Caregivers showed up late and left early. Sometimes they didn't show up. They asked to leave to get lunch, or ate our food. Several things in the house got damaged: kitchen countertops, broken glasses, and toilets and sinks stopped up. In addition, the Billing is also wrong and takes a while to get fixed. Caregivers are underpaid and management overcharges clients. Unfortunately, I could go on.

I don't even know where to begin. Good sales pitch but very poor customer service. NEVER NEVER EVER USE THEM!!! The assistance was rough with my mother. Sent someone who couldn't help get her out of bed. Was very unhappy with the service they provided.

Well what I thought was going to be a good fit for my parents turned out to be a nightmare. I’m not sure even where to start, but apparently the employees are not screened very well, issues with one having pot smell on her when she arrived and was even seen with joint in her console when I went out to talk with her. Had problems with help calling off at last minute, taking personal time off during shift to run home, to store etc. the office help was willing to replace help when we were not satisfied but over all this company needs a full makeover. Seems like always a problem of some sort I had to deal with daily. I will say mom and dad were treated good but always on edge as to whether or not someone was going to show up and on time.

They had problems keeping employees. The caregivers showed up late several times or didn’t show up at all. I ended up letting them go. several times my mom let them leave early and they never explained to her that she would be billed for the whole timeframe.

My experience with a place for mom was very brief. My mother in-law wasn't happy that we were bringing strangers into her home and the carers only came in twice. They didn't do anything except sit with her and my mother in law felt obligated to feed them. It is no reflection on your people. It just wasn't a good fit for us.

I was looking for someone to help me around the house and I called Cornerstone‘s number and the gentleman explained their terms two hours a week minimum [removed price] an hour that sounded perfect for me so I signed up he gave me his card and wrote his private number on the back with the amount [removed price] I don’t have that anymore when I got the bill the amount per hour was [removed price] and there was a [removed price] charge for a credit card transaction and the credit card amount charged was higher yet . I have the papers that show this anyway I called the bank right away and They couldn’t do anything about the [removed price] quote but they could do something about the [removed price] that was listed so the bank took charge. The bank said pay the bill using [removed price] an hour plus the surcharge and send it in. The bank notified the company and gave them about six months to complain that I didn’t pay the full charge. There was no response from the company. I had no problems with the girls except keeping them busy.

Cornerstone sent us a caretaker that spent a lot of time on the phone. I asked her to be replaced which they did but they never got a hold of the first one so both caretakers showed up at the next scheduled time. The first one was very mad and this was very embarrassing for me. The second caretaker was good but couldn't continue working our schedule. The 3rd caretaker they sent to us spent alot of time on her tablet. She left a towel on the bathroom floor which was a tripping hazard and didn't give a napkin along with food. We no longer use Cornerstone.

That was the first place for caregivers I hired. They all say they have caregivers but that is a lot of bull and beware any place is pricey.

The caregivers were lazy! They stole items from me. They spent way too much time on the phone. Some of them were totally disrespectful. for some reason, they did not realize that they were working for me.! they were very hard to get on the phone. They would arrive late and still want to leave on time. I would not let these people take care of my dog.!

I do not recommend this company to anyone seeking in-home care or employment. [removed name], also known as The Way Home, has shown a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. Based on my experience, management has been unreliable and unethical. There have been ongoing issues involving overcharging clients and failure to issue refunds when they were owed. Additionally, employees were not paid for work performed. Checks were issued that did not clear, and repeated attempts to resolve payment issues were avoided. Management consistently found ways to delay or completely avoid accountability. The owner, [removed name], along with [removed name]—her mother, who should not be involved in business operations—and the manager, [removed name], appeared to protect one another rather than address legitimate concerns. Check public court records.

Two individuals provided care. The first was timely and efficient. The second arrived 3 hours late and used my tub as a bucket on 1st visit. I bought bucket and Scheduled 2nd visit at time she requested. On 2nd visit when she was 3 hrs late with no contact cancelled visit for which I was charged. She arrived 6 hrs after scheduled time and told visit cancelled. My time is valuable to me.

Although I had carefully explained to two different managers, my needs for certain scheduling. I was disappointed when it was time for them to come. The workers needed every detail explained. Even though I had been told they could do lighthouse work, when one chore was done they would go sit in the laundry room and play on their phone instead of asking what more could be done

It was a [removed] show took up our time we answered all the questions, they had wrong days and times listed. Then I was Informed after 2 more weeks that no one was even available in my moms area!

They do not have consistent staffing for surrounding areas outside the metro.

The young lady who visited my mother usually came in, sat down, and scrolled on her phone for 3 hours. Mom would try to engage her in conversation; she would reply with a yes or no, then go back to scrolling. If mom asked her to do something, she would do the bare minimum to get back to scrolling. Many times after her weekend shift, we would find multiple trash bags with stinky diapers that had not been taken to the dumpster, dirty dishes in the sink, and hairball messes on the carpet left by the cats. I talked to her many times about my expectations during her shift, and she would assert, against evidence, that she performed all the prescribed duties every shift. I talked to management about the young lady spending much of her time scrolling, but nothing was resolved. I would NOT recommend Cornerstone to anyone

Starting with this company, I was told there was a 3 hour minimum. 10 months in I was made aware that there is no minimum, So past 10 months I have paid people to play on their phones and watch westerns. last minute no-shows or resignations where shifts are not covered or a call to inform me to this fact has happened more then 1 time. unfortunately I am stuck for now but actively looking for better care-given for my Mother .

Other than one person who took care of my mother, none of them seemed to be qualified to care for anyone at any stage of their life. I recommend that cameras be used if you hire them because I did and I had one worker fired for trying to feed my mother ramen noodles when my mother couldn't eat, and laid her flat to do so. Also caught her smoking when I specifically requested no smokers. Office personnel are nice and easy to deal with but the care givers are below recommended levels. One worker we had was absolutely fabulous all the way til the end.

I hired Home Instead from Warren, OH to care for my Mom who suffers from dementia. The quality of caregiving was deeply disappointing. The caregivers were supposed to give my mom showers, ensure she was up in the morning, and administer her medication. None of these responsibilities were consistently fulfilled. They allowed her to sleep all day, rarely heated the prepared food I had left there for her, and often did not give her the medication I had ready for her. I installed cameras in the house. I witnessed caregivers napping, on their phones constantly, outside smoking, not even in the same room with my mom most of the time. Although I was told these caregivers were trained, their actions suggested otherwise. Communication from the agency was equally poor. They called me 45 minutes before a caregiver was to start their shift to tell me nobody was coming. After my mom was hospitalized, the coverage provided upon her return home was minimal. This was not a good experience.

Wasn't happy. I didn't need a baby sitter, I needed help with personal care.. Also Laundry and cooking my lunch. There's nothing else to say except my husband didn't won't me to report the lady but my husband passed away so I can speak my thoughts on the type of care that I received

My Uncle was paralyzed from the waist down. They came out to access what all we needed. We really needed someone to sponge bathe him, clean and change him when he urinated and deficated , give him meals and drinks that we provided, wash soiled sheets and towels when needed and bag up any waste / trash and leave it outside of front door. Everyday was a different person,. Wound care said that he was never clean, soiled bedding. Then they just stopped showing up. We canceled after the first week, but had to pay for 2 weeks. And they came out and knew what was needed daily. Very unsatisfied.
