Brookdale

I liked the way the staff interacted with the residents. Also that if she goes on Medicaid she can stay in her same apartment. Also, it doesn't smell like a bottle of disinfect. I would tell friends that it is a place that they should check out and make their own decisions.

Overall I had a good experience with Brookdale. Because it is a somewhat smaller community, it seems to be closer and more friendly. It was because of this friendly environment and the best value compared to other communities that I chose Brookdale.

It's a great place. We picked because of the closeness. I would recommend to others. Staff can be cantankerous.

I'd tell them it was really nice and that their family member would be well taken care of. We picked this community because of the location and price.

My mom's move-in was a little rough. He room had a major leak in it so they moved her into a temporary unit until they could fix it. That took about 3 weeks or so. Everything is clean, but she said there was a slight smell that she's not used to. Not sure what it was but she hasn't complained about it since she first mentioned it. She likes the staff and says everyone is so nice. My mom was struggling with medication dosing before she moved in. Since Brookdale has taken over administering her medication, she is doing so much better. She is enjoying her meals. She is enjoying playing Dominoes and I'm sure other games as well. Great value for the cost. Plus her room has been renovated so that's nice as well

The staff that I've talked to seem friendly and willing to assist with things. We had issues getting my grandfather's laundry done for about the first month that he was there, but they remedied that issue. My grandfather does like the food there even sometimes when we take him out to lunch or dinner he make sure to get himself a to go plate for later if it's something he likes. The move-in process was easy enough, [name removed] was very helpful. I would recommend Brookdale New Port Rickey to others.

Lovely welcome. Helpful. Clean environment. When calling a tech for tv problems, he came right away and fixed. Food. Very poor. I had to watch my sister-in-law try a bite of food that was made for her. It was too stiff and two dents, and she started screaming and crying because she was scared and it stuck, she cannot eat it. It's stuck to the roofer her mouth and she does not have a tongue to help her with that, she was hysterical. No help for a few minutes. Eventually, the food was taken away and never brought back with any alternative. Luckily, she had something in the refrigerator that she could eat as she was really really hungry. Apparently after I left, they brought the same thing back to her for dinner. This is unacceptable. Please look at her orders. Please puree her food. If it can mold into a form, it's too dense and too hard. You must get this right. The aid left with the food said she should be back to, and talked to the kitchen. We never heard another word she never came back. Unacceptable

The staff at Brookdale Shawnee are wonderful. The move in process was very good, they were very accommodating. The meals seem to be okay. I think that the individual rooms need to be cleaned more than once a week. Overall, it's a very nice facility. The staff are just so very nice and caring for the residents there, which means the world to us. I would recommend Brookdale Shawnee to others.

The staff at Brookdale Evesham are all very friendly and supportive. But there's not enough staff and you can see the stresses because of the under staffing. We are a family that was all over the move in, and communication etc. We are still very engaged. All went fine. I would suggest family be engaged, no matter what facility they choose. The meals are mixed, but for the most part are enjoyed. Suggestion....reconcile the services requested/paid for to services actually delivered and to the resident's expectation. Have a way to present this and create alignment. There are clear gaps and it seems that it is up to family to address them. Each persons needs are different so hard to say I'd recommend to anyone, but overall I would recommend.

For the meals and dining service and activities we cannot evaluate those. Our family really likes the "Home" like appearance, personal - deeply personal care from nurse (director) [name removed] , respectful compassion from [name removed] , openness & daylight bright of facility.

Brookdale South Windsor has a very caring staff team. They have nice apartments for the residents and a good feel to their memory care. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

Brookdale is a fine institution for my mother to be in. She is so loved here and well taken care of. I love the staff here. Maybe her room could be cleaned up a little more often. Thank you everyone! Bless you all!

I love living at Brookdale. I feel that everyone here is my family. I wouldn't want to live any place else. There isn't anything the staff wouldn't do for us.
