This is a very clean, friendly community that meets the needs of my dad. Pets reside there and pets can visit. This is a fine senior community.

Visited on 7/11. Extremely well managed, clean and organized facility. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Welcoming environment with many amenities. Met with Diane R, very informative with extensive community involvement and outreach programs. Like the 8:1 resident to staff ratio. Pet friendly is a big plus. Expect to visit again with potential resident this weekend or next week.

Lodge at Paulin Creek is a fantastic community that is very clean and very well maintained. The only issue I would have is that they either do not clean the resident’s rooms or do not clean them often even if the resident is no longer there. It is a great community and we are happy our loved one is here. They offer lots of activities and seem to have a pretty good variety. When we chose this community prices were a factor and we feel they provided the best value. The community is a secure community which was exactly what we were looking for. The community is decorated pretty modern and it really nice. Our loved one loves the food and if he is happy then so are we. We would highly recommend this community to anyone.

The Emeritus is a great community. I was extremely impressed by them and just everyone there. The have a lot of activities and they do not all take place on the property. They actually take the residents off of the property for some activities, they recently took them to the very first lighthouse built in California and had a picnic there. The staff and the residents try to find out information about new residents so that they can make them feel welcomed. We are saddened that my mom will not be able to stay here because she needs a higher level of care. I would highly recommend Emeritus to anyone.

The nursing staff did a great job caring for my dad, the nurse was very attentive when he became sick. The first time we came to Homewood Residence the place sold itself, we met Angie who was competent and did an extremely good job of explaining everything. My parents are adapting very well, which is good. Mom is an extremely picky eater and she really likes the food, she is even gaining weight. She has been really impressed with the church services and activities Homewood Residence offers and has met a number of other ladies there. The only negative, if there is one, would be the size of the apartment, if it was a few feet longer and wider they could have fit some more furniture.

This community is very close to me so I can get there in a short time to visit my husband. The staff is what really made the difference. They are very friendly and helpful. They do allow pets and thought about taking a cat for my husband but not sure if he would be able to care for it. The food is really good and it is served to you at the table, they provide two choices and when you decide they bring it to you. Every time I visit I feel very welcomed. I would recommend this community to anyone.

I have spoken with 4 different and have been very impressed with their caring attitude toward residents and their families. I like the layout of the building and the fact that they are very oriented toward dementia and Altzheimers patients. Clare Bridge is #1 on my list. I plan to return for another visit to observe residents involved in activities.

I'm sure it is a lovely community, but I spoke to someone there and they are more of an independent living solution. My father needs a lot more care than that.

Very nice place, just don't do medicaid penning.

We chose Clare Bridge because they were able to offer the appropriate level of care we needed for our loved one. We were at a different location and they just couldn’t provide what we needed. They offer more staff on duty during the night and weekend then other communities could offer. Our loved one is a fall risk especially when the community is at minimal staff. Clare Bridge really helped make us feel like they could provide that staff. We are very pleased and would recommend it to anyone.

Bright, airy, immaculate facilities run by very capable people who want to be there. This is located in a very beautiful area.

We chose Clare Bridge because everyone on the staff from the laundry staff to the Head Chief Diane is just really friendly, helpful and accommodating. We visited 4 other properties and this was the best value. The staff takes really good care of him he use to be lost and now I know he feels good and is adjusting very well. They do a lot of activities like sing along, dancing and baking events to name a few. One of the staff members actually sent me a picture of him dancing and just having a good time, which made me happy. It’s been a great experience its just like being at home. Once a month they also have a celebration dinner where you invite your family and friends, last one we went to they had a beautiful salmon dinner. We are very pleased and would recommend to anyone.

this is the only community which has contacted me, made additional efforts to ensure we knew about their community. Additional contact on feedback after touring w/any additional questions I might have. The facility was very comfortable, does not have the caged in feeling. Courtyards that feel like a backyard. They have the ability to conform to whatever needs a family may have: respite, senior day, trial living which I feel is an added plus. People we (my husband I) encountered their were friendly, residents and employees. In order to see if my mom will possibly accept the move I am able to start my mom with senior days w/her caregiver or I at no additional cost. This way she can get used to the residents, employees and hopefully enjoy the planned activities. needless to say my husband and I were very impressed, he says this the place for her without looking anywhere else.

The people are really friendly and the community is nice and clean. They are a little bit pricey but so are all of these types of places. The main reason we choose “Clare Bridge” is because they are better than a nursing home.

It is a very pleasant place and I would feel very comfortable with my mom living there.Tom was very helpful and I had him place my mom on the waiting list with the understanding that it may be some time before she would move there.

There are many reasons that we choose to go with “Carolina House of Smithfield.” Both of my parents are residents here. The residents and staff are very friendly. One of the major selling points is that when we went to visit before we ever met anyone we noticed how everyone had a smile on their face, and it wasn’t just for show. We listen to the staff speak to each other and the residents and everyone was actually happy and very respectful toward each other. It was really a big issue for us that the people were actually happy and not miserable. It’s nice to know that people really enjoy their job and helping others. The have been very good about responding to any type on concerns that we may have. They also have a nice library and a couple of TV rooms. The even bring a TV out to the dinning room for a communal church service that they do over the television. All the rooms are really nice and well decorated, and everything is nice and clean also. I was just visiting my parents today and when I left they had a 35 member church youth choir singing for them, the choir was just great. My dad loves music and they have a ton of music activities. Every Friday they have different bands come in and play and sing for them. They also have karaoke nights, and every week they also have some other type of music group come in and play or sing for them. They have a lot of other activities also but dad really likes the music. They even have a chef on staff that works with a nutritionist to make everyone food. Dad is a bit of a picky eater and thinks the food is a little bland, but the doctor has him on a low sodium, low fat diet. Mom eats what she likes. The food is good but dad misses his Bo Jangles Fried Chicken, even though they make a nice Chicken Cordon Blu for him it’s not the same as Bo Jangles. So far so good, everything is ok and we just take it one day at a time, but nothing beats Bo Jangles Fried Chicken.

The staff is extremely friendly and can recall all the new residents’ names right off the bat. They are either trained very well or they are very particular on who they hire. The staff alway have smiles on their faces and are extremely courteous with residents and visitors a like. I was in the health care industry for over 15 years and spent a lot of time going into places and this is by far the best that I have ever seen. They have a booklet full of activities and they actually encourage the residents to participate. They also have a library that is run by residents; one of the residents approached my mother about helping out with the library since they knew she had a lot of experience as a librarian. My mom apartment is very nice and they keep it very clean. She has only been there a week and is already getting comfortable. I have not found any negative and I have been looking for them. I think my mother quality of life will be very good here. I can see a very positive influence it is having on her already. I am glad my mother chose this community because this is the one that I would have chosen for her. My family is very supportive of my mother choice. I would recommend this community to anyone.

We put my mother-in-law into “Clare Bridge” for memory care and they are AMAZING! Mom is doing FANTASTIC! We had her in a different place and “Clare Bridge” is so much better. You can tell that they understand the needs of the residence and truly go out of their way to make it a special place for the residence. They treat them with respect, not like they are children so my mother-in-law is able to get the help she needs but still retain a sense of her independence and dignity. My mother-in-law is about as happy as she can be at this point. We haven’t had any issues and everyone is very helpful. We made a good choice.

I have been looking around for a couple years just trying to plan ahead and I had “novi” pegged from the beginning. I love the fact that they have a very experienced staff. The longevity of the employees they all have been working their for years and even move up in the company as they stay with them. The people are very friendly and the community is very clean. I have looked around at a lot of communities and I knew that I wanted “novi”. They offer a full range of services all of which are satisfying. The food is good with a well rounded menu. The diversity of the entertainment activities is great they have everything from bingo, baseball, trips to the casino and even music. The people and the staff are very involved.
