Brookdale

COVID-19 has affected this business in respect to staffing always looking for more employees. This has effected the quality of everything. My mother in law loves the staff, food and most of all her room. Everything I showed concern for was promptly resolved. Not entirely happy how they bill. I had to question different charges. To be fair they fixed the bill.

This is a good place to go. The staff, activities stand out to me to make it a good place. They could improve on the cleanliness of the resident's room, and laundry. The people there are so nice and friendly.

We thought Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very nice, but a little too upscale. The people there seemed like they were always dressed with jewelry, etc. And I didn't think my loved one would fit in there. But it was gorgeous.

This community was not nice enough for what we were looking for for our loved one. It needed some updates and we just wanted something better.

This community was really great and it was a nice tour. The value for the cost and the location were the main two important factors for us.

Good staff and attentive. This wasn't as good as a value as other communities in the area.

Everything is going fine for our family here at Brookdale Germantown.

I was very impressed on my first tour of this facility. I have been very happy with the quality of care my mother has received. I am impressed with the professionalism shown by the staff.

Reasonably well run. Food is passable. Control of employees tends to be lax. Could be improved if caregivers were better supervised.

After 5 months I am happy here. Everyone is very nice.

Very grateful for staff who take care of our loved ones. I think they try very hard for the residents which is not always easy work. They do a very good job at what is often hard work.

Our family had an in person tour and Brookdale is nice, but our first impression right when we walked in is that it looked like a hospital setting, Very structured, the halls were kind of bare and we did get to see the community but a lot of our time was spent in the office. We also did not really see any residents out and about.

I thought this community had wonderful people and it was a wonderful place. My loved one was set to move in and then she refused to go so we had limited experience.

They are very caring here. The food is good, but not the best. They provide good service, and try to accommodate as much as possible. They are by far the less expensive in the area. I would recommend the community to others.

Our family had an in person our and it was a nice enough community but the community we toured beforehand just stood out more to us. Also, the dining room was pretty dreary and depressing. We just did not think that was going to be a good fit for our loved one.

The facility is good. The activities manager is very accommodating. If I have ANY concern, I can bring it to her, and she will address it. I hate to have to bring those non-activities related concerns to her, but she's a huge asset to Brookdale. In trying to get medical updates (effects of medications, etc.), responses are not timely. Currently it's been several weeks and I still don't have a response to my latest question. I don't like that the fact that I have to announce or schedule visits. There are only a few afternoon slots at 3:00 pm, so then the only times that are available are in the 6:30-7:30 pm range, and I'm not happy with that. For the amount of money I'm paying, I guess I expected a little bit more.

Brookdale has very comfortable apartments, and there is also a nice outdoor deck now where the residents can sit and watch the sunsets. Overall our loved one seem to be enjoying the meals.

I really liked Brookdale when I visited for my tour. The facility is newer and beautiful, but it was pricier.

This is a really good community for your loved one. They have exercise activities for the residents to participate in and more. My loved one is not able to participate in all of them. My loved one also does not care to much for the meals

I know they're short staffed. I don't personally have an issue with them. Sometimes my loved one doesn't always like the med techs, the ones that come in and give her her pills. And I think they could renovate and get new carpet in the hallways. It's a little dingy in there. But she has a nice unit with a screened-in porch, her own bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and living room. A lot of it is she doesn't want to be there. But the people there are pretty good. The person in charge of the med tech team is great. I've had some problems getting responses to emails, but after I mentioned it it the housing manager, they've been very responsive after that. It doesn't seem like housekeeping is coming in as often as promised to vacuum and take out the trash and things. But there are a lot of good things about the place. They have activities, meetings, and take the residents on outings - although the less functioning residents aren't able to participate. But overall, I still rate them relatively highly. I think if they remodeled a little, the rest of it is fine. The maintenance guy is very responsive. If there's an issue, he gets right on it.
