Brookdale

This facility is literally our knight in shining armor. They treat the residents like there is life left for them to live and it shows. That has been so joyous for me to see. I'm there quite a bit and have never witnessed the staff angry or upset with the residents at any time. The staff is wonderful and always present. They are great about checking on the residents on a very regular basis. They keep the residents out of their rooms and interactive as much as possible. Although, I would like to see more variety of activities. Especially for memory care residents. But I do understand how that could be challenging. We came from a facility that we had a terrifying experience with and I couldn't be happier to have mom here. The transition was so easy. I finally feel like mom is safe. And she feels safe. It's a family atmosphere here. Most of the staff and residents are on a first name basis. They have paintings that the residents have painted hanging on the walls. So many small touches that make it feel like home. The food is good and the basics (beverages, condiments, etc) are always readily available, which I really like. They have assigned seating in the dining room and they rotate it often. I think this is wonderful, it's a creative way to help memory care patients interact with each other and it works well! No complaints from mom on the food, which says a lot! Yes, it's an older facility, but don't be fooled. They've got the experience, the staff, and they truly have it figured out. I highly recommend them to everyone I know!

I'm really liking Brookdale; I'm having a much better experience than the last place.

The Brookdale Palma community is very clean and the staff members are very friendly. Our loved one reports back to us and always says how the meals and dining service is always great. We think the value for the money is really good and based on our experience we would recommend them to other families.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a good overall tour experience but location was very important to us so ultimately this community was not going to be suitable for our loved one.

Our loved one came here from a previous community and already the experience is night and day, the staff here at Brookdale are just really on top of things

I toured Brookdale Dickinson Avenue and it was a good experience. Their campus and staff were both very good. We chose another community as it all boiled down to cost and Brookdale was a bit too expensive.

Staff are very willing to sit down and talk with you and help you through everything - they are very nice people and help you through the whole process. It is expensive but wroth it because of all that they provide for him. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Evesham to others.

The staff is very friendly and the community overall everyone is engaged. We are very happy with my mom being there. She seems to be comfortable and very content. She is participating in many activities which makes us very happy. Overall everything has been wonderful and we are quite happy she is thriving.

I had a unique experience, as they were in transition with the director and the person who signed us up. So, I don't think we got the true experience there that other people may have. It is very well appointed, the lobby is very nice and so are the rooms. There are a lot of activities and it's in a nice setting. There are a variety of room types; while we don't have a room with a kitchen which I think he would have liked, you have to take what you can get. Overall we are happy that they had an opening and that it's a good fit.

Brookdale Portage is a very nice place and my mother seems to be very happy living here.

Here's the thing I am beyond happy of how well they take care of my dad. He was at another memory care and it felt like a lot of the caregivers had very little experience with dementia. At Brookdale they KNOW my dad. They can tell the second something is "off" or wrong and they take care of it even if they have to call 911. They really care about him and he cares about them too. Brookdale is such a blessing to me because they help me so much too. I also love that they have a nurse practitioner that comes there for check ups especially since Dad doesn't always want to leave. I can't recommend Brookdale enough. I am so grateful to everyone that works there.

The food is not always consistent, not always the best. The staff/people are very friendly and welcoming, which makes all the difference in the world. My loved one, felt at home after only being there for 10 days. They have a shuttle service, that takes the residents to Walmart or to doctors visits. Overall, I love the location.

We decided on Brookdale Germantown because of the friendliness of the staff and the comfort level that my dad felt with the place when we toured it. We toured many places that were more higher end but they just did not have that homey feeling that Brookdale has. It was actually the first place we looked and he did not care to look at any others, we did anyways but none compared to the comforting feeling he felt here. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

Our tour at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs was really good. I liked that they had end of life care, so we wouldn't have had to move our loved one eventually. I just didn’t see a large community there, and she’s a very social person. But it seemed like a safe community with safe activities. And the location was very nice.

The staff members at Brookdale are very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our loved one has really improved her health since leaving home, she is well taken care of. They staff are always very quick to answer the residents call lights and based on our experience we would recommend the community to other families.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. I also recommend you continue to show up and visit your loved one to make sure things are being done as they should be. The staff communication is good with the family. There are three meals a day served and the resident's do have choices to choose from.

This was a clean community. The person that did the tour was nice. My loved on preferred another community as this one didn't feel as friendly.

They are very accommodating, flexible, and they communicate well when you reach out to them. In my experience, I was suddenly in a bind and needed to find a place more quickly than most people. I didn't have time to plan; Brookdale very quickly met the need and coached me through what needed to be done. So in that respect, it was a perfect fit.
