Brookdale

I like the people working in the memory care unit. They really seem to care about the residents.

I believe you can always make improvement. Mom was very active and independent until she lost her vision. She has been able to become involved in many activities at Brookdale. For example exercise classes, guest entertainers or presentations, religious services, and has become a member of their Resident Committee. She is happier and more like the strong, community activist, independent woman I grew up with. I am very grateful we found Brookdale. Her room is bright, cheerful, and clean. She has ample room for her belongings. She can regulate the temperature of her own room. They have a good variety of meals served restaurant style and are able to meet special dietary needs. I would recommend Brookdale Bloomsburg to anyone considering "a Place for Mom"

I found the staff and residents of Brookdale Grand Court very friendly and willing to answer all my questions. This facility is not as fancy or new as some other facilities here in my town, but the rate schedule is much more affordable. I would definitely be looking at living at Brookdale Grand Court if I were ready to make a move.

I am very happy living at Brookdale Park Place. The local management is responsive, maintenance is handled quickly, and the other residents are interesting and interested individuals, for the most part. There is, of course, always room for some improvement. While there are some stellar meals here, there are also a number that suffer from too frequent repetition. This may be due to economic necessity. The monthly price has also gone up dramatically in the last two years especially. While the economy obviously is to blame for part of this, I believe the corporate structure of Brookdale may be using residents to supplement shortfalls due to poor upper level management. Local management is great; corporate management not so much.

The care staff were excellent. I felt the facility was clean and the food good. My mom did not participate in any activities but I could tell there were activities regularly scheduled for residents.

My mom lives there. All management and staff are very nice. There are different apartment sizes and accommodations which fit a wide variety of needs. It's an older building but they keep it clean and are slowly updating what they can. The biggest issue is with the food. A lot of the residents complain that it is not good, sometimes inedible. They often don't cook what is put in the menu, and that they run out of things early a lot. The wait staff is very nice and tries to accommodate what they can, but the cook is just not good.

The staff is wonderful, everyone is so kind and caring! I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place.

Very clean facility. Happy residents. Caregivers are very professional and eager to help. An abundance of activities for residents. Nice outdoor spaces. Sales staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, especially [name removed].

[name removed] was great. The place was a little chaotic. Might have just been timing. Dining room was pretty bare bones. Property backyard/courtyard was in fair shape. Needed some TLC.

It took them a long time to get the room ready. But they made it right. Everything else is as expected. Good food. Clean room.

There are many wonderful people who care for your loved one with compassion and kindness.

Looks like a wonderful place. Just wasn’t prepared for Mom’s accident to remove her from her home permanently…my sister/ niece had been planning 2 months prior to her fall for no reason other than they don’t have any time to visit her home… help or step in…leaving my Mom and I out of any/all conversations. I have repeatedly reached out to both parties for assistance and guidance for getting repairs done since Hurricane ?? Florence Thank you, my fight continues to bring my Mother home. Gale

A few things needed to be finished, some mix-ups with food delivery to my apt. Had a bad car crash day I moved. Overall I think I'm in a good place and I'm glad to be here.

Staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. Apartment was lovely with generous storage.

Be sure to ask if there are fees added to the room rate. There was a fee that we were told that is automatically added upon registration. If that fee is added to every resident, as we were told, it should just be added to the advertised room rate.

Very organized and responsive to client needs. Good to have an advocate for client.

This place is great they take spectacular care of us. [name removed] is the best she really cares about us residents. I enjoy activities too we have a great time and he keeps us laughing. Lunch is always yummy and when we go out to eat we have a good time talking and laughing.

Everyone there has been so kind and seems so happy to be working there. The room size is just right for a older person. My mom loves that there are so many different places or rooms to be, she doesn't get bored just with the same old view. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Mentor to others looking for care for a loved one.

The room I was shown was very nice. Well planned out with everything you would want. [name removed], my tour guide was very informative and answered all my questions. The only drawback was the location. Hard to find.

Staff is very nice, need more activities clients enjoy. Bingo is 2 days a week could be 4 . Room size is very nice. Would be helpful to receive tv guide and pamphlet explaining what you will be charged for. Where to put trash buy your own laundry soap ect. You seem to get info a peace at a time. Response can be lengthy at times but understand.
