Brookdale

This community was pleasant we just were not prepared at the time for community living.

I feel safe and secure.

Nice facility, staff doing good job especially with the Covid issue!

Brookdale has proved to be every nice place to live I can hardly wait for the Covid problem has passed. The property is in nice condition and very clean. The employees are mostly exceptional. I hate to see the good ones go out the door.

Brookdale is beautiful when you walk in the front door. They have been struggling to meet their commitment to fine dining. Staff is committed during this very difficult time.

Because of the disruption of Covid we have had and are having the quitting of employees and turmoil's that go with it. But our Director [name removed] has been phenomenal by holding it all together, staying and keeping calm. She is much admired and we are so thankful to be under her care. Very good and I'm really particular about everything.

Al employees have been helpful, and polite! They are willing to answer questions or direct you to someone who can. The food is good, I find the choices not as interesting as they used to be but that may just be personal choice! I might join ''menu'' discussions if they resume. I don't understand '' mashed potatoes'' on top of bread. One or the other.

We chose Brookdale Greenwood Village because the facility offered larger nicer rooms than we had seen elsewhere, the activities director was engaging and wanted to get my mom out and about, and the location was convenient. I do think they could improve on the food quality, quantity, and variety.

Overall, the care and environment is so welcoming. Better activities workout equip updated, and Tai chi classes would be fun. Meals- more fresh and updated menus.

I think it's good overall. There's room for improvement, but most of the staff are friendly and nice. Its's an older place, but they keep it clean and keep it up pretty good. But I think they have some hidden agendas where they don't share everything. For instance, they have yearly price increases, and I think they should have shared that upfront.

We chose Brookdale Rose Valley because they were able to get her in right away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They implemented some programs that were not available and we really liked that. One of the downsides was during the whole lockdown, they did not do a lot to continue to keep the residents engaged or keep their minds active.

We chose Brookdale Monroe Square because they were able to provide memory care which we knew our loved one would eventually need that type of care. I think they could improve on the quality of their food and also they could offer more of a variety. Portion sizes are small and could be increased as well. I have been satisfied with the care and attention to medical needs. Overall I am pleased, they are just short staffed and the food needs improvement.

The experience here has been good. The food of course is the thing that has been rather disappointing, but it has been improving. There's a learning curve after living in a house for 55 years. Moving here was a bit of a shock, but we're getting used to it. The apartment has a washer and dryer in the unit, which is a big plus, and everything has been just fine.

We chose Brookdale Conway because it is a smaller facility and did not feel institutional. They only have about 30-40 residents so it is much more of a personalized experience for your loved one. She has a studio apartment and it is a good size. Their staff are very well trained on dementia care. They really try to keep the residents very active. They have physical therapy on site and it is amazing, my mother in law absolutely loves it. Staff always call when they need something and have been great with communication. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

I like the bus trips, shopping, activities offered to us. It's lots of fun here.

This community was nice but there were certain things that my loved one wanted in his community. This community was not pet friendly. Also the meal times were set for certain times of the day and my loved one wanted a free flowing schedule for meals. The laundry was also shared and my loved one wanted a personal wash area.

We would recommend to other families with reservations - families need to be prepared to work with communities during this time with staffing issues.
