Brookdale

Our loved one has only been there for a couple of months and so far all the people we have encountered seem to be very friendly and helpful. They doing quite a good job of keeping us updated with her health, and any updates regarding her medication.

The community is a really nice place and everyone is friendly. The community is short-staffed but it seems to be that way everywhere. They have activities for the residence to do and The community is neat and clean I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

We have known many people who have been at Brookdale. It is a very nice, very large facility. Almost too large for what we were looking for, I would recommend them for more independent individuals.

Very large facility in good condition. List prices are higher than some of the others, but there were reductions offered. One of ones I'm considering.

Brookdale was very nice. Clean, bright and welcoming. Very good food options. Lots of activities. Staff seems genuinely caring. The only drawback to me was the lack of closet space. There is very little available in the apartments.

Our virtual tour was good. With the virtual format, I was pleasantly surprised how much we were able to see and how much conversation we were able to have. I just wasn't really feeling it with the community. The apartment sizes were smaller, and I didn't like the configuration of the community. The different care types seemed more intermingled together, which is fine. But we preferred more separation of the care types in a facility, which seemed more organized for staff and residents that way. Also, after reading other online reviews, I didn’t feel the need to see Brookdale Chandler in person. The tour was good. I'd rate the tour a 4.5. The community itself I'd rate a 3.5, just based on our personal preferences.

We did a tour with this community and it was very nice. The tour was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us lots of information to consider.

Everybody is friendly, both the staff and the residents. I like the staff. They know my name, and I still don't know how with all these masks on. My apartment is a 1-bedroom and has been good. It's a nice size for just me. The food doesn't taste very good to me, but that could just be me. But I do like some of it. Overall I would recommend them.

The staff is very friendly, professional, and cares about the residence. They have activities available for the residence and offer a good value for the money. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

I just went for a tour to compare with other assisted living facilities. This facility is very clean and bright. The clients looked comfortable. However, I felt like I was in a commercial on tour. When the gentleman asked me if I wanted him to contact the local realtor to sell my mom’s house he may as well have reached in my purse and taken out my wallet. Turned me right off.

We chose Brookdale because of the close location to family, it is a smaller facility, and they had a private room available. The room sizes at the facility are on the smaller side compared to others that we looked into. I have noticed that there has been quite a bit of turnover of management. It is a small, intimate facility but the care is very individualized and we have been very pleased. I would recommend to others looking.

Brookdale Broadmoor was too big for my taste. Because of it's size, I was worried about my loved one not getting the care she needed. But the gentleman who ran the tour was very nice.

My only problem is with the food. The meats are usually overcooked, especially chicken breasts. And vegetables are often undercooked. Since I am lactose sensitive, I wish that cream sauces would be done with lactose free milk or cream. This problem is VERY common in older people.

I like the people and can afford to live here because of my military payment.

The lady who took us on the tour was super nice, and all the people we interreacted with were super nice. My loved one actually really liked it and said it felt very homey. But it was just too far away. If we had stayed in that area, that would have been our choice.

The activities are opened back up which is very nice our loved one can participate in pretty much anything. When it comes to what they are offering the value is pretty reasonable, and we would recommend this community to others.

The location of the community is beautiful, it is very nicely located and makes for a lot of nature and access to nature. The public areas of the community are clean, but we were having an issues with the once a week house keeping but that situation has been rectified. Some of the staff members there are extremely good and others not so much. It also does seem that they are offering regular activities.

We chose Brookdale Farmington Hills because each apartment has a screened in patio which is a big perk and the residents are encouraged to garden or plant whatever they would like in the space around their patio area. My parents love planting vegetables and flowers so it was perfect. They are in a 1 bedroom apartment and it suits them perfectly. The staff here have just been phenomenal, it was a rush for us to move them especially during covid and they were very accommodating. I would recommend to others looking.

The staff is outstanding and goes above and beyond to help everyone. They are updating the community on the grounds and replacing the carpet. The community is neat and clean, and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this community to others and they are also pet friendly.
