Brookdale

I love that she is safe and happy. She has friends and is involved. I wish it were cleaner. I am not sure how it could be, with a population who is so needy. But that is my only complaint.

There used to be more activity, but a lot have been canceled. Rent went up over [removed]$ a month and the food has gotten worse and the activity limited. I think the staff is excellent, and hey are trying to hire new people to fill the shortage and the new people they hired are really good.

Staff seems friendly and caring. No issues so far. I talked to several people there - from management to staff - and just came away with the confidence that my Mom would be in good hands. After visiting my Mon a few times, I still have a good feeling about the community.

Staff are friendly, tentative and compassionate. Unfortunately, turnover seems high. They could improve by providing increased variety of activities and better communication of what is available/planned.

When you communicate with them directly, they're very helpful and supportive.

Really feel like majority of staff treat residents with utmost respect, dignity and make them truly feel like it their home! Facility size is great for my loved one, not too overwhelming...keep outdoors nice and easily accessible to enjoy the fresh air. Rooms are good for my Mom...not too much to handle, small sink, fridge & cupboards, bathroom good, shower could be slightly larger but bench already in place and they do have larger shower if needed.

Overall things have gone pretty well. The help is good and people friendly. Not crazy about food but that maybe a Notherner eating Southern cooking. Think they are making an attempt to satisfy your taste. When I said people are friendly I meant especially the help although the residents are too.

We liked the pricing we like the fact that it was a smaller thought it would be more personal not as easy for them to get lost. The staff was sweet and seemed very caring. It smelt clean and didn't have a old people smell or pee smell that was a real big plus. My one disappointment, was house cleaning in their rooms.

My mother was very satisfied there. Understaffed, especially at evening hours ( as it appears most facilities are). Very friendly and caring staff Apparently had trouble retaining and or hiring cooks. When a cook would leave meals would go to carry in from local places We were certainly not unhappy with the care my mother received at Brookdale. Probably any issues I would have had with the facility would be more of a knock on the industry as a whole.

Food not great but adequate. Staff is good overall.

The staff is friendly, sometimes difficult to reach by phone. Response time to a call button is sometimes long. The food is okay. The housekeeping seems to be okay. Communication is pretty good. Overall, we would recommend Brookdale.

The staff are really friendly and caring. They treat the residents like family. They cater to individualized needs.

Staff and residents are SO FRIENDLY. They are all like one big family. Residents watch out for each other and are very supportive. Weekly housekeeping is great. Move in was easy as my mom's apartment is right next to the Exit. Communication is good. The food could be better. Definitely not terrible, but there's room for improvement. They have a good variety though. Kitchen and dining staff are very attentive. Lots of activities. My mom says she falls into bed, exhausted, each night. I would DEFINITELY recommend Brookdale Franklin.

My mom is a resident at Brookdale Niskayuna and overall things have been good. My lower ratings are due to some issues with new or no staff. My mom has not participated in the activities yet, so I cannot fairly rate those.

Brookdale does an excellent job at engaging residents and grouping them ability wise. They have kept my loved one very engaged and doing as much as he can. Open communication with the staff has been key to our positive experience

The staff has been wonderful and accommodating to my Mom's needs. Very compassionate and attentive. Activities have been entertaining and varied. The updates to the exterior grounds are very welcoming and enjoyable.

The staff at Brookdale Kettering were very friendly and helpful with my loved one getting settled in. I would recommend this facility for independent living.

We picked this specific place after looking at many others because we found it to be a vibrant, friendly community. I would recommend to others.

Basically the facility was very good but overall expensive. The main problem is their Dallas billing group creates unknown charges - with obvious late fees-does not accept any calls but says to 'work with your local community for any issues.

My 81yo father was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer in early December. We needed to find a place that would allow him to be close to family but also offer the care he needed as the disease progressed. Brookdale and Amedisys hospice services worked well together to assure that dad’s level of comfort was maintained as best possible. The facility is clean, pleasant, and the residents seem to enjoy it. I only wish my father could have been able to meet some of them. Although his time there was relatively short, I felt at peace knowing he was in a safe place. On [date removed], we had to move him to a hospice house because the level of constant care had required it. He passed away peacefully in the early hours of [date removed]. My deepest appreciation to the staff of Brookdale High Point North. And also to Amedisys hospice. They were caring, tolerant, and dedicated to not only my father, but to my sister and I as we navigated this difficult road.
