Brookdale

This community was okay but when I went in I felt like the people were sitting around and I wanted somewhere more active for my loved one. I also would have to bring in furniture and I wanted something already set up. Nothing wrong just certain things that showed me that it would not work.

It would be very beneficial to senior or someone older living independently who misses interactions with their peers. This would be great fit for that aspect. They offer activities such as outings, or others coming in and performing as well as religious activities. She likes the food and said it is very good. My loved one likes that she is no longer the one cooking.

Everything with Brookdale Lafayette was fine. She had a good experience while she was here. I did not visit much, but her son went a lot and said things looked good. It seemed like she always had a lot of activities to participate in. It was a great value for the money. I would recommend to others looking.

They are understaffed but the staff that is there is great. I wouldn't strongly recommend them but they are adequate. There may be better facilities out there. The activities director left and had not gotten replaced during our time there, so the activities were limited. The kitchen seemed to go through a few chefs during our time. Some of the chefs were better than others. The staff overall were welcoming during my loved ones time there.

The staff have all been really good, friendly and respectful to our loved one. Even though our loved one does not participate in the activities anymore they do have a nice variety offered.

This is a very good community. The staff have a tough job to do but still care for the residents. My loved one is happy here. It is a good alterative to a place you may want to place your loved one. They have excursions, games, and more for the residents to choose from. The dining room has been closed off and on due to the pandemic. The residents were eating in their rooms due to the dining room being closed. Things are starting to return to normal.

Staff is helpful and friendly, sadly understaffed. Resident says they should be paid more for as much work as they have to do. Been touched with covid but thankful mom was reasonably safe. [name removed] was a good hire. Friendly, gives good 1st impression.

Everyone has been very helpful, friendly, and courteous. [name removed] needs to be encouraged to participate in activities. She likes crafts, coloring, etc. She has coloring books. She must have her new hearing aids in her ears in the morning, and removed at night. I have requested that the nurse be the only one who handles her hearing aids. Missing some clothing items, i.e. short white house coat, brand new. House keeping needs improvement. The floor needs swept. Thank you to all for caring for my mother.

I feel like this is a good community. They cut back activities due to covid and are not able to do as much.

This community was my first choice but I felt like there were too many people and too far away for everything. It was very nice but in my case and my medical problems that I have I knew it would not work due to size and convenience.

I would highly recommend it. They make them feel at home. They have a warm and caring environment. It is an incredible value for your dollar.

Our experience has been very positive so far, right now the dining service and activities are limited due to the staffing shortages but we do know they are doing their absolute best given the circumstances and they are so friendly and attentive.

Brookdale River Valley Tualatin didn’t appear to be as hands-on and efficient as another place we toured. And I didn't feel that their buildings were as clean and sanitized, which was important to me during Covid times.

This is a decent place so far for my loved one . For the most part I really like the staff and things are going well. The tour was good and they were able to give me all of the information that I needed.

I only observed the skilled nursing section. I think the staff are nice but short staffed. The staff are quite busy. They could use more hands.

The room felt like a studio compared to another community. This is a nice community with friendly staff.

This communities was okay and it was much more homey. It seemed a little disorganized but we had already fell in love with another community before we came here so it was hard.
