The agency director required payment in advance before any services were provided. She stressed that if the caregiver didn’t show, payment would be refunded. The caregiver that was assigned was absent more than she was present. We last received services in [date removed], I have not received a refund. I’ve called, left messages, texted emailed and faxed with no response. Is this a legitimate business? Don’t waste your time.

[Name removed], one of the owners, treats the employees and clients in a very unprofessional manner. He raises his voice, talks to you in a demeaning way and treats you as though you were stupid. I was very insulted by him and would NEVER recommed thus company to anyone.

I don't even know where to begin from with this company. They send caregivers to your house who have no idea what they are doing, horrible communication and not professional at all. They advertise their company to look good on paper and online but it's all a facade to get you to become a client. Not even sure they background check or drug test their employees. This company is full of lies and I would recommend you go to a more honest and trust worthy home care agency.

Unreliable, unprofessional and uncaring. They had some of the most ridiculous excuses that I have ever heard of why their aides could not show up or show up on time. The biggest problem they have is [name removed], who handles scheduling. What’s even worse is that if you dare to let them know what you don’t like or what is not being done properly they become insulting and confrontational.

We are so disgusted with the behavior of the caregivers sent for my mother's care. She was very ill. they robbed her of clothing, shoes jewelry and untold other items, taking advantage of her illness, rather than caring for her.

My father was a patient of home instead. He used oxygen whenever he was at his home. An employee of Home Instead moved the oxygen machine from his bedroom to the living room on [date removed] for him to use, since he was in the living room. We left from there and took my father to dinner. While we were out to dinner the machine was moved back into his room by the home instead employee. When we returned a different home instead employee was there and she took our father to help him change and provided him his oxygen mask and turned on the machine. Unfortunately the machine was unplugged and our father was left without his oxygen machine being on for over 12 hours. When we found him the next morning he was in poor shape, taking jiberish and his oxygen was below 80% based on the finger monitor he utilized. From that point on our father was never coherent again. He took a major turn. He passed away within 48 hours of this. There has been no responsibility taken at all with us for the situation

I would not recommend these services to anyone. I dealt with a lot of no shows with these services, attitudes and people sleeping. I used these services for some time and there was no week that they made it through without someone not showing or leaving early. Then on some occasions I had times also where no one would show and we would not find out until right before and I did not know day to day if they would show or not. I just needed overnight and weekend services and it was a lot having to do it on my own when they did not show. It took a while to get invoices and I don't know if they are correct or not. The staffing is horrible and some of the workers are just too young and inexperienced.

It was a terrible experience for my loved one as well as us as well. I have a whole bunch of documentation for missed medications and certain care that was offered and not carried through. They said they would take the residents out and they never did. They did not clean her room and I took pictures when we moved. Her bedding was not cleaned and the mattress cover was covered in stains. They also let their son manage and oversee the patients while they were gone. I went to visit my mother and found out that the teenager was in charge. They have phones but whenever my loved one used the phone it was a problem. They also had a lot of different care givers while my loved one was there and a lot of the caregivers were hard to communicate with. something happen and they had to move my loved one and they moved them without all of their things and this really upset my loved one.

Definitely do not use. They are completely unreliable and take your money upfront. The staff would "forget" to come and some just didn't show up. It was always an excuse. The office was supposed to tell me when they didn't have someone coming. I would have to call them to find out why I didn't have any staff here. Even the forms were unprofessional. They had no title or heading. It was random things copied on a piece of 8.5 x 11 inch paper. The one staff in the office was trying but the owner was horrible. Just not a good company at all.

The caregivers are great! But do not give them any access to your bank account or credit card.

I don't know what kind of company they running but It needs to be shut down for the simple fact they very unprofessional they hire anybody to work seems to me they just want the money an say forget the clients. It just don't sit right with me also they aggravated by trying to talk you out of leaving this company just full of it the state needs to be called In on them an see what they think about this company a piece of TRASH

I'd steer far away from this home care agency. They cared for my elderly aunt last year and the incidents that took place under their care were horrific. For example, one time they claimed to have a staffing issue and were not able to provide continuous care. The overnight shift caregiver purposely left the front door unlocked with a wheelchair bound elderly person alone in the house for 3 hours just so the next caregiver could get in. We're in the San Francisco Bay Area. With all the crimes that have taken place in the last few years, they thought it was a good idea to leave a disabled elderly person in the house with the front door unlocked. Another incident involves another caregiver not helping my aunt up when she fell onto the floor. It's been a few months since we stopped using Honor but the entire family is still traumatized by what they did. We're now having to seek legal action against them.

The care taker was very sweet but not competent at all, maybe under different circumstances it would of been better

Stay the hell away from them. Out of a two week period, we got maybe three days of halfway care, and then they stopped coming.

One or two of the caregivers weren't too good, on their phones etc., but overall the staff are very good people. But the place is so disorganized. They never could get there on time. When they got there, they weren't very well trained. They kept missing appointments because they would overbook and didn't have enough staff to send anybody. We could never get a consistent caregiver. We really wanted a steady person to come in so our loved one would feel comfortable, and so we would feel comfortable leaving our dad in their hands. But it was a revolving door with a different person in and out every day. We weren't getting what I thought we would be getting and what we were paying for.

Very poor experience using the caregiver [name removed] sent out to care for my invalid wife. I quickly “fired” her after the two days she was here. This is the same opinion by my wife, myself, and relatives who were staying with me at that time. The caregiver was very incompetent, even uncertain of what to do. She fumbled around trying to turnover my wife in bed and change her diapers, could not use our Hoyer lift, didn’t know how to empty the Cather bag, told us she doesn’t cook, etc I even had to help her to do some things. We understandably were very concerned about the safety and well-being of my wife in her hands. You need to be cautious in dealing with Amada/Memphis, shop elsewhere. We shopped and found a much better and lower costing caregiver agency, who turned out great, none of the problems we had with Amada. Any of you who gave a five star with Amada, you were just lucky.

I would not recommend to use this service for your loved one. I will not go through this again. My loved one had to show them step by step what needed to be done and still after had to go back to do more work.

Our mom was in the hospital and needed 24/7 care. We had asked Preferred Care at Home for CNAs only, and we negotiated a rate. At times, the person they sent would show up an hour late, and they would still charge us for that hour. They would sometimes leave an hour to an hour and a half early. We asked for some money back, and they refused. I would never hire them again. It doesn't matter if it's in your home or in the hospital, it's not okay to just leave a patient that requires 24/7 care. Our mother was not safe with them.

We are no longer with this company, We started in June and by September we went through 4 different caregivers. We received short notice when people would not be able to come. One caregiver showed up twice in not work appropriate clothing after being spoken to about it. We asked them to text me when they were there and when they were leaving. I was at my moms and she texted me and said she was there but she was not, she showed up 15 minutes late. The website says they hire no one with less than 3 years experience. I was talking with a caregiver and she had told me she only had 6 month experience. I could not trust them and I would not recommend to others looking.

Warning!! To all families looking for care for their family members. This is not a good company!! We used them for 11 months and [names removed] were not truthful about their services. They said they had backup people when the caregivers called off but they didn't. They said they would come to fill in, but they never came out, not once!! Left my elderly FIL with no care many times and my husband had to care for his dad while working his full time job at home. Not to mention, the caregivers would be on personal phone calls or texting, they sat and watched TV versus interacting with my FIL. We paid good money and to receive such poor service was disappointing! We gave them chances after chances to improve, conversations on the phone about our concerns, text messages, but they did not fulfill our requests or needs nor did they fill their obligations. We finally had to cut ties with them. For the safety and well being of your loved ones, I would not recommend this company!!!
