Really liked the setup and room options. Strong candidate.

My Mom started out in Assisted Living, because she had a pet. After her pet died, and with the encouragement of the directors, Mom was transitioned into Memory Care. She is SO much happier there. She is never alone (she had a private room in AL), and she never feels lost, because the care givers are always present. Even the other residents help each other out. There is genuine affection between Mom and her care givers. The relief I feel that she is well cared for is indescribable. The facility is older and definitely has a "lived in" look, but it's clean, the food is good, and the care is attentive.

The facility was clean and the people were very welcoming. They offered comprehensive programming. However, the monthly fee is very expensive.

Aside from a few things they are working to fix, this is a wonderful place to live. Everyone there works together to assure our life is as easy and stress free as possible. The management staff is very involved in the everyday workings of the facility and that is essential in making things run smoothly. I would highly recommend Brookdale Springmeadows for a long term care choice. I only gave 4 stars, instead of 5 because of the few small areas that they are working on bringing up to their high standards of care.

I recently visited my brother in Brookdale. I am pleased to report that, after spending a few months there,he is very satisfied with his accommodations and the environment. I personally find the staff to be friendly and helpful and the facility to be very clean and orderly.

Everyone is helpful and caring, Brookdale understands their mission. They are always ready to help and do so with a smile

I like that there are a variety of activities. What I think is most important is to join the community when you are still very capable of doing a variety of things. As you become less able I could see it being more challenging to participate.

It seemed like a very nice facility but for what I am looking for I think it’s just not the right fit.

I have only had my mother in this facility for less than 2 months. I do not have a fully formed opinion yet.

My husband was admitted to BD memory care [date removed]. He acclimated quickly & felt very comfortable. Being around a lot of people gave him a source of security. He likes the food & eats very well. The nurses are kind & considerate. He seems to work well with them. They are hard working & try harder to keep them happy.

If I could give a rating of 4.5, I would. Living here means having the opportunity for lots of friends, having a broad assortment of many varied activities, being with a superb and caring staff, experiencing the beautiful grounds with many trees and ponds, feeling supported as well as cared for and about. The small drawback is the inconsistency of the quality of our meals. Often great and tasty, but we do have times when things don't go well and we have disappointing food. We anticipate improvement with a new kitchen manager! The services offered are generally done well. The residents are friendly and welcoming as well, varied in age and life experiences making the social life quite satisfactory. I'm very pleased to be living here for the past year, and would recommend to others who are independent and in relatively good health.

It's overwhelming to locate a suitable place for an elderly parent, especially if Sundowner's begins to hit. Be sure you are aware of how much help a resident can actually get, and how the prices will increase depending upon the need. There will be a sizable one time community fee in addition to admission costs. Make certain you know you have the option to come and observe a parent before they are sent to the emergency department and you are allowed to make the determination if the visit is necessary. My dad had a habit of getting on the floor. This was interpreted many times as a fall since it was unobserved, and their reaction was to send him to the ER. I did not realize I had the option of doing an observation myself if he was not bleeding or obviously injured. Brookdale aides did their best with the small amount of night staff that was available for monitoring and care. I had to choose to move him to a memory care facility in another location because he needed it.

My mother has been there for about two months now. Mom looks clean and well cared for. The staff is friendly and caring. The facility seems very clean and well run.

After my Mom moved in, I needed help with getting her a landline put in, and still nothing has happened, no help from them.

Sometimes due to the staff shortage, it’s difficult to get help but they’re working on it. I’ve noticed a change in the last three weeks that things are getting better like when you’re at the front door at night to come in late you don’t have to wait 15 or 20 minutes up to a half hour you’re able to get in within five or 10 minutes and this is due to the staff shortage but they are working on it

Staff seemed very caring and knowledgeable. Residents seemed friendly and happy. Facility seemed clean. Meals were adequate and good tasting.

Brookdale was the only facility we could find that would accept my dad while under hospice care and let him live out the rest of his life there in a nice room. His nurse rook exceptional care of him working with the hospice nurses also

My mother was placed here about 2 months ago. Mom is very pleased. Mom likes most meals, if there is something she doesn't like she can choose something else. My sister, brother and I have spent time there almost daily. They do not have enough help to handle all their clients, but no different than other homes we visited. A written introdution to services, in the facility and how to get on the schedules would be help. Mom has an adjustable motorized bed with an assist device from Healthy Quip to aid in getting in and out of bed that was screwed into the bed frame. It had a pocket that held her bed remote keeping it easily accessible. Brookdale would not approve and we had to purchase a floor to ceiling transfer assist pole. Her original assist was much safer. Then I was notified that they were increasing charge $[removed] because mom required 2 person lift. However as I said we spend a lot of time there and, rarely do they have 2 people. So if Mom can't be at home, this is the best place

The staff are caring and my spouse likes the food. The price is good and overall the facility is kept clean. Thy have activities throughout the day and there is a variety of residents with different care levels.
