Everybody here is very nice – treat you like “Family”. The activities are great. If you ask to get something special - it is done before you know it. [Removed] are great.

The Hearth is well maintained, public spaces clean and attractive, apartments the same – including my one – bedroom apartment which is attractive and comfortable. While I could easily have rated this community as “great”. I have rated if just blow “great” because I would appreciate an improvement in its menu – but all other services – van aides, telephone and TV, reception, planned activities etc. are great.

This is a very nice place. The staff is very accommodating, in any activities, apartments are well maintained. The food service: quality, preparation, serving leaves something to be desired.

My wife and I lived in this community last year. She passed on from Alzheimer’s disease last December. I plan to live at this community, and I find that the community meets my needs. I find the staff helpful and outgoing. Meals are more than satisfactory with some excellent. Housekeeping and laundry do very good work.

We are happy living here. Staff is very kind and considerate. Also we find the location very convenient. Very nice family.

Mostly I think the residence and staff are lovely people and not only helpful but, like family.

What really drew me to this community was the fact they are more geared towards the medical aspect of things. My Father, unfortunately, has some medical problems including diabetes and I really wanted to find a place that would best suit the care he needs. Everything is so well maintained here. It's very well kept and clean. There is no odor like you would expect there to be. The staff is very attentive and responsive to any issues that arise. They are also very nice and friendly to my Father. They do offer activities including arts/crafts, occasional field trips, exercise, and yoga. There is a calander of activities and every day they have a different activity. I highly recommend this community.

This facility was really nice but all of there staff members seemed really new. The director was promoted and they just hired a new community guy to name a few. Although, they did strike me as competent. All of the staff members were outstanding. The building itself was a little on the older side and seemed a little run down. Nothing was wrong with the community, it just wasn't in as good of a shape. But, they did say that they were starting to do some renovations. I would really recommend this community.

I didn’t tour other places when choosing a place for my mother. This was the first place that we had gone and my mother just fell in love with it right away. Her favorite thing about it was her room. She has a one bedroom unit and her bedroom would be separate from the living area. It would also include a small kitchen and a large bathroom. She thought that she wouldn’t get as much space anywhere else so this sold it for her. The place itself is nice; it has been updated within the past 3 years so it has a modern look. It was very clean and they do their laundry and take out the trash weekly. The staff seems pleasant enough while first arriving. However, I only really talked to front desk receptionist and the marketing advisor. I did not appreciate how they were not up front about the extra fees. The advisor that I was speaking with explained to me everything that they offered not knowing that it was an “al la carte” style. Depending on the amount of care that a patient needs there would be a few up charges. I only later found this out while I was finalizing the paper work for my mother. Something like this should be noted upfront on a price sheet. My mother was not a fan of the food that they served in the dining area. The kitchen staff had to keep in mind of others dietary needs which, in result, caused the food to come out blander than she would have wanted it. However, their dining area was very nice. They tried to keep it from looking like a cafeteria as much as they could. It actually looks more like a restaurant. It is very neat and tidy. They also had a number of activities that were available. They offered different types of crafts, bingo, they always have a jigsaw puzzle going, weekly movie nights, and happy hours on Fridays. They also do surprise field trips. The activity coordinator gathers everyone up, does not tell them where they are going, and then they go there. Aside from the staff the residents there seem pleasant. My mother has not faced any trouble with anyone. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place but my mom is comfortable and getting the medical attention that she needs.

I was looking for a place for my Mother-In-Law and I came across this community. I really liked this facility but it just didn’t seem to be as good of a fit for her like other places were. The biggest deciding factor was that it wasn’t as close as what I wanted. Also, it didn’t seem to be as bright and vibrant as other places I have looked at. The community seemed nice and looked fine. Everything looked clean but it just wasn’t for us. They do offer activities like going to casinos, exercise classes, card games, and watching movies. I would recommend this community.

My wife and I were looking for a place for both of us so we could stay together and my kids found this place. They had an available 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit for when we wanted to move in, and it was the nicest place any of us had seen, so we took it. The staff is easy to communicate with and they seem to know what they’re doing. They keep the facility pretty clean as well. There’s plenty of food but its institutional food. It’s heavy on the grease, the menu is inconsistent from day to day, but if you don’t like what they’re serving or what’s on the menu then you can order a sandwich. The issue that I’ve had since being here, though, is with the billing department. I got a bill one day, which I paid immediately, and then a week or so later I got another bill from them saying I was late in my payment and that they would be charging me a late fee. They’ve since rectified this.

I liked everything about this place. No garage, the 3rd shift will visit with her at 3:00am. The room for her is in the back, a long walk for her. 35-40 residents.

A medium sized facility with great, attentive staff and a welcoming feel to it. I thought it clean, but my sisters, who apparently have keener senses of smell than I did not give it the highest marks in that regard. Excellent ratio (one staffer to four residents) in the memory care unit. Fenced outdoor area in the courtyard adjoining the memory care unit feels too small, but the rest of the inside courtyard is spacious and pleasant. A charming community.

This is my first choice, [Removed] was excellent in providing all the information and support in the process. Very good facility.

I’ve been living in Brookdale for a couple of months now, and I love my little studio apartment. The people that work here are tremendous. The sales manager, [Removed] has been great to me, and she has been incredibly helpful. The residents here are also very nice. The place is clean, and the food is good as well. Really the only issue is that sometimes, they seem to run out of food or the menu says one thing will be served, but the food is different when you get into the dining room because they didn’t have something. Otherwise, Brookdale has been great, and I’d recommend it to others.

This is a nice community the staff is helpful but would like to see more encouragement to get involved. They have lots of activities but with my sister's dementia she forgets so would just love for them to try more with her. The food could use some improvement its the basic mass produced food so more variety would be nice. There is a beautiful garden area with raised beds, also a wildlife sanctuary that they can see through the windows. It is a clean community but we have to be sure they go in weekly to clean her apartment. Overall I would recommend them to anyone who is looking.

Brookdale was great while my mother was there. Most of the staff is extremely helpful. They do seem short staffed, but most are friendly and accommodating. The director, [Removed] was incredibly helpful to us. The food is good, but a little too salty though. However, they are willing to accommodate different dietary needs. The place is very clean, and they just finished a renovation. They’ve moved in new furniture, put in new carpet and had some painting done. They’ve really spruced it up. I think that as far as a weak point goes, the activities are it. There is some live entertainment, some sing-alongs and things like that, but they seem a little sparse overall, and not very stimulating. Overall though, I would definitely recommend Brookdale to others.

Brookdale is excellent. They are great at assisting and catering to the needs that my mother-in-law has. I love the activities; the piano and dancing they have on Wednesdays. I love the general interaction with the people there, and I love Rosy and Bojangles, the birds they have at the entrance. Brookdale is great at making everyone a part of this welcoming, inviting community. I only have one suggestion, that they have a support class for the families so that they have information and help for what to expect when helping an aging family member. Otherwise, I’d absolutely recommend Brookdale to others.

My mother moved into Brookdale, and overall, it has been a worthwhile experience. While the nighttime people aren’t quite as attentive as I’d like them to be, the daytime staff are very good about keeping the residents involved and active. They have lots of activities available to keep the residents stimulates such as sing-alongs, walk about activities, puzzles, and games. The community is also clean. They are doing some renovations now like painting and hanging new light fixtures, but overall, they do maintain a clean place, and I feel the renovations speak to their concerns of keeping the community safe and well maintained. I’d definitely recommend Brookdale to others.
