I was assigned [name removed] to assist me four hours per visit (Monday & Thursday). I was able to do my personal care but needed help around my house including meal prep. My fall limited me in that I could not bend over from the waist. I also had issues with balance. I ordered groceries for delivery on a day she was here. She would cook when here and make extras to microwave. She did my laundry, dishes, housework. Took me to doctor’s appointments and ran errands like picking up prescriptions. Haven’t been exercising but hope to do that outside while it is still nice out.

From what my husband tells me, the sitters were pleasant. They arrived at 9:30 pm and left at 6:00am, so he really didn’t have a lot of contact with them. There were different people for each night, so I wasn’t crazy about that—we only got to meet the first one the evening before I left the next morning. I simply was concerned for my husband’s nighttime safety—he had been falling quite often and not able to get up.

Senior Helpers has been responsive and communicative, and their price per hour is lower than others. Despite sometimes having caregivers cancel at the last minute, they continue to try to provide good service. I only need someone to feed my sister for two 1-hour meals each day, and I know its hard to find workers willing to work for such a short shift. I will continue to use them as I’ve been happy overall.

Unfortunately our main caregiver hasn’t been happy with them, so it’s been a challenge, but when I reach out they are very responsive and want to help as best they can.

[name removed] was responsive, compassionate and caring. I did have one experience where my husband needed help. The caretaker was sitting next to him and was totally unaware...thank goodness I was there. The caretakers I met were caring, willing to help and very nice. I would recommend Cornerstone.

They are accommodating to each individuals needs. Flexible when schedules change with a week advance notice. Very friendly and respectful employees. They take the time to match employees with the elderly personality and culture.

A good service if you are in a bind and need care for a loved one. The beginning was rocky with frequent changes of caregivers. Last 3 weeks have been very good with a consistent caregiver. There is a variability in the quality of caregivers so do not be shy to call and request that they send someone else until you find one that suits your needs.

The only negative feedback that I could give is is that I was not pleased with one of the caregivers. She was unkept and smelled of smoke strongly.

The staff is awesome they accommodated me to make things work! More than once! I'm just wondering if this is the right thing for me!

Our caretaker is reliable, kind, and thoughtful. We really trust her with the care of my sister. She is able to see what is needed as does it withiout waiting to be told.

I would hire cornerstone again to help care for my loved one. I feel that the caregivers really cared about my loved one.

Great resource to have on tap, but is kind of pricey. Care providers that were sent out were very young but they did just fine. I was told that we would have one provider for the entire week, but that was not the case, which I understand because it was a late request. Everyone was pleasant to work with and very nice to my mom.

I needed a respite caregiver for my wife with Lewy Body Dementia, as she had advanced to a degree it was no longer safe to leave her alone even for an hour or two, even during here nap. I interviewed representatives from a few agencies, and after explaining the type of care our situation required, the only one who immediately suggested the CMS GUIDE program was the rep from Assisting Hands. I was aware of the program, and wanted more information. She explained it in detail, explained how Assisting Hands utilizes the program, and how their system works. I was impressed with her ability to recognize our situation, and have an immediate solution. They work in tandem with Harmonic Health, who facilitates the application process to CMS for eligibility and application. My only criticism is the time it took to complete the process. The rep intimated it would only be a few, maybe 4-6 weeks, but it actually took closer to 11 weeks. Overall we are very satisfied with Assisting Hands

We’ve had four caregivers. The first one did not work, but talked on the phone. Didn’t know how to make a bed. Didn’t know how to fold clothes. The second one was a man we liked them a lot, but he was nasty to other people. The third girl lied about everything. Our fourth Caregiver now is absolutely great. She does everything and ask for more. Also, this central staff is absolutely great to work with.

I would highly recommend [name removed] and [name removed] at Honeywell as administrators. The sitters was exceptional.

I’m blessed to have both my parents still with me at 93 years old. However, it’s a juggle as I work full-time and have a 14 year old with his after school activities. We’ve tried a couple agencies and have had to try different aids as we haven’t had success finding someone who can encompass everything we need. I think what amazes us most is that many don’t know how to cook the basics. Food is the only thing that my parents really enjoy right now. It’s surprising that there are people who don’t know different pans and how to cook eggs, French toast, or other simple dishes. My suggestion would be to really do a Home Economics session when training. Don’t just believe that someone knows their way around a kitchen simply by saying so. The young lady helping now is lovely but I’m not seeing a variety in her cooking. It would be great if she could open up the fridge or pantry and put something together with what’s available.

4 so far. The In-Home Care is mostly just to make sure she takes her pills and we have one caregiver that I rely on who has been extremely helpful. I would highly recommend their services.

We have had some good and nice caregivers. Once in awhile we have gotten new caregivers or clunkers who didn’t know how to get my husband in and out of bed. Generally the agency is now assigning the same caregivers who know my husband and are experienced so everything is going smoothly

I have a very good caregiver and she is never late. She is very responsive to my needs and requests,

A good company to work with for help with home needs. We had one person who was not qualified and they took care of the issue for us. They are willing to do whatever we need to change and have no problem recommending them to anyone. I think their fees are comparable too.
