Brookdale

After speaking w/Tracie and then speaking w/Laurie (exe dir of Emeritus) and touring the facility, my sister and I knew immediately this was where Mom needed to be. After she saw the facility she said it looked like she was going to a fancy hotel to live. The staff at Emeritus has been nothing but kind, accommodating and loving to our Mother and my Sister and I. They seem to go out of their way to make everything just right for everyone. I have heard nothing but positive praise from the current residents as well. I believe God had a hand in steering us to Emeritus through Tracie.

I took my wife to Emeritus at Creekview only yesterday. I have never felt so confident in any decision in my life. My tour last week was wonderful, all inclusive and answered all my questions. The move in yesterday was more than I expected. Every employee that was working came to greet her and made her feel welcome.

So I'd been looking all over the place for a good permanent home for my father. I'd had so many bad options just from care quality and pricing prior to Brookdale. Dad's been in need of a lot of care, pretty much to where most other places would consider it full-time nursing care. Brookdale has been great with everything. He has his own apartment with all his meals provided, gets assistance with anything he needs - including the 1-2 people to help him move when he needs to do so, help bathing, grooming, with medicine, with everything. He likes it a lot so far. It doesn't feel like a hospital, doesn't smell like one and it seems that they generally don't treat their residents like they're in a nursing home/hospital. The people there seem like they genuinely care about what they do and enjoy it and want to be there. They encourage animals to be there and had a "house" cat for awhile as well as a little mini aviary in one of the sitting rooms with finches and doves. The facility is gorgeous and in addition to everything great there, they have outings to go to dinner, go to the symphony with other residents. My dad hasn't made it out yet but we're only about 3-4 weeks in thus far and he's still getting used to everything and meeting everyone. The food seems good and my father is generally picky about it and said it's good, so that's saying something. They have also helped him get back into physical therapy which someone comes a few times a week to help him with and they also have a house doctor who checks up on everyone and they've all been terrific. They keep me informed and bring things to my attention. You know this place is worth consideration when the last time I visited my dad, I walked into the big living room/lobby area and there were a bunch of staff and residents playing volleyball with an inflatable smiley face ball and a net :) Also, in terms of the cost of other facilites with less privacy, more additional expenses and people who generally don't seem to enjoy their jobs, from what I could tell, the price is right. They separate the values between living arrangements and care. The nice part being, if you or your loved one are recovering from something, need more care to start and improve and need less help with things, your monthly cost will reduce. It's also nice knowing that once you get to a certain point in the care, the cost will never go up.

I showed unannounced and I was really surprised of the appearance and cleanliness of the facility. All of the employee's are friendly and ready to assist me. I moved my mother in last Monday and she is getting adjusted to her new and beautiful facility.

This is a beautiful retirement community! They offer the care my mom needs in the future. The apartments were spacious and the price was competative and in most cases less than the other places I've looked at. I felt like my mom would be safe and well taken care of. We ate lunch and the food was fantastic, the staff was friendly and really paid attention to what my mom needed. This place has move to the top of our list!

This place is beautiful. The staff is super friendly. The residents seem free and happy. The dementia and alz. unit was amazing. I spent a long time here. We just didn't have time to get him in here and we felt that he needs to be more self sufficient.

great place. this place was even nicer than I expected.

Our search included 6 facilities in a whirlwind tour of Pinellas and Lake Counties. This is a large facility (110 apartments) with many services. I has a certain gender neutrality about it that sets it apart from many of the very feminine appearing facilities. There are still more female residents then male. The facility was immaculate with no odors. Painting of hallways and complete renovation of rooms is a continuing benefit. The view from the lakeside rooms, from the private terrace, is spectacular over the lawn and, to the lake. Dad enjoys watching the fishermen trying their luck at the lake and, will soon be trying his luck too. The staff is friendly, courteous and attentative. Bed cheks at night are the norm along with meal checks. Miss your meal, they go looking for you.

Our parents are currently living in Chambrel in Ocala, Fl. While touring various facilities a year ago, we found Chambrel to be very clean, odor-free, bright and welcoming. The minute we entered the facility we were cheerfully greeted, and any questions, concerns, and needs were addressed. The grounds are well maintained and offer a beautiful setting for walking. Chambrel offers residents the opportunity to participate in activites for varied interests. The staff is friendly and attentive to the needs of the residents. We find comfort in knowing they are in a safe environment where they are part of a caring community. Our parents have resided at Chambrel for a year, and it has been a positive experience for them and the family.

We toured many assisted livings. This one by far had the most caring and attentive staff. The building is beautiful and the residents were all very inviting and seemed to be active and occupied. We were also surprised by the food; it was really good!

Dropped in unanounced and got a great tour with Mary Roberts. So far this has been the highest cost but the most impressive facility. Staff was very friendly - We got there about an hour before a Valentine party and the place was buzzing with activity. The residence were very friendly and waking the halls. Rooms were designed well.Facility was extremely clean and smelled great. Staff was everywhere - at least 8 were in the kitchen area serving and cooking. 2 or 3 more were setting up a party table and musicians were setting up in the lobby.

FAVORITE~ On waiting list for one bedroom as things come together. 515sq feet for 1 bedroom - PERFECT!

Very nice! Smelled good, van and outings, pets welcomed, cable included, wi-fi and laundry service (each person's done separately).

Very nice. Love the idea of three meals a day and eating at any time. The two bedroom was a bit small but doable. Will go back here to have lunch and review the place again.

Nice place, small, organized, many activities. Activity schedule, nice dining area, they say good food, snacks. Pet allowed! Confined outdoor area! Ok alone or with Dad.
