Brookdale

Would rate all at 4, for my Mother and her condition. Facility and her room were clean, staff very helpful and caring to her, food and service for her is good. Activities were enjoyable for her...when she went.

Everyone was genuinely caring and professional. The nurse was very helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. My only concern was the billing so much added as incidentals. My Father left without notifying in advance and he paid for that. Brookdale was amazing but he was a butthead.

They keep it clean. The "care" needs to be better. It's not terrible but does need to be spruced up a little bit. Perhaps you need to hire a couple more aids or even a nurse per shift.

The people were really nice. Seemed to really care. The courtyard is really pretty, and my mom's room had a great view. The small rooms were the big issue. Obviously, something they can't change. One thing I shared with them that they could change was acknowledging people when they come into the dining room. I know there was one other small thing, but I can't remember what it was.

Aftercare billing was not discussed. Nice spacious rooms and dining facility.

The staff at Brookdale Palm Coast are very friendly

We like Brookdale and recommend them. What stood out is the Caring staff, reasonable pricing, and comfortable apartments.

My father felt like they were understaffed and didn't have a variety for dietary allergies. But it was clean and very friendly and helpful. They always responded to my father. It's just there was a lot of turnover.

Staff are very friendly to family but a number of aides Were downright nasty to resident. Took quite a long time for them to respond to call bell for help. Food was always cold, even in the dining room and quite monotonous. Cleaning of apartment was very poor.

Let me start by telling our previous experience with Brookdale. My wife's parents were at Brookdale about 9 years until [time frame removed]. They complained about the food, the staff not being paid enough, short staffed. ( they tend to complain a bit ). Also they only have one elevator and it broke several times during their stay. Fast forward to 2025, when we toured the facility we noticed they had stepped up their game quite a bit. At the time we didn't have a lot of choices to relocate my Mom, because there were over 100 people displaced from the Terraces in Pasadena, all looking for a place to relocate locally. This was not the best place logistically but the best we could find at the time. So far the staff is very efficient, they have new cooks, and menus, the care givers are very friendly and attentive. My mom is very happy with the food, and enjoys the all of the special events, and classes they put on. Only negative, the elevator was out of service for 2 1/2 days last week. My ratings are for my mom's current experience.

The staff is extremely friendly. My aunt is very happy there. The facility is fine, I wasn't aware that residents had to provide their own furniture, but we worked that out. I would recommend Brookdale Skeet Club to others needing assisted living.

Right from the start, the staff was helpful, kind and accommodating. They helped us through every step of the process. Her 'apartment' in memory care is beautiful & spacious and, we've brought in her favorite belongings to make her feel right at home. She enjoys the activities whether she participates or watches others create. Brookdale has a wonderful crew and she feels safe and comfortable.

Very friendly and lots of places to go to get fresh air and have buses to take you shopping. They need better communication between the selling manager and when someone needs special assistance. They told us one price and then they made it seem like the things that the person would need assistance with that all of It would also be included with the price. Little did we know that they did an assessment of my friend but failed to tell me , who was the power of attorney and signed the papers that there would be extra charges for this. So we were hit with some big fees. Our Brookdale experience. I would recommend it b/c it's one of the more affordable places. They could use some new carpeting in the place

What stood out is the friendly staff. The rooms were very small. The meals were ok.

Everyone is very friendly including the residents. It is a pleasant place to visit. Yes, we would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far.

Private rooms which is a plus. They will only take private pay so when your money runs out you are forced to leave. Food is pretty good but most all meat, fish and chicken is fried. I am only familiar with memory care unit which is a separate secure section.

The staff was very nice, food mediocre, cost extremely expensive. [name removed]is now deceased. If she was alive she would be on Medicaid. Her clothing got mixed up with other people's clothing and some things were lost permanently such as her teeth, hearing aids and eyeglasses. This may be a chronic problem in memory care so I would caution people to expect that.

Pro: Cost layered so can adjust price some; friendliness; adequate room size; on site nurses. Con: Some weekends lack staff. Find out staffing schedule. Activities posted but not always fulfilled. Friendly, very good food, security.

The management and staff are considerate, welcoming, friendly, caring, and professional. The facility has a homey feel. The facility is all one level, making it easier on the residents.

We have had a good experience with this facility . My Mother-in-law loves it at Brookdale. The activities coordinator is great and really thinks of different activities for all. Also gets them out and about for change of scenery.
