We chose this community because it was near the area where my cousin grew up. The community is just superior to the others. The value, friendliness and care services of this community really make this a superior community.

I looked at 8 or 10 different communities and this one was just the right one, "My heart was stuck on Emeritus at Eden Estates". Peggy Barker was the difference maker in choosing a community for my parents. She just made everything so much easier during this difficult time. "Peggy really deserves a big raise". From the bottom to the top everything is just wonderful. Everything I ask for no matter how silly it is I get an "Absolutely" and "Of Course". I asked if I could bring some of my parent’s yard decorations to the community and they said "Absolutely". My parent brought some of there children silhouette yard decorations for the garden and a brand new patio set we had bought for them just before they moved in. It really has a like family feeling. My parents had been living in their house for 56 years and once we showed them this community they got excited and are now looking forward to this new adventure. From the moment Peggy called me "We just clicked" she understood what we needed and was very helpful. This is a very difficult situation to be in and Peggy really made it a lot easier. I chose this community before my parent had even seen it. They helped me put a binder together with brochures, pictures and just everything they offered so I could pitch it to my parents. The open communication they have is really unheard of. It is amazing how fast the staff gets back to me when I send an email.

My mom likes The Heritage of Raleigh. We are able to visit her there weekly and would rate them highly on cleanliness and friendliness.

Everyone I spoke with had nothing but good things to say about the Meadows. The people are really friendly. I just moved in this past week and so far I’m really happy. The food is excellent it’s absolutely superb, they don’t offer lunch but you can buy food from the café. The grounds are nice with shade, sun and chairs for people to enjoy. I have a wonderful view.

It's really simple why we chose Emeritus at Brighton, we visited a couple of different places and when we walked in we felt like they were run by a business. Emeritus feels like it is run by family, and that's where we wanted our loved one. When we visit they know our names, they greet us, they go above and beyond - just like family.

We chose this community for my mom because the care is continuous, she does not have to mom room and to a different location as her needs change. They make every effort to be accommodating to her needs. Coming out of the main club house you see the swimming pool followed by the lake they have on their 44 acre community that is rich in trees, flowers and lots of greenery. The setting is very resort like and really makes you feel comfortable. The community is very well landscaped and very nicely taken care of. My mom tells me the food is just wonderful. I would say this is just a wonderful place to consider.

We really like that it’s all memory care. Mom can walk around without any restrictions. She can go outside into the courtyard. The people are wonderful. Mom said the food is a bit bland but her doctor has her on a no salt diet.

Originally chosen a different place, but I didn’t realize how close “Emeritus” was. The grounds are very pretty. My mom is a very particular eater the food is good and they work with her.

The reason I choose “The Heritage of Raleigh” for my mom is that it has a good location. The size of the living quarters are nice and they have activities to help keep everyone occupied.

Hit it right on the button. This completely matched what we were looking for, could not be happier with this community. It’s located on a quiet street right behind Chandler Regional Medical Center, it’s within walking distance. Ate there with my mom for lunch and was really good. The Chef Jude is awesome he actually sold us on the place based passion for what he does. He spent forty minutes talking to us about what he does and how much passion he has for cooking for the elderly. He is sincerely amazing. Heather gave us the tour and answered all question. She was also really friendly and knew what she was doing. Feel like my mom will be healthy here due to Jude making it healthy for my mom. She has been in the hospital 3 times last year and it all stemmed from not eating properly, this community have alleviated my concern for it happening again.

They have plenty of activities, but could use a place for disabled people to do some exercise. Feel like there is not enough area for them to walk around and get some exercise in. The parking is a little crowded but it's not horrible. The food at this community is really good and they have excellent service. The staff is friendly and courteous. When I visited this community, I knew it was the one for us. Very pleased with everything they have to offer.

Really pleased. Setting is really nice especially for my mother. The third floor that has a small dining room, so someone that gets confused easily won’t wonder around and get lost. Lower level has a picnic area very attractive and it has beautiful views of mountains. Some of the furnishing just need to be updated. Employees seem happy to be there and are very courteous. The food is good but portions are small however they can get another serving. Seems pretty healthy and has a big variety.

Toured with Julie on 6/7/13. 1. Location 6 miles from home. 2. Beds - 115. 3. First impression - people sitting on the porch enjoying the morning. 4. Outside was clean and well kept. 5. Inside clean, lots of people waiting in the lobby for their exercise class to begin. So, that made it seem a little crowded & loud. 6. Staff was courteous to us. 7. Information was well presented. 8. Basic price for one bedroom studio w/bath $3,100/mo. unfurnished. 9. Medication assistance - included. 10. Personal assistant plan (Level 2) - $775/mo. 11. Total $3875/mo. There is a $5,000 buyin fee to maintain the $3,100 studo price. 12. They do take Medicaid. 13. Did not talk to other clients. 14. They provide transportation to and from doctor visit and they take day trips. All in all, it looks like a very nice facility and it would be basically a good place for any Mom or Dad.

My mother loved it! We toured three other places and she liked The Hampton the best. I'm not qualified to rate their activities, but everything else was 5 star at The Hampton.

Just last week we moved my sister into Horizon Bay in Carrollton, Georgia. I could not be more pleased. Each person on the staff has gone out of their way to make sure that my sister feels at home and has everything she could possibly need. The facility is spotless - you can't believe that even the stairwells "sparkle". The food is fantastic as well with eight or nine entrees from which to select. I thought "anytime dining" was only for cruise ships but I was wrong! Horizon Bay has it now! One of the best features is how happy and friendly the residents are and how welcoming they have each been to my sister and to my husband and I as well. That alone tells me how happy they are to be living at Horizon Bay. In fact, we've already told our children, this is where we'd like to live when our time comes. There are so many activities that we couldn't get bored. Many of the residents have their cars parked outside and it truly is a retirement home for them - they don't need assistance yet, they just love the lifestyle there.

The cost is comparable to other places we looked at. The Sterling House was the first to have an opening and they were also very engaged aand very professional. At Emeritus the staff did not come off as professional and was not as interested or in tune with getting to know my dad like Sterling House was. They were great in wanting to get to know about him and his environment. They were interested in my dad and have his best interest in mind. It is too soon to be able to score their Care Services or Activities for him but I plan to follow up.

We looked around at several retirement communities before deciding The Devonshire was our very first pick. Many different floor plan options, allows a pet, delicious food, two sets of free washers/dryers on every floor, an indoor pool, staff members who actually care and greet residents by name, plus a beautiful resort feel with all the comforts to call home. Reita Derrick at The Devonshire provided us with an excellent tour, answered all are (many) questions immediately and with great knowledge. Reita is a class act and is the perfect person to represent The Devonshire! We asked random people living there how they liked The Devonshire and we were met with positive responses one after another. My dad's moving day was nice and easy and he was greeted by a small welcoming committee and a cheese tray to make him feel right at home. There is a wide variety of activities, including bridge games which was a huge plus for my father! He said the next day after move-in "I feel sure I made the right choice for my new home. I love it here. It has all I need and more!"

Found this place to be cheerful, upbeat & clean. When I walk in I thought I was in a hotel lobby. Beautiful atmosphere. Rooms/hallway well lighted. Price for a small private room with all the amentities was just what we are looking for my mom. Amendities include cable which alot of the places do not include in the price. A plus.

After much soul searching my family decided Mom needed full time care which we were not able to provide. We were so pleased with our interview and tour of the residence and community. We were actually excited about the prospects Carolina House offered Mom that she had not had in a while. She had been with full-time caregivers; she could now have a little independence. We are so pleased with the programs and activities offered at Carolina House. The administration and staff are kind and genuinely caring. We have been nothing but pleased.
