Brookdale-The staff treats the residents with dignity, patience, and compassion. They care and take the time to get to know each person as an individual.

I love the staff for the most part. They're friendly, patient, and attentive to the residents, though the ratio of staff to residents seems to be a little less at times. That allows room for errors or mishaps occasionally. The meals seem to be good and nutritious, even appetizing! Cleanliness is 4 out of 5. Activities offered are nice and offer good engagement. The activities director and her staff are great.

He seems to be happy. Comes and goes as he wants to. For him the apartment size is perfect. He thinks it is farther out of town than he would like but he drives and for right now we think it is fine.

I have eaten at the facility and the food stinks, I have a picture of a stuffed bell pepper that they were serving my loved one, and it looked terrible, and they put macaroni and cheese on it. I think they could use more variety of activities. overpriced.

The facility is absolutely wonderful. The neighborhood it is located in is terrible, but they do a wonderful job of keeping it safe and clean within the security gate. So don't be afraid of the location. There are always residents out of their rooms and in the common areas together. Some facilities we visited were empty and everyone was in their individual rooms. My mom participates in activities daily and has made several friends. She's even teaching an art class (at 90!).

You can't beat the location. It's very expensive and a little dated. The staff is kind and I haven't heard any complaints about the food. The piano is key for my aunt. It would be nice if there was a pool for some pool therapy. The parking is a drawback. Visitors have to pay for street parking which can get expensive and at times difficult to find.

Elevators are an issue but fortunately for my dad on 3rd floor there is an extra elevator. The higher floors are a challenge when one goes down. Food hit or miss but ok. Staff have all been great. Facility is clean and nice décor. I would recommend to others.

What we like the most about the community is the friendly staff but they are short handed a lot. Having a lot of turnover with staff at the moment. He's enjoying the three meals a day for sure.

Still getting settled in. I Feel very blessed here! Best thing is I have my cat with me. He's my best friend. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far. Only been here [date removed] but very impressed.

Many staff overworked because there aren't enough. When they quit, get sick, get hours reduced for pay reasons, etc, it's very hard on the ones left. Too much going to top level executives, not much consideration for who it is affecting. Very little training in kitchen workers. Not good nutrition usually for the elderly. Sorry for negative comments...our move has been good in many ways also. Love the people and social life ie talking to others!

Pro: The staff is friendly. The location is convenient for shopping and restaurants. Con: They have a lot of extra charges that other places don't do. Example: if you have more laundry then usually for the week, you will be charged around $[removed].

The people and facility are great. Still adapting to it and learning what is provided and what is not.

They were all so helpful and understanding and I would have given them 5 stars but aunt just passed away and no one from Brookdale called to offer condolences or even send a card.

The staff are very caring , attentive and friendly (mostly). My father has become more lively and sociable since he became acclimated to the facility, other patients and care he is receiving .

Staff are all pleasant and helpful. Have had some maintenance issues but I think we finally have those worked out. Getting meds as previously scheduled has been an issue. We now have Mom on hospice care, too. I know it will take time for staff to figure out her needs and we do have cameras in her room so we can call and get an aid in there if we see an issue.

We are happy with it. Great: the facility and apartments, and many staff. Good: the food OK: the Activities and the rest of the staff.

Everything was great! The night help was not so great. The room sizes are small. They liked to keep patients out of their rooms as much as possible.

Hall A has a tendency to smell like the bathroom. Administrative staff are super people. My Grandmother is not always complimentary about the quality but this time around she has had a few really good meals. Should consider serving a soft bread roll with dinner. She does not participate in activities, but I am looking forward to the 4th of July event! She had 24 hour care in home throughout May and a month at Brookdale is cheaper than a week of in home care. It's a smaller facility allowing residents to move easily throughout the property. Although it's located on a busy corner of town, so it may be loud outside at times (but it may not both residents only visitors). All staff is very nice but they could probably use a few more caregivers on staff/duty to address the random needs of their residents.

Most of the staff is very caring of your loved one, but they do have a lot of turnover.

I am responsible for my 96 year old former neighbor who is now 96. He entered assisted living at Brookdale Chanate three years ago. In the past year, he moved to the Memory Care unit there. The staff at Brookdale has been attentive, kind and helpful. They all know the residents by name and understand their habits and needs. The dining room in the main building is lovely and food is good. The facility is clean and never smells bad. The staff in the memory care unit works hard to engage the residents. They handle medical emergencies well. There has been a lot of turnover at the executive level but there is now a new ED in place. I would recommend.
