for some of us. not enough heart-healthy foods on the menu.

Brookdale has provided a warm, loving and safe place to be!

I find it a great place to live, like one big family. The only thing bad is the dining room, it's like a cafeteria, not the dining room it used to be.

This will be my second month at Brookdale and it’s turned out real well for me. It’s clean, the people are nice. There are still some things I’m not totally happy with. Sometimes I have trouble getting around and I found out that they want $16 just to take me to get a meal and go back to my room. I think that’s something they can work on. Other than that, the people are very nice to me. From management on down, they’re terrific, even the wait staff in the kitchen. If there’s something wrong, they’ll take care of it right away. I had a bug problem and they sent someone to fumigate it quickly. The food is good, there are good choices. The staff will let me order food and they’ll bring it to me because I can’t get it myself. They’ve got a menu and a half of food and they change it up. Every day they offer you soup to start and there’s a salad bar. When they clean, they come in the actual apartment and actually do a thorough cleaning every other week. The trash goes out 3 times a week, they sweep and mop and they just keep it nice. They’ve got a ton of stuff to do for activities, like poker and all kinds of movies. They have free transportation to doctors’ appointments and they make sure they don’t miss you when you come back, they’re there waiting for you. I’ve checked a lot of places and some of them are a lot more expensive. This is a good value, I know it could be more expensive, and I would recommend living here.

I visited 6 possible candidates for my "senior living" choice three years ago and my only regret is the I didn't do it sooner. I like the openness of the building, the air and light, the friendliness of the residents, and genuineness of the interest shown by our employees to the people who live inside our walls. I've never looked back.

Lovely place and great people. Open and airy. Too wide open for mom to get around unless she had a motorized chair.

My wife has been at Brookdale for a month and her treatment by in-home personnel has been very good. She has been happy with the meals and the usual twice-a-day entertainment in the mornings and afternoons. Overall, She is happy with Brookdale.

I'm so thankful for finding this community the caregivers are friendly and responsive to my mom's needs. The food is great and have plenty of activities if she can do them. The courtyard is beautiful my mom loves being outside. It is always clean and nice, I went with this community for the overall quality of care.

My wife and I toured this community and we loved it,was nice and clean and a new building. The director [Removed] was absolutely wonderful to work with she was open to thoughts and concerns of ours. Answered all our questions but unfortunately, it just wasn't the right place for dad and his memory care so we had to choose another community.

My parents have moved into Brookdale Willows Sherman community. Overall, the experience has been quite positive. The staff has been exceptionally kind and helpful this entire time, and they are always ready to help my parents or myself when we need assistance or have questions. There are activities in the community for the residents to take part in. However, my parents are still settling in, so they haven’t involved themselves very much yet. Our only principal complaint so far is with the food. Meals taste good and are nutritious; however, the portions sizes are consistently too small at all meal times. It is almost as if they do not have enough resources for all the residents. However, my mother commented that things have been improving lately. Despite this one issue, we would still recommend Brookdale to others.

My mother has moved into Brookdale Madison West. To me, the item that stood out the most about Brookdale is the fact that the community is always very clean. There is no trace of the odor that some of these places can have. The meals here are excellent, and always complete and nutritious. There are activities here for the residents to participate in, but my mother usually doesn’t choose to take part. Overall, I feel my mother is safe and is well taken care of. I would recommend Brookdale to others.

Great place the community is really nice and staff is so friendly.

I really liked the fact that this was a smaller community with only 30 to 50 residents and the staff did an excellent job with our tour, they took their time showing us around and answering our questions. Unfortunately, my brother did not meet their criteria as he was not mobile enough for the type of care they offered. I would highly suggest taking one of their tours here as it is a very nice place.

This is a very nice community and the staff did a great job with our tour, they took their time they showed us all around, there were a lot of amenities for the residents there to choose from, the rooms were nice and we would recommend taking one of their tours to see the community first hand.

I really liked the Brookdale Chandler Ray Road community. It is a beautiful and clean environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They would have been very accommodating to our needs. We ended up choosing another community based on a family member who requested closer proximity to their location.
