Brookdale

Rooms have sitting areas and a bedroom and sink. They are small. 1 story and homey which Mom would like. Nice courtyard and sitting area/sunroom overlooking the golf course. The largest is 360 sq ft at [fee removed] with possible additional charges for care. I sent the medical records to her and am waiting to see if AltaVita provided them information. Waiting to see if they will accept Mom or not. DENIED due to Dementia diagnosis.

We were able to do a short in-person tour with Brookdale East Mesa. I found that the administrative staff member we spoke to was not as helpful with giving information as some of the other places that we looked. There was also a bad smell right when we walked into the facility which turned us away. The people did seem to be happy from what we saw.

My Mother-in-Law is very comfortable and content at Brookdale. The facility is clean and maintained. During Covid I felt very secure with my Mother-in-Law in the facility. They excelled in taking precautions. We are very happy with our choice of facility, it gives us peace of mind.

Brookdale Lexington is a nice place, and the staff members have been very nice. The care services are good, every morning I call they are really good about giving me updates about my husband. He seems to be very content there.

We chose Brookdale Redmond because they had an independent living apartment available for my mom and also they do have memory care units which is important for her in the future. The location of the facility was also good. The apartment sizes here are large and spacious. I would recommend to others looking.

Our experience with Brookdale has been good. Communication up front is not the best about how to get care and who to talk to to. The food is great, they are enjoying all activities, and maintenance staff have been very responsive. I would tell others to make sure you know what the monthly fee will be including the add ons. I would recommend to others who are looking, it is the best you are going to get for this price that we were able to find.

It is a good place. Overall my mom is happy. It is a good place to live for an older person. My loved one would like to see a bit more variety of food. The community is close to family and that helps us see our loved one.

I give this facility an above fair rating. It was a nice facility with great staff but not quite what we are looking for. We are looking for assisted living with as much homey feel as possible. The rooms are smaller here and the facility felt more like a nursing home than an apartment facility.

We chose Brookdale Foundation House because the rooms were pretty big and the location is not on a main street so it is nice and quiet and surrounded by trees. We have not seen any administrative staff since we have moved my mom in here. They were very involved in the beginning. activities very limited due to covid but they are trying to open things back up as we are allowed. I think once there is more to do, it will be perfect fit for my mom. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Painted Post because I did some research online and they had the highest rating of any of the ones in the area we looked at. The location of the facility was also great for us. The room sizes here are reasonable. They were extremely upbeat whenever talking about arrangements, even when they knew of negative aspects they took the positive road to change her feelings towards having to be here. I do think the communication system for administrative staff could be better so I made that suggestion to them. I would absolutely recommend to other families that are looking.

We chose this community because of the big bay windows, it brings so much natural sunlight. We love the square kitchen in our apartment, it has very large storage. The hallways, doors going into the rooms and bathrooms are large enough for wheelchairs, so the community is very wheelchair accessible. We have made a lot of friends here, they have a lot of activities and we love the TV room. The lady who picks out the movies is amazing she does such a great job. The fish they cook here is amazing, its incredible. However we do think the cooperation is dragging their feet a little bit when it comes to updating some parts of the community and service. So far I am having a positive experience with Brookdale Meridian.

Due to Covid, there was a little confusion with visitation in the beginning. They weren't allowing visitors on the weekend, but I'm happy that they are doing so now. I've had frustrations with little things, like my loved one's TV remote doesn't work. There's a tear in the carpet in her room, and her walker gets caught in it, which could be dangerous. They said they fixed both things, but we're still having those same issues. My loved one likes the food, which is huge for her. I feel they don't clean as well as they should. The common areas are very clean, but my loved one's room is less so. But the nurses are very, very nice. My loved one is definitely getting the service that she needs. I love that they have laundry service to wash her clothes. Overall, I feel like she's getting what she needs. Sometimes you get what you need, but there's still going to be some social, emotional, and relative costs. It can be a difficult adjustment for the resident and the family. But I can't say that I'm displeased at all.

During the time our loved one was there, the community was always very clean. The people were very personable, and would tell us little things about our mother so we knew they were really paying attention to her. Our loved one had to leave and go into a nursing home, but they always told us she was such a joy to be around and it was just an excellent place.

This is a great community and we had an overall good experience here. It's neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

We did a tour with Brookdale Lake Mary and it was an average tour. There was nothing negative that we saw about the facility, we just felt like her needs would be met better at another place we had seen.

Our Grandfather like the Brookdale Paddock community, although he does complain about the food. He says they get turkey sandwiches every day for dinner so it gets repetitive. Also the activities are still pretty limited, but the community is very clean and well managed.

Seems like a very nice set-up. WE are seriously considering moving my parents over there. They have everything we are looking for.

My loved one likes the breakfasts but doesn't enjoy the rest of the food. It would be good to see more activities towards men such as movie choices. It is very clean and very organized. The people are friendly and there are lots of choices for activities. I like there is a walkway around the building and exercise classes available.
