Brookdale

They were very responsive and helpful in finding my grandparents a room. They do a great job meeting their diverse needs. All of the staff is very friendly to them. Overall a great experience. My grandparents don't love the food but they do eat it. They have enjoyed a few of the activities. The only downfall is the long walk to their apartment from the elevator and lack of outdoor area/activities. They spend most of their day inside.

My cousin constantly complains about the food service. She says by the time food is brought to the table, it is always cold and not fit to eat. Also, the food staff is often rude to the residents. Her other main complaint is about laundry facilities. There are only 2 washers and dryers available for each floor. She often has to wait until late at night to have access to a washer. And often one of them is out of order.

The staff are always cheerful and helpful. I would recommend to others.

Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens is a nice place to live. It's always so busy with other residents in the lobby and lounge, doing some type of activity. The residents and staff are always very happy and full of life :) The food is also good.

I would rate them very good. Everybody is very kind there, although they are short on Help, which I think most facilities are.

It was very nice, but my bar was set low. I was coming from The Residence, which looks like an institution compared to breakdown. It looks like a home.

The staff was great. The care was good. She seemed to enjoy the food. She doesn't care for activities at all. Cleanliness was was great. The room size was just perfect. She loved her room. Went to sleep in there on Friday night and just didn't wake up.

Mom loves her room. She has no complaints. There are some issues with laundry. Her name is on everything but wash clothes and some articles of clothing seem to disappear. Cleanliness, staff care, food, and activities are great. We love that there are many celebrations throughout the year that family can come and share a meal with their loved ones. Thank you for recommending Brookdale Concord for my mother.

It was a very nice tour, very nice facility however it was not what my dad needed. He needed a more secure facility.

The staff were wonderful. The facility looked very nice and the rooms were spacious. I was not happy that they locked the doors and they would have to wait to be let out and in The price was was high.

Always clean. Meal choices good. Wide hallways with rails for easy navigation. Activities are varied. I would recommend to others.

It was a very positive experience getting my father in Brookdale. Staffers are friendly and caring. My father is not social and does not take advantage of the activities, although we did participate in a Labor Day BBQ celebration which was extremely good. The apartment is perfect size for my father. Food is decent, nice square meals. Very satisfied.

A majority of the staff have been there for years and it shows especially in service and care. My mom enjoys bingo and she rarely misses a meal with her table mates plus has a new best friend. The food is exceptional. Sometimes housekeeping and laundry seems to miss a beat. My mom has the larger apt. She has a full set of bedroom furniture and a table with two chairs. [name removed](front desk) is a constant source of smiles and sunshine. [name removed](sp) in nursing is very helpful and genuine with her residents. [name removed] from the salon is source of positive energy every time you see her. [name removed] from the kitchen and his staff provide tasty meals with smiles.

Food is good, really good judging by mom's satisfaction. Rooms are nice and quiet. I never hear hallway or other noise when I'm there, so there must be good soundproof walls Staff is generally very responsive. I would recommend them to others. The executive director, [name removed], makes himself available and that's a big help. Nursing staff is competent and compassionate.

Well, they changed director right after my dad moved in, and the bill increased [removed] over what they quoted. That took some explaining and the lowered it. The dropped my dad at the emergency room and just left him there, I get a call to come pick him up and bring in back. So the first few months were tough. It's since settled down. He likes the staff He says the food is ok Activities are good Don't count on the transportation Would recommend the community to others

Overall it is a good place but they do seem to nickel and dime you for extra services which is ridiculous. It took them a while to get things right with my dad and filling us in on things like doctor transportation, etc. took a while too. His room is fine but the hvac system is kind of loud.

Great communication with the staff. There could be one or two more rotating food options. They have three consistent options each meal but only one rotating option. Only two apartment size options 410 and 510 sq ft and not as many 510 apartments.

The cleanliness of the facility is generally good average, however, the facility does show some age. Rugs are dirty. Interior walls and trim show some hard use. Must have had a former life as a nursing home. Compared to some or most of the other newer facilities I have toured, the building has been used hard. Needs a freshening up. Some exterior trim showing rot. Staff very friendly. The staff is the positive point of the facility. Always willing to help. Very professional and knowledgeable. Quality of care is high. Nursing staff makes it work well. Administrative staff competent but appear overworked. Good enough for the type of facility. I would not expect more. Portions just about right. Seems standard. This is my first experience with the business end of a ALF. My sister requires 24/7 care for her type 1 diabetes, Parkinson's, and dimentia conditions so I guess it shouldn't surprise me the bills are in the $[removed] range. She needs nursing care so it is Essenially a ALF with skilled nursing capabilities. Of course the price is a little shocking but I bet in the end it is what it is for the level of service she is provided. I wish the facility was a little newer and better looking then I might not be so shocked.

The staff have been very helpful and courteous , the apartment has a bedroom, living room, kitchen area and bathroom . I would say the cleanliness is above average and there are plenty of activities. The residents are served three meals a day , with optional snacks available . My sister has been allowed to bring two cats to stay with her which helped with the transition to assisted living.

The staff at Auburn Brookdale are fabulous. We felt really taken care of. They went the extra mile to help get us situated when we moved him in, and then treated us with such kindness when he was in hospice there for his last days.
