Brookdale

I loved the place for my dad. It had everything he needed and would want He would still have his freedom. Unfortunately my dad is a vet and they were not able through the military program to help assist him in the cost. This a great place

We have put a deposit down and my father should be moving in there in about a week. We have already moved his furniture into the apartment. We are hoping this is the perfect place for him.

My father was a resident for about 2 months. The initial care was amazing. The small facility lets the ratio of caregivers to residences seem to fit perfectly. There was an issue with billing at the end but was quickly resolved. I would recommend this facility.

My Dad has been living at Brookdale Eddy Pond West since August 2026. He is on the memory care floor. It took a month or so but he is becoming more comfortable and accepting that this is his new home. The staff seems to eager to help him adapt to his new surroundings and tries to include him on the daily activities offered. Mom selected this facility for Dad primarily due to the location, but it offers everything we need in a long term care facility. The staff all knew his name on day 1 and are very attentive to his needs. We feel he is very safe there and well cared for. They accept private pay only so it’s possible we will need to move him to a Mass Health facility if/when we run out of money.

Have suffered from recent personnel turnover. People are responsive but don’t always stick around. There is a shortage of help sometimes. But everyone there seems well qualified. It is a nice community with lots of activities.

Mom moved about three weeks ago. She seems to be adjusting to her new environment. We are working through some issues to try to get her more involved (the reason we moved her). The staff has been very supportive.

The residence is spacious, nicely decorated, and well-thought-out, as are the apartments. Everything looked clean and smelled fresh. The Staff that we met were cheerful and pleasant; the residents seemed happy. The building has an enclosed patio with access to a nicely landscaped courtyard, where some turtles reside; apparently, the residents enjoy feeding and watching them. Overall, it appeared to be a really nice place to live.

Met at the door by our tour Guide. He did a great job. He was well dressed, listened to our questions and had the answers ready. He was pleasant to talk with. We saw the facility and toured a private room.

The food was impressive but salty. [name removed] and the rest of the staff were wonderful! The residents seemed happy. There are only 42 bedroom units in the facility and not a lot of outdoor spaces but overall very nice with lots of great amenities and activities.

The tour went very well and [name removed] was excellent! Brookdale is somewhat dated, clean, staff is friendly, residents are friendly, many activities and outings. I could not ask for a better person to show me around, knowledgeable in all aspects of assisted living and memory care. Brookdale is well worth the visit!

We enjoyed touring the facility. The residents were friendly and appeared to be enjoying themselves. [name removed] knew the names of all the residents she saw while taking us around. We liked the interaction between residents and staff. We were expressed with the calendar of activities that were offered. We hope to go back and have lunch in the near future.

No in room 1 bdrm washer dryers. Plus instead of buidling sectioned off to shorter walking to activities ect. Large beautiful complex warm loving staff. Not designed parking lots without a long-distance trek. Staff very thoughtful.

We are very happy with the facility, staff, and care they provide. Overall they have exceeded all of our expectations. The only negative comment would be that they often seem to be short-handed. Especially on weekends. Caregivers are awesome, but it's evident their plates at constantly full.

The staff is kind, caring and ready to assist. It's always very clean. Laundry service is most helpful. Activities and entertainment is good. My sibling has a studio, with private bath which is lovely and easily maintained. She is very happy and I take comfort in knowing she is always safe. The meals need to be improved; options, quality and service with emphasis on the senior resident dietary needs.

Things are as you would expect. Food is passable, care is too. Activities are severely limited but overall, the residents seem to get along well.

Have been very satisfied. Food service staff and general staff is very friendly. There is a full schedule of activities every day. An indoor year round pool makes comfortable exercise. Food is varied and good 3 meals a day 7 days a week. Studio apt is about 540 sq-ft. A number of public activity rooms allow for multiple events without one intruding another.

The studio we've obtained is the perfect size for what was needed, the food offered is outstanding, the Dining Services Director, [name removed], has been amazing with my family members food restrictions! My only reservation is that we have requested on multiple occasions that staff knock loudly before they enter for any reason. Bringing meds, emptying trash, checking in for laundry or in shower day. Each time there's a nearly inaudible tap & the simultaneous sound of the key in the door and in enters staff. They have literally caught the dweller pants down on more than one occasion! I am printing a sign for the door that states "Knock loudly and wait for response before entering"

The have been very accommodating and supportive of Dad's transition. I would recommend to others.

When I visit my friend and I see the staff they are very nice and helpful. The overall cleanliness is usually very good. I haven't eaten there and usually all my friend gets is a hamburger. I put 4 in some areas only bc you can always improve. That's about all I can say at this time. No complaints. Of course I would recommend Brookdale to others.

Staff turnover is a problem. As soon as my parents get used to and like one person, they leave and they have to get used to someone new again. Food is mostly good, but they do serve spicy Italian or Mexican food sometimes and that is hard on elderly with acid reflux. The apartment is working out and the staff are very kind. I would recommend it to others
