Brookdale

I looked at 3 places and called maybe 2 others that didn't call back. Out if the 3 I visited I liked the size of Brookdale (not too big not too small) and also the room configuration. I think maybe I thought the food was better there also.

Life has been free of many hassles. No raking leaves, no shoveling snow, etc. Meals have improved greatly in the last months. I also feel very safe. I feel Content. I like to go to a movie, work out area, have a library,and get coffee on the second floor.

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Biloxi and overall her experience at this facility was very good. The housekeeping was good, although the trash bags had to be provided by the resident. Communication with the family was excellent. I was notified when things were happening. The staff was friendly and professional; they greeted me when entering and every time I saw them. The move in process was easy. My loved one had a choice of her own bed or a hospice bed and needed items were identified. I would recommend Brookdale Biloxi to others, mostly because of the staff.

I would definitely recommend Brookdale Rose Valley Scappoose, as long as they can respond to maintenance problems in a timely manner. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. The residents there are very friendly, but a lot of them have the same complaints about not getting work done. It's a beautiful facility and gardens, a place I would love to live one day. It's close to anything you could need and their activities keep them as busy as they want to be. My mom was in Independent Living, but I had to stay with her for a while, and I saw lots of examples of creative and caring techniques for their Assisted Living residents. The food was good, but not consistent everyday. That is probably due to kitchen staff turnover. Compared to most in the area, this facility cost is a good value.

All of the people here are very friendly. There are also many activities to do onsite from bingo to wii bowling to bridge and poker. They also have a lovely store which I just love to go visit often. I like to do bingo and wii bowling every week.

From the time I arrived I've received friendly comments. not all expectations have achieved, but staff has tried to work around budget issue and staff shortages. Overall it has been a positive experience.

I came to Brookdale with memory issues and everyone has been so helpfull, polite, and caring. I feel very thankful to be here and staff has been so supportive and positive. I am so satisfied with care and all aspects of Brookdale Arvada. The stability of the staff has really helped me improve! I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

For the most part, Brookdale offers a pleasant, caring community with many amenities. It's clean, the food is good, the majority of the staff are pleasant and helpful. They have counselors to help residents navigate the multitude of emotions residents often face while adjusting to their new environment. There are doctors available round the clock. The staff is approachable and compassionate. We feel good about Brookdale and the care they afford our parents.

I found that there are some hidden costs that are not made evident up front. The pricing for extras is like a big secret, and I had to go to the top to find out what the add-ons are. So far, my loved one is doing well. However, I have to keep on top of extra costs such as having meals sent to her room when she is not feeling well.

We are very happy our parents are there.Well the cost was less than 2 of the places we toured and about the same as another, however it was the staff that was so welcoming, as well as the other residents. My mom grew up in Durham as well. It was the place my Dad liked the best( mom was in rehab for the tours, however she did tour Brookdale before deciding.)

We love the staff, they're very friendly. The nice residents have also helped her to adapt. The food is not that great. Hate to say that, but for what people pay in any of these facilities, dining should be something they can look forward to.

I was here for 6 months and I always felt safe and cared for by the staff. I would recommend Brookdale Skeet Club. I made many friends here while I was staying here.

All staff at Brookdale Asheville Overlook work as a team. The staff are very helpful to residents and encourage safe independence. Staff speak to residents and remember their likes and dislikes. They communicate to each other between shifts. Housekeeping is done daily. Deep clean is once a week. When required, emergency housekeeping is done promptly by any available team member. Laundry is done separately for individual residents. From the moment I called and expressed my decision for Mom to move into Brookdale, [name removed], in sales, welcomed me for another visit. He showed me the available room and told me when furniture and items could be moved in. [Name removed] also went that very early afternoon to meet Mom and to do an evaluation. [Name removed], RN, completed her evaluation in the late Friday afternoon visit. I was notified by [name removed] that Mom would be welcome in the Brookdale Asheville Overlook community. Mom has been there for about a month now. She has been receiving attentive care, both OT and PT, assistance with bathing, and involvement in activities. She is strongly encouraged to come to the dining room for meals. The meals have been good quality and are served individually with her preferences met. Med techs are attentive when giving meds and remain close to encourage drinking and swallowing. Activities are provided daily. Social, emotional, physical and cognitive activities are available each week. Spiritual gatherings are offered. Mom has been cared for with a professional, compassionate approach. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Asheville Overlook and the current team to others.

The staff is kind and helpful but the facility could use updating and I wish they had better staff for the nurses.I wish they had more nurses on staff at a time.I liked that it had skilled nursing next door and it felt homey.

*Dad has been at Eden Estates for about 4 years. *His recent move and it went well. He needed to move downstairs and likes his new apt. * Enhabit is good about seeing that the serves he needs are met. *Food and meals: there are many times he doesn't like the food they are serving. He doesn't like many sauces. He prefers sauces on the side. *The extended care girls who help with showering and dressing are great ladies. He speaks of them well and enjoys their company.

Mom was looking for her own place and wasn't ready to move in with family. She loved the Brookdale in Sparks, NV and was thrilled Brookdale Eden Estates had an opening. From the lobby through the entire complex it felt right for her. Many residents had mobility devices like hers and the staff goes out of their way to make both the residents & the family feel welcome. Food is great and the events are top notch. Her room is designed for easy wheelchair access from the kitchen, closet, bedroom & bath. The place is well-maintained & she's already made new friends. Thank you for providing a few more years of independence!

When life took a turn towards less independence for my Aunt, we had to look for the next level of care available for her. Having been single all of her life and no children to assist with this task, we started looking on where she thought she would be happiest. On a recommendation from a resident at Brookdale Avondale, based on this residents services she received, we only had to look at one facility before she had found her place. No more worries about her getting 3 meals a day, light housekeeping to include personal laundry services, transportation to various locations nearby, helped seal this bid. There is always an adjustment during the “get to know everyone” process and individual needs for each resident. We feel it had gotten close. She is more at peace snd she always responds “I need to be here and I enjoy it” when asked. Thanks to the staff at Brookdale Avondale for welcoming her and making this life adventure a much smoother transition.

It's a nice facility. The people have been very friendly so far and I would recommend it. We picked this community because of the price and proximity and people there.

My mother has been at Brookdale for a year and a half now. It was the best move she could have made. The staff is wonderful, the residents are wonderful. My mom went from sitting alone in her apartment during her retirement, to having a full calendar of activities and she has made many friends. I love calling her and hearing that she is too busy with her new social life to talk. She plays card games, bean bag baseball, bingo and goes on shopping trips with the other residents. The staff are all super friendly and patient and caring with the residents. She recently transitioned a few months ago to assisted living for medication management and that has been the only area that has given me concerns since she has been at Brookdale. There have been a number of hiccups with refiling her medications timely and communication. Otherwise, I can't recommend this place enough.
