Brookdale

My husband and I have lived in the community for about 2 years. It has been a good experience for both of us. Better than I thought it would be. New staff have been very helpful and they have many nice people. Glad to make the change, especially no more must cook.

I have enjoyed living here 4 years. The activities are varied. Food is good. Only once deep fried turkey was not good. Omelets' offered a substitute. Glad the path around the lake. is fixed as I am a walker. Looking forward to WIFI.

[Name removed] is very outgoing and friendly. She responds to my email requests and shows genuine care and concern for the residents.

Caregiver are stupendous. Food is good at times too much but they give me half servings. When I ask programs meet my needs. Front desk always sound nice on the phone.

All the people that work here a very pleasant. The food 95 good, I never miss a meal. I'm very happy here.

A striking difference at this facility is that there is no difference between the assisted living and memory care wing in terms of lighting and the appearance of the apartments. The atmosphere changes immediately with dimer lights and narrower hallways. When your loved one needs to be in a secured facility, every little detail is important. Management and team work is superb. Dealing with CoVid has tested the dedication and stamina of each employee and has reinforced the importance of community spirit and strong, steady leadership. Missing and "borrowed" items are an issue only if one has the luxury of making personal items a priority. This is a community which enjoys shopping in each others' closets and boundaries are no longer distinguished or recognized. This is not a journey one chooses. Non-judgement and acceptance will make this difficult journey a little more manageable. Selecting the right facility is the only factor we can control. I am grateful such a facility exists.

It's a great place for seniors.

The only complaint my mom has is waiting over 1 hour to get her meals. I know everyone is short staffed and its like a bus load of people coming in all at once.

My mother has been at Brookdale PGI for months now. Aside from the inconveniences of coronavirus concerns, she has been comfortable here. It is a very small facility, so she gets more attention than she did at her previous ALF. The people who work here are kind and attentive. The food has been good. It is a cheerful environment. I would recommend it.

We chose Brookdale Garden Grove because it was the cleanest and they had the best price. The food was great when we started, but it has started going downhill some. They have salad or fish everyday at lunch so I think they could provide more of a variety. Overall I am very pleased with our experience and I think it is a good facility. I would recommend to others looking.

Brookdale Biloxi is a very nice facility. All of the staff were informative and helpful during the tour. The rooms were spacious. It seemed like they had plenty of staff as well which was a concern of mine. They were top notch with their covid protocols, everyone had to be swabbed before coming in. The only downfalls were that is was a little pricier and also it did not seem like many activities were going on, a lot of people were just sitting around. But overall it was a great tour and I would recommend them.

The community is understaffed currently. The major responsibilities rely on two staff members, it seems they need more upper level management. The activities in the memory care seem to be more about sitting in a room with a tv. Since my loved ones have been here they haven't had a memory care director.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was really good, the facility inside and outside was very nice. However the rooms we saw smelled like urine and it just did not give off a good first impression

What you see is what you get. There are activities available for the residents to participate if they would like. The communication with the staff is good if I have any questions over my loved one's care.

I would recommend that you go and visit this community and speak with them to see if it is a good place for your loved one. They were more than happy to accommodate and help and answer any questions that we had for the community.

It is a safe and clean community. They are good about keeping me updated on my loved one's care. The staff have a weekly meeting about where the resident's are with their care and what needs to happen.
