This community was good for my loved one. The one frustrating thing was that the doors were locked and when I wanted to come in and leave a lot of times I had to hang around or wait for someone to open the door. If they always had someone there to let people in and out it would be better.

They need to improve on their management of medical, medication distribution, and transportation for the residents. They need to have a van with a lift to accommodate the residents in wheelchairs. The communication with the staff could be improved as well. Stephanie the director is great. Anyone other than her, you will need to call multiple times to get an answer or check up to make sure your loved one's needs are met. This is a clean and safe community for your loved one.

We chose Brookdale because of the value for the money, the setting is very pleasant, and they have outdoor spaces where residents can go sit outside. The room sizes are pretty nice, my mom and dad have a 1 bedroom apartment. Theirs does not have a kitchen but some of the apartments do. They are great about letting you make your space your own. I would recommend to others who are looking.

We chose Brookdale Fort Myers because of the availability of the apartment style that she wanted. She wanted a lenay and full kitchen and she was able to get both of those here. I do think they could have a wider variety of activity provided. On Sundays they do not have anyone at the desk after 4, so I think the weekend hours should be changed. I would recommend to others looking and already have.
