Brookdale

It's been a good experience at Brookdale Brea. They only issue is additional little costs can add up. For instance, you can have meal delivery at no charge nine times total, and then they charge $12, which I think is a little high. And it's hard for the elderly to absorb those costs. The staff have been pretty good. Maintenance is super helpful. We haven't had any problems with anybody there. It's a clean facility, and it seems like they have good activities.

My dad is in a wheelchair and we liked how spacious and open Brookdale was. He likes to tool around and go on adventures and it had plenty of space for him to do that. The room size is perfect for what he needs. I have not eaten the food but my dad seems to love it. We have had a very good experience so far, he likes it and is fitting in well. The other residents are super nice and welcoming. I would recommend to others looking.

This community was great. The cost was more than we wanted to spend.

I would recommend Brookdale Grand Court Lubbock to others for their loved ones. I'm impressed by the staff, and the community is nice. The community is well organized and managed well. They are very accommodating for my loved one. Some of the activities include arts and crafts, movies, social events, games, field trips, and more for the residents to choose from. They do a very good job with seasonal celebrations. There is transportation for the residents. The price per month includes a meal plan. There are also kitchens in the apartment depending on the size. There are also church services available. The community is responsive to changes in the residents. The staff is very helpful if a resident has questions or concerns.

Their strength really was with their staff, they were so helpful and really went out of their way to get our family and loved one adjusted. Everything was overall good we had no specific problems with anything.

it's not perfect. I'm not perfect so I fit right in. the people and workers are nice. I am 95.

We had a good virtual tour at Brookdale Westerville. They took us around the facility and showed us not only an available room, but what the exterior of the building for that room would look like, patio and all. They introduced us to some staff that was available. It seemed to be a little smaller of a facility, and we were just looking for more residents for our loved one to be able to interact with.

Brookdale Sparks was a nice facility, but the location was just too far from our family, dad wanted to stay close to where he previously lived.

We had a very nice tour at Brookdale Germantown, but it was very expensive. And they also had a one-time initial fee to move in that was extremely expensive.

I think it is a great place. My only issues is mainly my loved ones medication changes. I would recommend them. Overall both my loved one and I am happy.

I would tell others this is a nice and caring community with caring and professional staff. The staff are involved with the residents and consider their needs. They are careful in the way they speak to the residents as well. They have been able to assist with medication distribution and bathing for my loved one. Bingo, puzzles, entertainment, movies, cognitive classes, field trips, celebrations, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from. The food is wonderful and they have good staff in the kitchen.

This is a good location for us. My loved one liked the communities that offered everything all on one floor.

my mom is currently at Brookdale Loma Linda, and she really likes it there. the only complaints she has is that it is an older building so sometimes they take a bit longer than anticipated to fulfill maintenance requests. the building itself also needs some upkeep, but we're understanding of the fact that there isn't much they can do about that. she's also made some comments about the food; while it's not horrible, it does lack flavor at times. I did remind her that not every resident can have salt or foods high in sodium, so we're understanding of that as well. on the other hand, there's a piano in the lobby and she gets to play it everyday. my mom is still very independent and does not have a need for a high level of care. she went to Brookdale for the socialization and she is definitely receiving that. she's very involved with the activities and with the other residents. overall, she's happy and the amount of community interaction is a positive.

Our family had an in person tour and this was our second choice but the residents seemed to be more far along with their memory loss and we still wanted a stimulating environment for our loved one

I think that Brookdale Scotts Valley has a different feel and vibe to it just based on how it was built and where it is located amongst the trees. It feels more like an apartment complex versus and assisted living home.

Brookdale Ormond Beach is a very nice facility. They gave a great tour and we had a positive experience, it just did not give us that "feeling" that we were looking to have when we walked in.

The experience has not been too bad. The facility itself is very homey feeling. The people are very nice and the staff have all been super helpful. The girl who works the front desk is phenomenal. The caretaker that I have for a few hours a day has also been amazing and is so polite. They really do try their hardest to help and make you happy. The food leaves a lot to be desired. The breakfast is good but the dinners are not. The quality of the food is not good, a lot of the meats you are not able to cut and the fish does not have much taste at all. That is definitely what they could use the most improvement on. I would recommend Brookdale with the caveat about the food.

We really enjoyed the fact that they offered activities for the residents, but the improvements could be more on the medical attention side of things. They do have an LPN on site to oversee everything going on, but the care services overall could be improved and having more of a sense of urgency to address things immediately.

Brookdale Biloxi community is very competitive, the staff have been very friendly and all the care services that are provided have been really good. We have had no problems so far with the meals and dining service.

I would recommend Brookdale Manlius to others for their loved ones. They care about the residents and want to provide good care. The staff want to make sure the residents receive the best experience possible. The communication with the staff could be improved with the family. The return phone calls, and any changes in care for our loved one specifically is something we would like to see changed with the staff. My loved one doesn't always care for the food.
