Brookdale

Great food! And lots of it! The employees that work with my mom are wonderful! Activities are ok, could be more exciting and varied. Excerise program is very lacking. They should take lessons from the community center with a weekly yoga class or deep breathing/meditation or chair aerobics, etc. Extra assistance fees are a little high for the lack of follow through.

Overall it was an easy process including being very accommodating with moving. However, there are some issues with coverage by aides during the morning & weekend shifts. Wait times have been longer than what is expected. There are a ton of activities if a person wants to participate.

I would recommend the facility. The staff are great, very attentive and patient. The one thing I have had issues with is the billing and invoicing. Not detailed and varies sometimes without explanation to where I have to call on my mom's behalf. Nothing unethical, just needs some tidying up.

Carpeted floors in room make them difficult to clean. Rooms probably need a bit of updating. Staff is very friendly. Overall I would recommend Brookdale Cary to others looking for memory care.

I get calls from the nursing staff very frequently. My loved one likes the food-loves the ice cream! Housekeeping appears to be good. When I visit, which is frequently, his room and bathroom are clean and garbage is removed frequently. I would recommend the facility to others.

What our family likes the most about the Brookdale Valencia community is the friendliness of the staff. Also the orientation with assisting the elderly but also allowing independence. The staff do recognize the residents as well.

The main reason we chose Brookdale West Boynton Beach was because of the overall look of the facility and the location. They also had availability. I feel that they do not check on my friend enough.

Had informative tours and discussed different levels of care. Staff is very caring. A little concerned about staffing during the holidays. Having issues being able to speak directly with the floor nurse to discuss medication. Love the atmosphere within the unit.

All the staff are very friendly. The food is excellent. Having said that, I have to add that we have had an issue with the stove blocking one of only 2 drawers in the kitchen which has yet to be resolved. AND the rent went up [removed]. I'm not sure this is affordable for us with that size of an increase.

Our experience at Brookdale Desert Ridge has been good overall but it was a little bumpy at firstWe picked this facility because of location (safe neighborhood) price, and the fact that Brookdale has a large company that can be appealed to if there are problems with the local facility. The other residents are generally friendly and the facility has good activities.

It's very clean. The food is really good have eaten here a couple of times. Mom seems to be on her own a lot and with her mobility issues and hearing loss she feels a little isolated. She is also away from most activities. She's not a big social person. She says everyone is nice to her. There are a couple that I see often on 1 and second shift that are outstanding in their care and taking time with her and making her smile. I didn't meet her Dr. for a while and was kind of at a loss as to what was going on with her. She has had some physical therapy. But at 100 and what is wrong there isn't much they can do. I just felt uninformed for a while but am feeling better about things now.

So far, so good. They seem to care about their residents. It seemed to be the best fit for my Mom's needs. Location also played a role for us.

Communication was a little compartmentalized. Get to know each relevant person because overall communication between departments isn't great. The move in process was easy. My mom checked in directly after her flight. The staff is fabulous. The same nurses are there week to week. I haven't tried the food, but I would highly recommend this facility to others.

Based on the experience our family has had so far with Brookdale Everett, the residents living there seem to be mostly very happy, however the staff members working there seem to be overwhelmed. However they do still seem to maintain a good overall attitude.

The staff have been communicative and pleasant, but I found them quick to increase price when mom needed temporary assistance due to weakness during COVID infection that she got here. Being a nurse, I insisted on OT and PT to get her strength back and declined a suggested Foley catheter for her incontinence knowing that would put her at risk for infection and limit her mobility. She recovered and I pushed for reassessment to get her fees back down. I am not sure those without family in healthcare would do in this case. That said, I would still recommend the place.

My mother is currently a resident at Brookdale Niskayuna and everything has been very good for her at this facility. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

Residents and staff become part of a "family" who celebrate when we celebrate and mourn when we mourn.

The residents and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Good experience so far. Staff is easy to work with. I feel safe against falls. Feeling safe is a major benefit. Food is above average.

Staff members are generally positive and supportive. They are willing to help in any situation.
