Brookdale

My dad seems to be in a really good place, he is a lot better than once he moved in. He gets 3 meals a day and likes it. The facility is nice, clean, and a peaceful place. I am really grateful for everything.

My husband likes it here very much and the match is good for him. The staff are friendly and stay on top of things. I think he likes the food and has not complained, I think it is decent. I have not detected any smells and it is clean and the housekeeping do a good job. I would recommend this community to others.

My tour of the facility went well, it is a good looking community. From what I saw everything appears to be well-kept and clean. The staff was kind and friendly. They showed me around the whole facility and answered all my questions. It was a pleasant tour.

We are reasonably satisfied with this community. The staff are nice and there is good communication. My dad is doing better than expected. They are doing a major remodeling but they keep the community clean. I would say the food is a 3 but that may change once the remodel is completed.

Overall Brookdale Hockessin is a nice community. The Community is pretty clean, staff is extremely nice. Different activities for the residents to enjoy. Take good care of the residents. Food is pretty good as well. I give it a 4/5.

Our guide was great using her salesmanship, she told us about all the activities, discounts, payments, and followed up later. I did not like the set up of the place. My mom would have to take an elevator and there are no tracking of residents. My mom needs assistance to not get lost. I also did not like the mixed level of cares like independent living, assisted living and nursing. It was not a fit for my mom.

Mom and I are very pleased with the nurse Tracy we work with on a daily basis. She is very hands on and does what needs to be done. The food is good and they offer good healthy choices. Mom is doing very well and we would recommend this well taken care of community.

This was a nice tour and I think all the people are nice and friendly. We did not like the small atmosphere. There are extra charges for care that is not necessary for my mom's needs. They also have an activities area that are separated in 3 different areas. I felt my mom would get confused.

The community was very different and smaller. I realized this place is more for assisted living, not our needs. The apartments are smaller, there is no cooking area with dinky little refrigerators. We felt this was not going to work for my mom, maybe other but not for us.

My mom is staying at Brookdale Oro Valley and she is doing fine here so far. We are very happy with her care that she is receiving. The services are good too!

I really like my tour of this community, only disappointing part is that they do not offer memory care. Other than that issue it was a very pleasant tour. Every body was very kind and friendly. They were very informative. They offer great activities. If they had memory care I would have moved my grandmother here. It is a very nice community.

When I see my friend he is mostly all smiles. The staff are all nice and helpful. The meals are good but the meat needs to be more tender, hoping for improvements. The facility is very nice and clean. My friend participates in some of the daily activities and entertainment. I think the community is recommendable!

Mom has only been there a few days, however, so far the staff are above average and the community is very nice.. when we have been there a while longer, I will be able to write a better review...Susy is who we have dealt with so far and she has been wonderful....getting us settled into the community, as has everyone

This has been a very lovely experience for me here at this community. Everyone is very kind and helpful. I have nice big apartment that I love. My family is very impressed. Everything is working out very well.

I do like here, and everything is working out pretty well. Everyone is very kind and friendly. They do a good job with keeping everything nice and clean. I will say they could do a better job with keeping the parking lot and outside area cleanlier. There are nice activities, I teach a Spanish class for the residents. I'am pleased with the meals. This is a community I would recommend.

Coming from out of state we had a few issues at the beginning with client intake and medication. The director and his management team have provided us with the assistance we needed to remedy the problems to place my mother in the memory unit with no limitations. Other than those issues it has been a good experience. The care staff here is wonderful. They are taking very good care of my mother and all of her needs. They have been very helpful and informative to me as well by making suggestions on what my mother may need. Mother is participating and working on many of the activities they offer throughout the day. The meals are presented nicely, and my mother is pleased with the taste of the food. They are providing her with great care but also with kindness and assistance she needs to adjust to her new community. I feel confident that my mother will be taken care of in a professional and loving way. This is a community I would recommend to anyone whose parents are in the stages of dementia or Alzheimer's.

The staff is very caring and communication with the family has generally been good, though sometimes it takes persistence. Residents have varying levels of cognitive impairment and staff members seem patient and compassionate. Facility is generally clean but could use updating. I would recommend this community.

So far everything is working out pretty well. My mother is doing good here, she has made some new friends. From what I've seen so far everything seems to be very well maintained. They do a good job with keeping the community clean. They have a good staff here. She is keeping active with all the activities they offer. She is happy with the food. Overall I know she being cared for well and I would recommend this community.

Everything is working out pretty good so far. We are pleased with all Brookdale has done for us. The only issue we are having is some billing problems. Other than that, it is a nice and clean community. The staff is kind and friendly. My mother in law is pleased with the food. They are taking good care of her and her needs.

I took a tour of this community and found that it is a good place. The staff were interacting with residents. The facility looked clean and very nice. The tour went well but this place was far from me.
