This is the worse agency you call the agency they never answer the phone you leave a message they won’t return your phone call Staff will call out no one will call you to let you know that no one is coming to your house my grandmother didn’t get washed for 4 days because the aide didn’t have any gloves

This agency doesn't communicate with their employees (aides). The agency uses self-reporting from the aides, so from their view, they've all done a great job. Until you talk to the client (my mother in law) who had one aide controlling her to the point that she wasn't allowed to have a glass of wine with dinner. We finally fired them because my mother in law couldn't stand having these people in her house. The aides administered prescription meds even though it's against the law, ignored the family's instructions on how to care for the client. Any communications with the agency that I did was met with dismissive emails and didn't take our concerns seriously. They charge exorbitant rates for crappy care. Don't bother with these people--and whomever you do hire, make sure you have cameras in the house and check them. There will be plenty to be unhappy about, just like our experience.

Our mother experienced a life-changing event, and we sought a reliable home care agency to allow her to remain at home rather than enter rehabilitation. During our initial interview, [name removed] kindly assisted with Mom’s wound dressing, even before we hired the agency. His compassion made a lasting impression. Unfortunately, our experience with the care team was disappointing. Caregivers were frequently late, and nighttime supervision was a serious concern. Despite expectations that Mom would be checked every two hours, our cameras revealed caregivers sleeping on her couch. One caregiver even brought a cot; raising concerns about whether we were paying for care or simply providing a place to sleep. Communication among staff was lacking, and email responses from [name removed] were often delayed. We ended our contract during the fourth week due to the ongoing anxiety about Mom’s safety and care. We hope the agency improves accountability, communication, punctuality.

In the beginning of this my mom was told that we would have consistent caregivers and they would be tailored to who she needed. Over the few weeks that she had them she had almost a different caregiver every day. These caregivers progressively got worse and one caregiver left right at the start of her shift to go shopping and then proceeded to tell my mom everything about her time in jail. My mom felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. They were not helpful in their tasks they were supposed to do. We no longer would recommend using this agency at any time.

The aid walked out on us with absolutely no notice very unprofessional would not recommend this agency at all. The owner and coordinator were worthless they didn’t even communicate the care plan to the aid and did NOTHING to help in the situation too busy playing golf or doing anything except managing their staff. Absolutely worthless waste of money choose any other Agency or just chain your parent to a bed you would be better off.

People tell.us about how great it is to have people come in to help. What do they do? They can't do anything. I don't understand? They don't know how to work. Or maybe they aren't supposed to work.

We used this service and they did not do one thing the Caretaker Supervisor said they would do while watching my mom, and while I was out of town for a few days. She said they’d cook for my mom. They did not. Every food item, including a few frozen dinners, were still there. Never cooked. I have videos of my mom wandering in her room after midnight with no view of the caretaker. They did not complete daily log as instructed then told we have no way to confirm information that each caretaker logs into their Home Instead’s application, on caretakers phone. We don’t get the chance to confirm or deny anything. Then this same supervisor basically called me a liar saying she never told me her caretakers could differentiate between my mom’s medications, when that was the most important question during the consultation! They refuse to take accountability. Now my mom is traumatized and using another service is impossible at this time. Terrible!! And still made us pay!

Had nothing but problems with care takers showing up and being reliable, more often than not mom would have a care taker scheduled to come but they wouldn’t show up and no warnings so mom would be home alone to fend for herself, she had even fallen because nobody was there to help her walk to the bathroom. Definitely would not recommend this company.

This company charges by the hour and request a minimum number of hours a week, basically a full week of hours. They are not available for an occasional break for the caregiver. Or once a week or twice a week break. They are also not available for a one time event. This company will not provide life saving medication in the event of a low glouse in the form of a glouse pen or nasal spray. Also, if someone is found in need of an EpiPen (epinephrine auto-injector) used for emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) this company does not allow their employees to administer this life saving device. Without the administration of these devices I would not be able to use their service for my diabetic father or children would may have a severe allergic reaction and require an epinephrine auto-injector.

We chose Cornerstone on the basis of their flexible scheduling. Unfortunately, showing up for the scheduled time was a problem. The 1st person scheduled for an initial session did not show up. No notice, no call. Contacted the office; they had no explanation. The replacement came the next day. Everything seemed set. The day of my surgery, 2nd person did not show up. Again, called the office. They called back saying 2nd had a babysitting problem. They offered to send a 3rd person we’d never met, but I had to leave for my surgery and my disabled husband who the 2nd person was to take care of would be left alone, unable to answer the door if the 3rd person did show up. We declined their offer and said we would not be using their service because of their failure to deliver on their promised support. Very disappointing and frustrating, and THEN we received a bill for their “services” despite the fact that they said they would not be charging us for their for their failure to deliver.

Overall, we did not have a good experience with Home Instead. The first caregiver that they sent proved to be extremely lazy, spending the majority of her shift sitting on the couch playing on her phone. It was communicateur CLEARLY that my loved one is still very independent with ADL's, and when he was reminded to take his shower, the caregiver said "I'll set things up for you". My loved one replied " no, I can do it myself". The caregiver responded by saying "no, I'll help you" then reached out and grabbed my loved ones arm, nearly causing him to fall. E-mails to the franchise owner went unanswered. Overall poor communication with care coordinator and scheduler.

This worker regularly didn’t show or didn’t reliably do the duties she was hired to do. Stability, reliability and respectful consistency with good communication skills is truly a skill and ability that is required in this line of work. In which this worker did not show to me , causing my routine, safety, and stability in my own home to be disrupted.i would not recommend her, senior care then did not have the ability to replace her because they do not have many reliable, consistent employees. I would rate it a 0.5. They should change the name to never even adequate. It was only a four hour house cleaning job and most of the time the girls sat on her rear end watching TV playing with her phone or eating the lunch she brought. I thought she would run out of things to do here as it's only a one bedroom, barely an efficiency apartment with a kitchenette and small bathroom. All that happened was a refrigerator was cleaned and she helped me change the sheets. Glad you ask for feedback and I'm sorry it was all negative, but I never want to hear the name of this agency again. It was absolutely a nightmare and they wanted to charge me $[removed]? Well, that payment was stopped immediately and I now pay somebody $[removed] an hour who does anything I ask her to do here including laundry. In fact, I don't even need to ask her. She just sees something that needs to be done and takes care of It. It's incredible how hard some people work…NOT to work!

I would rate my experience with visiting Angels of Wichita Falls a one, meaning the worst of experiences. After I had completed all of the necessary paperwork in preparation for someone to be assigned to come out to my home and to care for my mother, I made the request to the managing supervisor, for me to be present when the individuals that they had chosen separately and individually one at a time, if I could be there to meet them and then choose which one I felt most comfortable with to be in my home taking care of my mother. To that request, I was told by this manager that no, we don't give you that option. It's like the hospital she said, do you get to choose what nurse comes in to take care of you know, you just go to the hospital and they send whomever they choose she said that's the way we operate. So I was not allowed to be present to meet the individual they were going to send, and I would have no say in who they would send. It was at that point that I canceled there services.

Too expensive for me to interview not an option for me

Almost no communication after a few days. We never knew what was going on between Home Instead and long term care insurance. Invoices were right on time, I guess this may be the only plus

My dad was promised Monday, Wednesday and Friday care and every Monday his caregiver doesn't show up

We used your services for 1 month. In that month twice the aids left early without telling anyone or making sure my father took his medication.

I had high hopes when placing my loved one in this care home. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. It seemed this care home primarily focused on hospice patients rather than individuals with rehabilitation potential or quality years still ahead of them. I do not feel my loved one received the level of care, attention, or compassion we expected, and I carry many regrets about placing them there. If your loved one still has years to live and thrive, I would strongly encourage you to carefully explore other options before making a decision. Families deserve a facility that truly invests in the well-being, dignity, and recovery of every resident.
