Brookdale

This was a nice community, was a little too expensive for us.

The overall quality of the meals has been great, but the coordination of making sure our loved one is getting the right meals has been difficult. They activities are fine and based off our experience so far we would recommend Brookdale Chatfield to others.

Our family had a virtual tour and even though it was virtually we got a good feel for the place and the staff had good communication.

We really like the community, but it was too close to the river for my loved one.

This community was very safe and they had activities. There were a lot of women sitting around and not many men. I feel that my loved one would not have liked it here. Just was not the right feel for what we were looking for.

We chose Brookdale Hollywood Park because this appeared to be the best one out of several that we looked at for type B assisted living. The room sizes are good for what her needs are. I think they could improve on the accuracy and timing on delivery of the medications. They do have a memory care unit attached to the regular type B assisted living facility, so if your loved one needs that care that is available.

The residents are always cold, and they aren't able to control the temperature in their own room. The resident's aren't able to bring in personal heaters. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. The food is all blah with no taste, but not sure if this is based on dietary restrictions. There are options for meals for the residents though.

Our first impression of Brookdale Dowlen Oaks was really the friendliness of the people and the value for cost, it is very reasonable. The facility itself and the rooms that are provided for the residents are very nice.

We found their in-house physical therapy to be excellent and something you don't find at many assisted living facilities. The Director (who is an RN as well) and the RN Nurse Director of Wellness are both very dedicated, wonderful people, who really do care about their residents. Through no fault of their own, they're having staffing issues right now, just like every place else. But my loved one has no complaints about the food. And in comparison to other places, I think their their cost is right on the mark.

They're friendly, and they are always open to listen. I think because of Covid and short-staffing, things are a little bit different right now than typical. My only complaint really is they didn't do an initial sit-down with him with the staff to talk about how things were there and show him around. They didn't really do that, so he was kind of up in the air about how things worked. He does tell me that the food is great. But activities have been a little slower due to the times. I know they're trying to hire an activities director.

This seems like a very nice place to have your loved one go to. There are some kinks just like other places and this seems like one of the better places to have a loved one. I would definitely recommend this community.

This is a warm and friendly atmosphere. There are challenges in staffing in housekeeping and dining; however, everyone is trying. The activities are wonderful. Any fault they have is due to the pandemic. The community is trying their best during this tough situation.

Good location. It cost too much for our loved one.

It's a very good location. The staff are friendly. They really take care of the residents and treat them like family. The nursing staff is very involved and concerned. My loved one says the food is good and seems satisfied with it. They have a lot of activities, but less right now due to Covid restrictions. Overall it's a great place.

We chose Brookdale Beavercreek because I thought it seemed like a nice and clean facility and all staff we interacted with were friendly. The apartment she got is nice, but it is on the smaller side. I was able to eat a meal here when we toured and the food was good. I would recommend to others who are looking,.

Brookdale Hagerstown was a very nice facility. The only downfall was the kitchen area was too small, there is not a lot of counter space.

There are a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. There aren't a lot of cliques, and there are more women than men here. It is a friendly atmosphere. The food is pretty good. They have transportation, but it is very limited and won't work for everybody. The Habit and other food locations are close by.

This is one of the best places to live at. The staff are very friendly. The shortage of staff can be kind of frustrating but Brookdale is constantly hiring new people to stay on top of the issue to resolve the shortage.

This community was just not homey, and did not give that warm feeling that we were looking for for our loved one. The tour people were very accommodating on the tour the community just did not fit our needs.

So far we are pleased with the facility. Anything that needs to be fixed is done immediatly. Mom seems to like the food very much. Staff is very friendly and helpful
