The owner steals money from clients! Please be careful who you are trusting with your family! When asked where the charges came from the owner refused for 2 weeks to provide any paperwork. I would really think twice before trusting your family and friends with this company!

This caregiver company is extremely bad. Their caregiving staff is lazy, was inattentive to our elderly family member, and was not truthful in their reports. Our cameras showed us that the caregivers were more concerned about their telephones than the well-being of our family member and their care.

Poor communication from office. Elderly parents left without help for weeks and still without help or communication. No reply to my urgent plea for help. In my experience when they did supply an aide, they were not trained. Promises were not kept. It’s very sad when the elderly depend on an agency, and they drop the ball.

I was looking for nursing and home health aide services for my husband. I researched four companies which included Alvita. The sole reason I chose them was bc of their pricing being lower than some others and the Nursing Director was very helpful and informative when I spoke to her. Fast forward to the day care was supposed to start and the nurse presented dazed and confused. Had no knowledge of my husbands history or what nursing care needed to be done. I hid my frustration and tried my best to walk her through. Days 2, 3, 4, and 5 I was sent all different nurses and basically same theme. In choosing to take the high road and stay professional, we did switch agencies. One that was more expensive but we are very happy as they are giving us a true concierge experience. As the old adage goes “you get what you pay for” and in our case this was true! If on a budget or seeking an agency similar to one that takes Medicaid, this is the agency for you.

If you're looking for help for your loved one (I'm so very sorry my heart goes out to you) LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I NOW find out of her reputation but at the time we were desperately in need of help. [name removed] business practices are PREDATORY and she gets away with it because her victims (clients) are in dire situations, stressed out, and grieving. She is a disgusting "human being" and I hope there truly is a special place for her when her time comes. She violated her own contract, and kept $[removed] of my father's fixed income as my mother lay helpless and dying. DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO THIS PERSON. If we do nothing she will continue to prey on others. Certified letter I sent her, she refused to pick up and it was returned unopened.

People were nice BUT, they were not reliable. They would show up late and sometimes not show up at all. Called to complain but nothing changed. Gave up on them and found another provider. Would not recommend. Especially if you need someone to depend on

Don't let them watch your loved ones. You'll regret it if you do. The owners are corrupt and only care about profits. I've personally seen how they do business and its not fit for anyone that you sincerely care about.

All they care about is getting your money by providing bad care if any at all. Never in time and nobody answers my calls from the office. Ladies there are mean. Place has gone down hill in the last few months. The man that managed the place before made us feel cared about. He often called just to check on us. This new bunch are not like him...

I spoke to [name removed] at Saint Anthony's Care Services. I needed someone to sit with my husband for 4 hours Saturday evening. I called Wednesday and was told they had someone. My phone won't sync with my printer so [name removed] said she could come to my home Friday at 11 am to do the paperwork. At 11:15 I started calling her. I left a message and she finally called me at 12:30 and said the sitter won't work for less than 8 to 12 hours. She knew this Thursday and nobody let me know. This is why there were no reviews before mine. They are a horrible company to deal with. I suffer from severe anxiety and I was going crazy. Luckily I found another company that had someone available last minute. It only cost me $20 more and they don't make you pay upfront like Saint Anthony's does. My husband is bed bound, I am his only caretaker and our niece is getting married Saturday. I wanted to do something special and surprise her when I show up at the wedding. Saint Anthony's made this a terrible experience.

My 93 yr. old father was scheduled to get 20 hrs. of care a week, 2 hrs. In the morning and 2 hrs. at night. The coordinator called me the day before care was to start and verified that they would be there at 8 am the next day. No one showed up, nor did they show in the evening OR the next morning (today). Of course, he fell again last night on his already broken arm. Very disheartening that your can’t trust or rely on people to do their jobs. I would NEVER recommend Senior Home Companions!

My mother died under the watch of a (former) Home Instead aide after being in her home for less than two days; I have her timesheet. THEN, she was caught on her apartment building’s videotape in my mother’s building from the time she was removed by EMTS until early the next morning. Do not trust their aides!

I met with [name removed], [name removed] along with the caregiver at a meet and greet, they said all the write things. However, they could not full fill what was discussed, as we went through at least 3-4 girls in just a few months due to lack of staff. Many texts back & forth; which included the owner(who was silent through the entire nightmare)left me feeling like I was hanging; not knowing if someone was going to show up or not, most of the time it was last minute that no one was coming. They finally told us to go to another agency, bc they did not have the staff. They should have not taken my mom's case without the proper staff from the beginning. [name removed] as a supervisor lacks Supervisory & Communication skills. For the owner, they should have reached out to us at some point. The only thing that was perfect was receiving the weekly Invoice.

Management and staff is very unprofessional, rude and just plain does not care. They are only out for one thing and that is your loved ones money. If I knew what I knew now I definitely would not have gone through them. Luckily we are able to cancel our contract with them and proceed with a much better agency, one who actually cares they hire people who have no idea what they are doing completely baffled by this you have to repeatedly tell some of them what to do some just want to sit and do absolutely nothing. Long story short save yourself some money or spend a little extra going somewhere else Would not and do not ever recommend this company to anyone

Terrible experience , sitters were not qualified, felt like they would hire anyone, would not even try to send the same sitter, director would say she would address sitters, it was a terrible experience

Unsupervised caregivers, if a client has a problem with a untrained and unsupervised caregiver, management covers up the unsupervised and unlicensed caregiver and shuffles them around. And then sends another unlicensed, untrained, unsupervised caregiver.

The leadership and caregivers were both inexperienced and unprofessional. I would suggest you explore other options. The caregivers did not show up most of the time. One of the caregivers came in on the phone, with dirty wrinkled clothes and could not tell me what she was here to do. She pulled up her tasks screen on her phone and said she did not know what why she was here. When I called to report the behavior, the leadership was just as bad. The leadership sets the tone. I would not recommend.

I'd highly recommend using another service. It was a complete nightmare having this company take care of my parents. Please do yourself a favor and use a different care service. Your loved ones will thank you.

I contacted them to help me as a company during my surgery. A person named [name removed] was supposed to arrange this for me. The day of surgery, she sent me a guy as a nurse and even he came to me too late. [Name removed] knew that I am a woman and need a female nurse! How can a person be careless and selfish to do that to you! At the end I went alone to the surgery because I couldn’t trust them anymore and I was not comfortable with a guy as my nurse! I contacted them one mount before surgery and damn [name removed] did this to me Never trust them, they are bullshit.

Do not use California senior Care for your loved ones, unless you are prepared to pay for 24-hour care for the duration of your recovery. My dad paid 100% of the cost for his care, which was $750 per day, over $5,000 per week. He was going to step down his care as he improved, go to 12-hour care, 8-hour care, and so on and so forth til he would not need care anymore, this was agreed upon when I signed the contract for my father's care. After 2 weeks, we asked to go from 24-hour care to 12-hour care (still incredibly expensive)but their representative told my parents and I, "you can't change to less than 24-hour care without a Dr. note." This was totally unacceptable and very poor business practice because they don't provide skilled nursing or medical care. Staff threatened to remove the caregivers if we didn't like the policy. Out of fear my father paid for 5 more full days. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau for poor business practices and elder abuse.

This company never has coverage. When they do, the aides make excuses not to come or to leave early. Some show up smelling like alcohol, others just don't show up. The office doesn't answer the phone most of the time. My mother has gone through several of this company's lazy, incompetent, aides. I would noy recommend this company to anyone in Augusta, GA. I am honestly surprised its still up and running.
