Brookdale

I think it is a great location and they provided great care, especially for memory care patients. The activity calendar looked amazing especially before covid times. She really liked the food here. I do think administrative staff could have improved on their communication skills with the families. I would recommend to others looking.

Covid has made some things difficult. For instance, if you drop something off, you can't bring it in. And then it has to sit in the front foyer for a day, which I don't think is necessarily secure. There were a lot of extras we ended up having to pay for that we weren't aware of, like medical supplies and snacks. From what I know now, that's pretty standard. I just wish I would have know up front. The staff have been in touch with my brother and I regularly, although some communication could be a little better. They sent a Mother's Day email the other day, and it would have been nice to have more than three days advance notice that they were going to allow family in to the rooms to visit. But again, I know everything changes so quickly with Covid. I've had nothing but good interactions with the staff. When we contact them with questions or concerns, they've been great. My loved one likes the drink cart. I'm not sure how often they bring it by, but she seems happy every time she tells me about it. The only thing I worry about with my loved one is that she puts on a good show, even when she's not doing well mentally, and I'm not entirely sure they see through that. This has been a tough transition for her. This is what has been difficult with Covid and not being able to go inside to visit. There are things we see that they don't because we know her well. But I'm sure that would be the case anywhere.

It is good to have a community with a memory care unit close to where you live. There is an assisted living for non memory care and memory care unit. It seems like a dichotomy of the way the residents are provided with for services. The assisted living has two patio areas and swings to visit with relatives and other residents.. The memory care area has one courtyard with no grass and they have plants. This can make it hard for the memory care residents who are used to being outside. Our family member is used to having food cooked a certain way. The food is never hot when my loved one receives their food. The choices that my loved one will eat is limited.

I have nothing bad to say about Brookdale. I think with the pandemic they have done the very best they can. The staff from top to bottom are great and do what it takes to help and they are very friendly. Make sure you are a big part of a loved one's life after move-in. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

It would be a maybe community, due to the expense of the community. The food seems to be bland for residents and sometimes it is good. Some of the activities include chats with other residents, bingo, and other activities for the residents to choose from.

This was a bit pricey and my loved one's room would be upstairs. These were the drawbacks. This was a nice community.

We chose Brookdale North Euclid because of the cost, it was one of the least expensive places we found and I liked that it was smaller than some of the other places meaning our cousin would get more one on one attention. The room sizes here are too small and the bathrooms are not handicap accessible or made for people who need help bathing which has been one of our issues. There was a sore that my cousin has had for a long time and it has gotten worse, so some promises that were made are not followed through. I think that when we discussed the pricing initially it was a lot less than we are paying right now, so I wish they would have been more realistic with us in the beginning on the pricing.

Our family was able to do an in person tour, and our experience was very good. The community was clean, there were no fowl smells. The staff members we spoke to had great communication.

Brookdale Eagan is a friendly, light, bright and overall nice place. We believe the food is pretty good, the rooms they provide for the residents are everything you would need, and we would recommend the community to others.

I have been very satisfied with the care my loved one has been received. The friendliness and support of the resident needs stands out to me. They take the care personally for the residents. The community provides a daily schedule of activities for the residents, and they are well scheduled. A great variety of different activities for the residents.

We chose Brookdale Everett because I liked they offer medicaid, the location was good, and I liked the room the best that they showed me. Also, I really liked the feel of the staff, it was more of a small family feel and it did not seem like they were trying to sell me on things. The room sizes here are very good, she has a one bedroom apartment and it is good for what she needs. Mom has been a little frustrated with getting staff to do things differently and she feels her messages are not always received. But once I get involved things seem to get taken care of quickly. I would recommend them to others looking.

Our family had a virtual tour experience and it was good. The worker had a phone and took us around the facility. The communication was good, we got all the information we needed.

The community is modern and organized and is in a good location. I would remend this community based on my experience. the community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and easy to get along with.

Everything was good. for us It was what we had hoped for. Overall our loved one enjoyed the food. The food could be late or cold due to the food being delivered due to the pandemic.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They have genuine care for the residents, including my loved one. Sometimes it was hard to get an answer from the front desk; however, the director was willing to let me know about my loved one.

We chose Brookdale because they had a great marketing girl. There is a lot of turnover of staff. The communication could use improvement, you have to call multiple times to get a call back and it is hard to get answers. They have been good about having zoom meeting since we cannot go inside of the facility. They do a great job with her care and they have a lot of activities provided. I have not been inside the facility due to covid, so my feedback is from my mother and talking to the staff members, My mother is very happy here and has made a lot of friends and I know she is safe.

We toured Brookdale Sevierville and it was actually going to be our first choice, it was a very nice facility. We had to go with another one because they did not have any availability at the time that we were needing it.

We chose Brookdale Lake Mary because originally he was in another Brookdale facility and the ease of transferring him to another one was great. They have been really good about communication with everything that has been going on. The only reason I gave the care a 3 is because of the speed at which they respond to his call button. That its the only issue we have had here as well as they seem understaffed. Overall it is a good facility and has been a good experience and I would recommend them to others looking.

We have not been able to see the inside of the community, and we have not been able to see the meals ourselves but from speaking with our loved one they did not seem like they are a big fan of the food.

My loved one seems to enjoy the activities and food. It is a well run community. My loved one is happy here. This is a smaller community. The location is great as it is close by to visit my loved one.
