Very poor business practices. I agreed to have payments automatically withdrawn from checking acct. Big mistake on my part. They sent very unqualified help. After the 4th person in 3 weeks we quit using VA. Never received a statement and 5 months later they hit my account for more than I owed. They have every excuse in the book. If I could I would give them less than 1 star

Worst service ever, beware...talked a good game at first. Set up service, paid [fee removed] deposit, and prepaid for 7 hrs. [name removed] came over at agreed time, thats why I don't mind the 1 star...but did not wear a mask, didnt wash hands or put gloves on for tube feeding, my father did not want them back after that. Cant believe anyone would be that lax in health care for an elderly man when Covid is spiking. I attempted to get a 5 hour refund and request was rejected. Do not use this service, my fault for pre-paying but was in a tough spot. HORRIBLE

The woman who showed up from Placita was very rude to the caregiver assigned to help my mother at home, she spoke down to everyone like belittling us and did not seem genuine with my mother, or me. She took a call while there and the amount of profanity she used made my mom very uncomfortable. Very unprofessional but we do like the actual caregiver.

I wish I would have known what I am about to tell you prior to hiring R Angell’s. I have a 93 year old Mother that requires home care. I utilized R Angell’s for three years to take care of her. In the beginning there were minor issues. Over the years the issues became major. Following is a list of those issues: 1. The major issue was that quite often the caretaker did not show up. The agency was unaware of this due to very poor reporting procedures. If I was home I had to call and advise them there was nobody here. One time I was not here and the morning staff did not show. My Mother laid in bed until 2:00 p.m. when the afternoon person reported. 2. Unqualified staff. Some staff were able to do the job and a few were excellent. However, many lacked experience and were poorly trained. 3. High staff turn over due to poor management skills and lack of respect. Several staff that did a good job were fired for ridiculous issues. Many quit due to the owners inability to properly supervise. 4. Staff spent a great deal of time on their phones. Some were so busy with their phone they did not here my Mother trying to get their attention. 5. At least two staff that we had worked on a business of their own such as selling jewelry while being paid to take care of my Mother. 6. Lack of concern by the owner for the services the client was receiving. New staff were not checked up on. The owner very rarely came by to check on things. She would only stop in when she needed to pick up paper work etc. The last many months she asked that her check and forms be put in the mailbox and she would drive by to pick them up. 7. Total lack of respect for customers. Often the owner would deny issues that were reported or not respond to them. There were other issues, but I won’t go into them. In the end [name removed] left a letter at the house stating in two weeks she would no longer provide services for us. She stated she was unable to find staff that satisfied me. This was after one of her staff yelled at me and told me she did not make enough to do any housekeeping and I could do it myself. This worker was on her phone 80% of the time. She had it on speaker phone which was very disruptive and not what we were paying her for. The other final employee was in the bathroom with the door closed on her phone for 40 minutes. Yes, I was not satisfied. I had no objection to [name removed] quieting since the following month I was no longer going to employ her. I stayed with her far longer than I should have due to bogus promises that “it would not happen again”. I now have a wonderful caring staff who do an excellent job. I am happy my Mother is receiving the care she deserves.

Awful and rude staff including the owner would not recommend them

This service was terrible. I will not be referring Comfort Keepers (Lexington) to anyone. The care givers were wonderful. Very helpful and compassionate. However they had no support from management in times of need. The care giver was unable to locate the supervisor for assistance on multiple occasions. Thankful for their care givers during our time of need, but very disappointed with the operation on management's part. The care givers received no support or guidance from management, which could have helped make the transition of care much smoother!! If I could, I would give ZERO stars!

The care givers were very nice however the office staff, [name removed], was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. Actually hung up on me after calling me at 11:00 pm Sunday night.

I did not like the sales pitch by [name removed] and or his tone on the phone. He was trying to make me feel guilty. Also the costs from PCAH were higher than I was paying in NY.

Don’t cover the shifts that are scheduled. Now they don’t even call to tell us. This month alone they haven’t scheduled help 11 times. I guess their patients aren’t of as great importance as they should be. I’m not sure if it’s because we have TennCare and we don’t private pay. As a manager myself if someone can’t get a job done I do it myself, I guess at the Hendersonville location a manager has a different meaning. Very unhappy and will be reporting to TennCare.

They don't give correct service amounts and bill you for their mistakes. Do you need that when you are taking care of a sick relative?

I have to say I was very disappointed having someone come to my home and take care of my husband and seat there and neglected him was not did I paid for ??

Continuity of care is crucial in caregiving, and Bright Star failed miserably in this aspect. I was initially promised the highest quality of service; that, at the most, my father would have no more than 3 to 4 caregivers; and that the schedule would always be covered. First, caregivers were seldom on time for the shift. Second, in one week alone, there were 6 different caregivers, often changing in mid shift and without any notice from Bright Star. Also, there were instances when my schedule was not covered. In effect, promises made were not kept. Most alarming, one of the caregivers, who was to have stayed overnight, left after 4.5 hours of a 12 hour shift, and therefore left my father alone for 7.5 hours. I had to notify Bright Star of this.

First of all, they are very expensive. \And second, the people they send to help are inexperienced, and untrained in health care. I was afraid to leave because I wasn't sure the young lady would be able to handle an emergency.

Horrible mom went thru 10 caregivers in 3 months that can't keep anyone for more than 2 weeks. They overcharged for hours caregiver was not there. Very unreliable. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I just found out that after firing them in Jan, they are still withdrawing funds from my moms acct. PLEASE do not do direct withdrawal for payment as they keep this info. And please watch your accts carefully. Horrible company!!!!!!

Terrible customer service. Staff is rude. [name removed] seems unbalanced and can not seem to keep focus on the cate for my mother. Constant no show of care providers.

I wouldn't recommend this service because they can't be depended upon to show up. Some of the assistants don't like to do the light housekeeping that is listed in their service contract. We simply couldn't use them anymore due to no shows.

Our experience with Senior Helpers was not a good one at all. They advertised that they had caregivers in our area, but they were always having trouble finding someone for us, caregivers were never on time, and they often didn't show up at all. The caregivers did not seem to be of good quality when they did show up, and they didn't seem very interested in doing their job. The people on the office were very nice, and our interview went very well. I just wish they would have been upfront with us about not having caretakers in our area. Given our experience, I cannot recommend this service to others.

We have received many underqualified aides.We also had [Removed] from our home.

We were all set to use this service. I had someone from this agency come out and evaluate my wife and come up with a care plan and even made a deposit. The first day someone was supposed to come out no one ever did no call anything. The second day the same thing happened still no phone call for an explanation on the third day someone came out in the afternoon which was not the right time and I told them to leave I was no longer interested in using them anymore. I have not heard from them and they have yet to return any of my money for a service they did not perform.

Always sending a new person so that means that I have to show each new person things over and over. Doesn't help me when I'm not feeling good. [Removed] is very rude and some of the caregivers have even said the same thing about him. This location I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I have dealt with the visiting Angels in the Killeen/fort hood , Texas area and I would recommend them but not this location. Also they send caregivers out without them knowing anything about the person or what care that is needed. If you are looking for a company try to find any other one because this one I only gave it one star because I had to give it at least one.
