Brookdale

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The location, value, and caring staff stand out to me. You have an option to cook in your own kitchen, if you don't like what is being served by the community. They have bingo, yoga, library, excursions, and more for the residents to chose from on activities.

Our family had an in person tour and our experience was very good. They did have restrictions so while we were there at the community, the sales lady had a nurse go around the community with her phone which was very nice. We were very tempted to put our love done there but in the very end it was covid that messed us up. We felt they became short staffed and we wanted to make sure our loved one was going to find and get the best care. Brookdale is a newer community which was very nice

We liked Brookdale community it was closer to our parents previous home. It is a nice community and smaller which we liked. However for both of our parents they only had one room available, hit reminded us of a hotel room and we just did not think that space was going to be big enough for them. The staff though was still very friendly and helpful

I would say to others it is worth looking at. I think they were friendly overall. The staff were good to work with. The communication with the sales person was good. The communication with the staff could be better, though.

We chose Brookdale Monroe Square because of the proximity to where I work, the room itself, at the time it was my dad and mom and they were able to get them a suite, and the price was a little better than some others we looked into. My dad is now in a 2 person room and he is the only one there so he has plenty of space. He was also in a very small room so they have rooms of all sizes to choose from. Dad is complaining about the food, he said there is not a lot of variety for breakfast. They have been really good on the virus, they have been strict about visitors and have followed protocols very well to keep residents safe. I would recommend them to others looking.

It is very expensive, the people are nice. As much as you pay it should significantly be better overall. Everything should be the top level on everything for the community, services, and more and my loved one isn't getting this. The communication with the staff is good. The food is fine for my loved one.

We chose them because they are pet friendly and it was an emergency situation for us and they were able to take her. The people are wonderful and the facility is great but the billing is not good. We have big issues with billing. corporate is not in touch with what is happening locally. Every time we get a bill we call and try to get it figured out, there is a lack of transparency when trying to get an itemized bill. So if you are doing private pay it is not a good place but if you have insurance it is the best place. I would tell others just to make sure to advocate for your loved ones.

Beautiful facility. Each one of the staff whom we met was kind and friendly. The activities looked interesting, the menu was varied, and Everything was clean. Lots of light : ) I took mom for a tour; I think she is not yet ready to make a decision.

We toured this community and it was very nice. The facility is older but the staff was very friendly and the food was really good. The community just didn't fit our needs due to them not having a memory care unit.

We chose Brookdale Grandon Farms because I got a very good virtual tour at the time as well as the value for the money. He is in a shared room and I think it is a little snug. We have had a few issues with administrative staff with communication and not taking care of things we asked for. But overall it is a very beautiful place and I feel like he is getting good care. I would definitively recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Irvine at the time because the staff, the cleanliness, and the location as well. The room sizes here are really good. They do not have a lot of variety on the menu and she said the food was bland, so I think they could improve there. The staff to patient ratio is terrible, the poor staff are overworked. She needed a lot more care than they were able to offer. When you add care the cost also increases as well. I would still recommend them depending on the care needs, for people who need less care it is a great place.

Beautiful facility with every imaginable amenity but priced way out of my league.

I liked that place. the person [name removed] who met me was very informed and had answers to most of my concerns. I will definitely keep this one on my list.

We had a virtual tour here, so we only got to see limited things online. But we liked what we saw enough that my loved one was actually going to go here. They ended up having some Covid cases at the time of his scheduled move-in, so they were able to place him at a different Brookdale temporarily until those Covid cases could get resolved. But we never did get to move in at Brookdale Fayetteville since my loved one passed away due to an unexpected medical emergency and subsequent decline shortly after moving in at that different Brookdale location - at no fault of theirs. But all the people I interacted with at Fayetteville were very nice, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and showed concern and empathy.

Rated this facility at 3.4/5.0 based on my criteria. Good COVD and security checks. Facility is modern but commons areas are small. Exterior is very nice, private and quiet. Diversity noted among staff and residents. Residents appeared to be more active, not as many wheelchairs as noted in other facilities. Individualized care program set up for each resident (not using the 4 Level approach)

Brookdale seems to be a very nice community, our experience has been pretty good so far. They are doing some activities, our loved one was not engaging at first but that has change. The residents are now allowed to leave the community and go out to eat with their families. Our only issues we have ran into would be the services we are paying for. We are paying for special toilet-trees to be provided to our loved one, and we are still having to buy them ourselves. Also we had to be a little more proactive with our loved ones medication management.

Our family had a virtual tour and obviously not being in the space makes it much harder to evaluate fully, however they did a great job taking us around the community.

It is worth looking at this community. My loved one seems to be okay here. In my opinion it is a good place to go. My loved one seems to enjoy the food. They have a good variety of food as well. They have treats for the residents.

Brookdale Orland was nice. The location was convenient, and I liked the amenities they offered. But it was a little bit out of our price range.
