Brookdale

This is a nice place to stay for your loved one. They have activities for the residents like outings, music and bingo and more for the residents to do. My loved one did not participate but they had things for the residents to do.

It is an okay place to live it seems really good for your loved one . They have activities for the community but they do not change often and some variety would be nice for the residents.

This community was nice but it did not have a big diverse community. That was important for me. It was very nice and clean. Just did not work for my loved one. They were very friendly.

Brookdale West has a very upbeat atmosphere, very welcoming, vibrant and not depressing. They have had some communication issues and issues with covid regarding staffing, but the staff who are they are extremely friendly. When you are able to go into the dining room the food smells amazing.

They've lost staff within the last couple of months. The executive director has apparently been having to cook meals. Their meals have gone from a menu format where the residents had choices, to now you get one thing and that's it, with no choices. They've lost their sales director and accounting person. I'm not sure what's going on, but it concerns me that numerous people have left. Also, there have been many complaints about the food, even before the recent staffing issues. The care has been pretty good though overall. When you're taking the tour, I feel like everybody is on their best behavior. But since my family has member moved in, I've noticed that the executive director doesn't really speak to the residents. If he walks by them, he kind of ignores them and doesn't say hello. And that is not what I experienced on the tour.

This was a good place for my loved one to go to. He passed away from Covid and was not there very long but he was taken care of while he was there. I do see this as a good place to take your loved one. This was a good facility and they took really good care of my loved one.

They have great activities there and our loved one is really enjoying playing bingo. The value for cost right now is efficient. Our only issues is that we wish they had more of a consistent sign in and sign out sheet. Sometimes people and come and go during the entire day and the staff will have no idea where they went or what time they left.

Be wary of price increases. Really the only issue I have is they always seem to want to bump up the price. You come in at once price, and about every other month, they have a reason why it has to go up. Otherwise the staff and the care that they're providing has been good.

We chose Brookdale Hollywood Park because we needed to find placement for my mom quickly and they had availability at the time and worked quick with us and were able to see us on a Sunday. We really liked the sales lady we worked with and we felt comfortable with them right away. It is a smaller facility and the staff know all the residents by name. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Wilsonville because it was the cleanest and nicest facility out of the many that we looked at, especially for the value. It has a very bright and open feel to it, it does not seem institutional at all. They did recently get a new activities director so we are hoping for some more of those to start happening. The food has been a big complaint, it is inconsistent and served cold a lot. There is very much a sense of community here, they are great about integrating and welcoming new residents. I would recommend them to others looking.

We had a good tour experience with Brookdale, all of the staff were polite and professional. The facility was just too big, it is a high rise with many stories and it is in a busy area. We were just looking for something smaller with a more homey feel to it.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was nice, they were very accommodating. However we just were not as impressed with the room and not quite what we were looking for.

I am happy with my choice of Brookdale. It provides a pleasant environment, inside and out. Staff is pleasant and helpful. I know that assistance will be available when I need it. Food quality is good and served in a pleasant dining room. Housekeeping is managed well, and dependably. I can take part in arranged activities, or not, as desired. The facility is well maintained.

My mother has been at Brookdale PGI for months now. Aside from the inconveniences of coronavirus concerns, she has been comfortable here. It is a very small facility, so she gets more attention than she did at her previous ALF. The people who work here are kind and attentive. The food has been good. It is a cheerful environment. I would recommend it.

Due to the covid restrictions sometimes it is a hit or miss with the meals, sometimes the residents have to eat in their rooms. However, the staff members from our first initial meeting have been so friendly and continue to stand out to us. They made us feel very welcoming right away and made our loved one feel very comfortable.

Brookdale staff treat the residents very well. Food is very good. Printed calendars of activities is extremely helpful. Numerous options of exercise are appreciated. Decorating for holidays creates a warmth and feeling of home for residents. Having a communion weekly and podiatrist coming to Brookdale is appreciated. Offsite activities are great! and having onsite entertainment is great. Timely repair or replacement of washers would be appreciated if possible.

I enjoy living here the staff are kind. I adore my caregivers, they are so helpful.

Outstanding place for seniors to live. No stress, everything is taken care of for you. No loneliness. A host of social opportunities. A caring staff and friendly residents. Best decision of my life was to move here. I would make the same decision again in a heartbeat.
