Brookdale

Wynwood of Kenmore is a very nice place with very friendly helpful staff. We checked them out and were pretty impressed with it overall. In the end we decided on another place simply because of location - there was another one that was closer to us and more convenient, but we did get a very good feel for Wynwood of Kenmore.

My mom has been in this facility for four months. She is going to many activities but still hesitate to go on any road trips. Perhaps if they paired new residents with a buddy for a month to take to activities that would help. They have mix and Mingle but staff need to have a game plan to introduce as they tend to stand around and not meet anyone.Staff is very friendly. Would like to see name tags perhaps since many seniors have short term memory and can't remember names or simply don't tell their names. We pay extra for her medication to be given twice daily and when I am there they have not shown up so worry about this. Fortunately not on anything that would be life threatening if she missed it. I do feel she is in a safe caring environment. This was not her choice to be here but likes it and has committed to be here long term after 2 1/2 months, her choice! When looking at senior independent living places before selecting the Heritage felt this had the most energy of residents and this has proven to be correct. All senior living is expensive but believe this is worth the price.

This was a nice facility. We were welcomed by staff and residents when we arrived. Clean, comfortable and cozy. It compares well with where my mother is presently in another state. The woman in the activity room appeared to be enjoying themselves. There were several spacious lounges and meeting rooms. The apartments are a little small, but doable. The only concern is the small bathrooms. Bathrooms hard to fit walkers in and turn around in.

The person who took us on the tour was very friendly and informative.  She was able to answer all of my mother-in-law's questions.  She gave us a very thorough tour of the facility.  We were provided with some packets that answered any other questions that we may have had.  The person that worked in the dining room was very friendly.  My mother-in-law liked how the dining room overlooked the water.  She thought that it lacked outdoor space, because there was nowhere to walk around.  A couple of the residents let us into their rooms to look at them.  They were too small for what they were looking for.  Community was somewhat dated but was clean.  However, overall my mother-in-law didn't like it.  She is looking for something that's more high end.

My loved one has only been here a short time, but so far things have gone very well with Wynwood of Utica! The staff here is very friendly, and they really handled getting her situated and settled in well! They took care of getting her hospital bed ordered and her prescriptions set up, and they've remained very communicative with our family about how she is doing and things she might need.

I found Wynwood to be a very good place for my mom. The staff is informative and friendly. If you have questions or problems they are solved quickly. The nurses work with you to get everything your family member needs and will call anytime there is a problem. So far, I have been very satisfied with Wynwood.

My mom moved to the Assisted living area at Brookdale on Wornall. The staff are great. I am concerned at the overall lack of activities that all of the Assisted living communities have for the clients. The community my mom lives in has had some turn overs in key areas that I think has hurt them some but they are trying to cover those areas. I really do wish they could have some outings for just the Assisted Living residents. Right now they have to sign up on the 1st floor if they want to go somewhere and it isn't promoted much.

Liked the new bldg. Memory Care "Clare Bridge", may be a possibility in Ocala

We have been very impressed. We always remark on the cleanliness. My parents are enjoying the food. Its better than we have expected. Every person has been truly helpful. They could use a little more parking.

When I had my mother there, there was one lady in particular that really did a great job taking care of mother really well. I was always happy when I knew that she was going to be there as I knew that she would be taken care of. Whenever she was not there I was sometimes a little concerned if my mother would have the care and attention she needs. My mother did not come out of her room much, so part of the problem is on her, but they did not do as good of a job as I felt they should to check on her, make sure she has plenty of water, make sure all her other needs are met, etc.

Very immaculate. Timothy was very nice, compassionate and totally understanding. He wanted to make sure we clear on everything and that we would be able to see my father living there. He also suggested making sure that we looked at other places too. The surprise for us was an apple pie to take home.

So far everything is going very well. I don't ever hear any complaints. It's a beautiful place, and the people are really nice. They have been very attentive and responsive. The security here is great!

So far so good. The care has been very good over there. It's always in fairly good shape there. I feel very confident we found the best place for her. She likes the other residents. She likes most of the personnel, though there have been one or two people that have upset her. However they handle it right away if we bring anything up. The residents complain that the food isn't very good, but I have tasted it and it's always been good to me.

Our experience thus far with Brookdale South Bay has been very good. We have only been there for about a week so our experience is somewhat limited, but thus far everything is positive. I really like that they have 24/7 concierge and there is pretty much nothing that they say no to. The food is excellent, and if the resident is not feeling well they will bring the food to them in their room. So far everything is going really well I and trust that will continue to be the case.

It is very expensive because everything is ala carte so it is easy to get nickeled and dimed to death. It is very good, just costly. Their activities director was very enthusiastic and her presence was a very important reason why others were so nice. She was very instrumental in making it a good place.

We haven't gotten to spend a lot of time there, only a week or two, due to my loved one's health issues. However the experience with them so far, has been very good. We are holding her spot with the hopes of spending more time there. They have been very good in working with us so far.

The staff at Clare Bridge have been very helpful as my mother has made the transition to memory care. They have welcomed her and are integrating her into activities. The activities at Clare Bridge are suited to people with memory loss and they work hard to find activities of interest to each person. The food is great and prepared so that people with difficulty eating have the most opportunity to feed themself (food cut before being brought to the table or a menu used that is finger food).

Overall we have had a good experience so far with Brookdale Phillipi Creek! The staff here are friendly and helpful, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here! My only complaint is I believe that they could be a bit more on top of maintenance issues, and respond to them more quickly.

They do a very good job overall at Wynwood of Utica! The staff here are incredibly friendly, and very caring and professional to the residents. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking out for the people who live here.

This is a friendly and caring facility. It's a small facility so they are able to show more attention to residents, which is very important. This place try's to get residents out of their bed and more involved in activities.
