Brookdale

This is originally where I wanted to place my mom, but we moved her to a different facility instead. And it turns out that my initial gut feeling about Brookdale, where we have since moved her, was correct. They are very attentive and very in tune with her needs. The only reason I didn't give them five stars on everything is they've had some staffing issues recently, which everybody has. But I would highly recommend it over any of the other facilities I toured in the area, and I went to almost all of them. The facility is immaculate. They're always decorating for events and holidays. The whole facility is spotless. And they have just gone above and beyond in accommodating for my loved one's needs.

The gal showing us around for the tour was absolutely phenomenal and gave a great tour. The community was very joyful and it overall looked like a great place to have a loved one. The reason we did not choose them was because it was much smaller and a little older and we were moving my loved one from a big and brand new facility, so we were looking for a place that kind of matched that.

my favorite department is activities. they hose the best exercise class which I attend everyday at 10am. I am also very appreciative of our housekeeping crew.

We like the smaller size of the community, the residents are so friendly and right when our loved one moved in they were coming up to him and just making him feel so welcomed. The staff are very welcoming and super friendly. The director [name removed] has been very helpful especially when we ran into some financial issues he was quick to get them resolved. Our loved one is on the independent side but they still come to check on him which we appreciate. He is really enjoying the meals and dining services, and loves all the activities. He loves being able to go out everyday with the residents to different parks and shopping stores.

The staff are great and friendly at this community. If you have a loved one that is in need of placement I would highly recommend this community.

Brookdale has more of a homey feeling to it. There are always things going on, my dad does not participate in any of the activities but they are definitely there. I stayed with my dad and I thought the food was really good, they do have a menu to choose from for each meal. The staff are very straight forward when they tell you about things and have been super friendly. The head nurse is the best and my dad really has taken a liking to her. The executive director is also very good and does a good job running the facility. I would recommend Brookdale Wilton others who are looking.

My father's apartment is lovely. It's perfect for him, and he likes it. He's 96 years old but very active and independent. His biggest objection is many of the other residents seem older and less active (using walkers / disabled). But our family is very happy with it and the care he's receiving. The staff are very accommodating. We're very happy we moved him here.

They do a very good job of acclimating the resident to the community. They do a good job of showing all the options. Just about everyone we met prior to coming into the facility were overly friendly and it has continued since we got here. We feel like we got the best bang for our buck compared to other facilities that we checked out.

The staff overall are very responsive, they are quick to get back with questions. We have only had a few times were we call a couple times and nobody answers.

The staff is passionate on taking care of us. The activities we do range from creative to educational to physical exercise and are always enjoyable. I know the staff care not only for me, but for my dog too! I have also made some great friends.

This community is expensive but it is for sure worth it. It has for sure made a mark in my loved ones life. I describe this community as my xanax because I was so stressed out and not sleeping. Now everything is going very well and my loved one is doing like 110% better. I would for sure recommend this community for you or your loved one. This is a smaller great community.

The food here is exceptional, our mother has a very picky pallet and she just raves about the food. The conditions of the apartments are excellent, the variety of activities and community events are really good. They have a pool with water aerobics which is fantastic, and they have assisted living on site so eventually our loved one will be needing that and she will not have to move communities. However our one complaint would just be with the house keeping, they say the residents get house keeping twice a month that is included in the rent, but it seems like they maybe are only there 10 minutes so I'm not sure how adequate or thorough of a job they are doing.

This is a good place for my loved one. The staff take care of him and do a good job working with me also. My loved one likes different types of food and more of country cooking so he struggles with the meals sometimes but other than this they do a good job. They have activities like coloring, puzzles, workbooks and more for the residents to do to stay occupied and having fun. They also have cooking classes and my loved one likes this. They also have outings for the residents for them to get out in the community and do things.

Really the bathrooms were the main issue - they still had tubs, and we needed a handicap accessible walk-in shower for our loved one. Which was surprisingly difficult to find elsewhere as well. . .

Our family had an in person tour and this community was just bright, sunny, cleaning and extremely friendly staff. This would of been out first choice but it just boiled down to the price and it was a little to expensive.

All of the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful to us and were very professional, we really appreciated that. It is very expensive, there are some add on fees in the beginning that make the cost go up and it was a big shock to us. Their hospice group was really good and they took great care of her. Overall we would recommend Brookdale to other families who are looking.

The cleanliness of the facility is super, there is never a smell which I think says a lot about the quality of care. The room sizes are adequate and they have their own private bathrooms. I do wish that we could get the caregivers to go by and check on her more often because my loved one has been falling more often and needs to be checked on frequently. Overall due to experience at other facilities, I would definitely recommend Brookdale to other families looking. It is a great place.

They treat you like a member of the family. The food doesn't seem like enough and tasteless for my loved one. We do try to assist my loved one by bringing them food from the outside to eat and enjoy. They have regular newsletters for the family to review.
