Brookdale

They've done a fantastic job so far at Southerland Place. My loved one was very reluctant to move, since she had heard bad stories about "assisted living", but the staff were so patient and caring, they really bent over backwards to help her settle in and feel comfortable. It's a very nice looking, clean place, and they have a lot to offer their residents!

Everything is very clean and it smells good. The staff is all very sweet. It’s a very nice place. The staff is incredibly kind. When my loved moved in they even gave her a little bag of cat food. It’s a pet friendly community. There is enough parking when we visit.

You can’t beat the staff. It’s one of the better ones around in Tyler. I’ve been up there and the food looked real good. There is enough parking whenever I go up there. On the cleanliness I’d give them a six and a half! They’re really clean and very friendly.

Sterling House has been wonderful.

My mother was very apprehensive about her move to Trinity. She has a beautiful condo but felt very lonely with everyone's lives being so busy, she found herself alone days on end... Trinity has changed her life immeasurably. Her depression has lifted and she has new friends and a new life with daily activities that gives her so much to look forward to. Trinity gives my mother and our family peace of mind. Thank you Trinity Towers....

Very nice facility and staff. Activities for tenants were great to see, they were engaged and having fun. Definitely being considered.

I was very happy with the fact that they give me a monthly evaluation of how my sister is doing and if there’s any problem they let me know. I think it’s a great value. My sister was somewhere else and the room was much smaller for a much higher cost.

Everything went just as you would expect. They were very professional. There were no unpleasant smells, it was very clean. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. There were never any complaints about the food.

Things have gone great so far at Sterling House! The staff are all very friendly and caring, and they really get to know the residents and their needs. They go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is comfortable and happy! The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they've got a good variety of different activities and amenities!

My Mother has been living at Emerius at Stonebridge for about a year. I wish I had moved her there first. The care at Emeritus is excellent. The staff is extremely caring, the dining experience is lovely and the food is good. The facility is always clean and neat. The director is professional and compassionate. She is always willing to lend a hand no matter if the task is large or small. Also, she will 'lend you an ear' if you feel you need to talk about your loved one. They always have many fun activities for my Mother. She loves that! I can not say enough nice things about Emeritus. It's just wonderful. I am so thankful!

My mother in-law has only been there about 10 days. She really likes all the employees and says they are very helpful and kind. She likes the food too and has nice table mates.

We are where we belong and even better, we are where we want to be. Brookdale Place is special. Why? Because each resident is special and treated as a valued individual member of the community. Our apartment is beautiful with walk-in closets, new stainless steel kitchen appliances, beautiful big windows with window seats built in, freshly painted, new carpeting and in one word, "lovely". The food is delicious, beautifully presented and graciously served. Three dining rooms give us a choice of varied atmospheres and times to eat. The staff is friendly and is a part of the community. Staff members greeted us with our first names after meeting us only one time. The opportunities for enrichment seem endless. There are trips on Brookdale vans to places to shop, visit, eat. There is transportation to medical appointments if you don't have your own transportation. We have a carport that came with a surprise: a locked storage room with shelving in place. We have met many people during our short time here and look forward to many years of gracious and happy living at Brookdale Place as my husband and I age together in our new home.

$5000 plus $1800 care=$6800

First my father went to Sterling House of Westerville and about four months later my mother(both with dementia) went there. My father stayed there until he passed away and my mother was there until one month before she passed. Everyone in my family gives the staff an A++ in every way, they could not have been any better. We did not want to, but had to take our mother out one month before she passed as part of a Medicaid application(S.H.O.W. does not take Medicaid). The only negative we had was the cost got very steep with time.

Excellent staff, a variety of daily activities, onsite medical care and prescription service available. The facility is new and clean. The management staff is also excellent and works with you to give you the documentation you need. We were allowed to decorate our Mom's room to give her as much of a "home" feeling as possible. The staff can ensure that Mom actually takes her prescribed meds. They assist her to the dining area and back to her room. Their dementia services are excellent and they all show a caring attitude. You can inspect at any time. Great place and thanks to A Place for Mom for providing introductory information.

Dad and I would recommend Emeritus at Elmbrook Estates to anyone needing a place for their loved one. I needed a place for Dad where he felt comfortable, felt secure, and felt like he was a part of the community. Dad loves his privacy when he needs it, but loves to be social when he wants to attend his favorite activity, bingo, or go out to lunch "with the men". I cherish the moments that we spend together. Outdoor activities such as the grill/music events, make for extra special times. All the staff greet me with a smile each time I am there. I feel like they are not only an asset for my dad, but for me as well.

this facility is run extremely well, with great concern for the benefit of the seniors residing there. From the moment we initiated our first inquiry, through the entire process, each staff member was courteous and HAD THE ANSERS for ALL of our questions. The staff, even when they are out of sight from most people, continue a positive attitude…. even if they are tired from a busy day. That is very rare in this industry. This speaks highly for Emeritus as a company who cares about their employees. The residents are invited and encouraged to become involved in the numerous activities that the program director has setup. Residents are encouraged to suggest programs that interest them. Residents concerns are addressed immediately…. which is RARE at other facilities run by other companies in this industry. With an aging society, it is becoming the 'norm' to move from one's home into a facility such as Emeritus at Loma Linda. One IMPORTANT point that should be addressed by all those looking into a facility…. ask ANY and ALL questions…. AND IF there is even ONE question that can't be answered to your satisfaction…. WALK OUT. Emeritus, as an over all company, runs superb facilities…. Emeritus of Loma Linda is 5 STARS all the way.

The team at Clare Bridge was stellar! My mom went in back in March of 2013. She was quite agitated, confused and scared. Staff stayed up with her during the night, walked with her and talked with her. It only took a couple of weeks for Mom to get accustomed to her new home. All of the staff was so wonderful with my mom, getting her involved in activities, and talking with her about her family and her life. We were always consulted with first if there needed to be any change to her medications. We were very lucky Mom had long-term care insurance to pay for her stay. She passed at the beginning of this year from lung cancer. The caregivers were right by her side her last days. I cannot say enough great things about Clare Bridge!

They patient and caring. It takes alot to deal with seniors. They become children again and you have to be able the temper tantrums. Sterling House meets all of the needs for my mother. I would choose the same place again.
