Brookdale

The staff is very caring and respectful. The activities are wonderful and varied. My mom has mostly positive things to say about the food and the apartment size options should appeal to everyone.

It must be good she signed alease and is moving in soon. The apartment has a nice layout. [name removed] gave a nice tour

Room amazing perfect size. Staff seems top notch friendly and responsive and reliable enough for me. Some maintenance nuisance items need to be addressed. Stained carpets in halls some minor eye sores mostly. Food is good and reliable and makes the total cost very reasonable. I'd like to move in there. Overall when she's there she's good. Activities to do and community to interact with is amazing for my mother in law. Without Brookdale she'd just be alone every day. She has opportunities to go meet friends and always had good times when she does attend events. Residents are all super friendly.

I am looking for an assisted living facility for a relative. Brookdale seems like a very nice place. It is a smaller facility with a lot of nice amenities. The people were friendly. The residents seem happy.

Studio apartment size is an adequate space for visitors and belongings. Weekly housekeeping is ok but could be more thorough. Staff has been friendly and helpful. Activities daily help pass the time and are engaging. Sometimes the staff encourage residents to participate in new things. This is really appreciated. The outside space is relaxing with birds and other wildlife to watch. Food is good. The dining room floor looks clean but is always sticky.

Overall, satisfied with staff, care and food. Facility itself is a little run down and could use some updating.

We are extremely happy and satisfied with Brookdale and glad we chose this facility. The med tech staff is amazing. They are patient with our ornery father as he adjusted to his new home He is now getting/taking his medicine on time as prescribed and his health and activity improvement show ls it Amazing how much his physical and mental health have improved in his first 6 weeks in the Brookdale community Plenty of activities all the time.

The staff is very good. They are taking good care of Sandy in skilled nursing. I don't do activities. The food is so so. I eat out a lot. Room size is ok. It's hard to adjust from a 1800 square foot house to a 900 square foot apartment.

Brookdale is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and attentive, the food is ok, the price is expensive but better than [facility name removed].

Seems like a wonderful place for those that can afford it. It is clean and bright, well decorated, roomy. There seems to be a wide variety of activities and open for suggestion.

The residence is beautiful and well planned. The tour included many activity rooms and a pool but they are for Independent or Assisted Living. We were only interested in Memory Care. They also have alacarte care. We couldn't get a copy so it was hard to figure if it met our budget needs.

Unfortunately, our stay at Brookdale did not work out for us but I will forever be grateful to the ladies at Brookdale for seeing how badly I needed that time. Everyone at Brookdale was very nice and helpful.

Everything was good except the value for the money they were out of line down there. The difference between the two facilities are night and day. They both have highs and lows for my mom. Yes, I'd recommend it to others. It's a safe place.

It is difficult to provide many details since I am in Michigan and don't observe day to day operations. My brother sees her regularly and we do talk about how the facility is working out for our Mother. Mom is just not happy and I think it doesn't have much to do with the facility. I do think they could work a little more on encouraging her to get involved with the activities and other residents but she has a mind of her own.

Brookdale was wonderful. Mom felt so safe and the staff genuinely cared for her. The staff knew mom and were very supportive of her! The activities in both facilities were engaging and fun. The facilities were both well maintained and charming. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for a special place for their family member.

All the staff is friendly, and willing to adjust to mom's needs. [Name Removed] the nurse, works very hard despite her workload. Mom is extremely introverted and doesn't participate in activities, but I observe constant activities and the residents genuinely enjoy them. The residents seem very happy and friendly. The food adjustment were a bit challenging but the chef and his staff have gladly made it happen. Room cleanliness is acceptable, but could be better. Mom is in a studio by choice and the room size and layout are great.

The food is average. The staff and care are great. They just redid the laundry and cleaning schedule so it's working great now. The room size is adequate 351 sq ft. Move in was a little chaotic.

Hi. Overall the facility is good, the staff is friendly and helpful and seem to know and interact with the residents. The administrative staff is also friendly and responsive The concerns I have may be due to my unfamiliarity with assisted living facilities 1. There is no meal provision or menu selections for individuals with diabetes I moved him there in hopes that that would be provided. Probably too high an expectation on my part due to the size of the facility and the fact he can make his own food selections but I know he isn't the only one there with diabetes 2. When discussing the requirements of the residence contract, I was told they used Salibas Extended Care Pharmacy and if I didn't want to use that pharmacy, it would be an additional monthly charge of [Amount Removed](It has since gone up) That is not a preferred pharmacy on his Medicare plan so we are paying more in copays, ozempic, and jardiance than we might otherwise be paying Also the facility asks me to be an intermediary when there is some issue with medication. I don't think I should be 3. I have considered looking into other facilities where he might not need to move when his money runs out.

They have done really well for us. [name removed] has currently gone on hospice and the care team at Brookdale have been great helping with her hospice service.
