On the caregivers, some were great and some were awful. It was really hot or cold. The communications with their main office was poor at best, they were constantly changing out care givers. With my mom, inconsistencies with care givers is an issue.

I didn't have a good experience with this service. We had more than a few incidents of caregivers calling to cancel 30 minutes before their shift started, or showing up late. The caregivers they had that we did like ended up being let go, while the ones we had issues with stayed on. Eventually we decided to switch to another home care service.

We only used this service for 2 weekends before we decided we'd just be better off doing it on our own. We had multiple issues with tardiness, scheduling, and caregivers leaving early due to "illness". We also had issues with the care itself, such as a caregiver claiming they had checked on our loved one despite obvious signs that they had not. They also refused to do anything that was not explicitly stated in their job description.

This was the home health service recommended by the community. She was often late and didn't always respect his space, she came in without knocking, that kind of thing. They weren't really thorough and would come and ask if he had done the things he needed to do and would just leave.

Sorry, to date I am not satisfied with the help that has been sent to my parents home. We have had the service for the past month and nothing to be impressed about. Their initial visit they tell you about all the services they can provide, along with their pamphlet. They will prepare healthy meals and planning among other services. That has not been the case so far. They provide adequate service is about the best I can say.

We had them coming in when my mother was at Willow Park and they weren't a flip. They sent that woman a bill for over 400 dollars and I know because I was there that they didn't spend that much time with her to charge her that much. They were supposed to go with her and take her to meals and then come back and there's no way that was an hour worth of their time. They need to keep an eye on those people more

Way too expensive. $20 per hour (4 consecutive hour minimum) for nurse aide, $75 per hour (one hour minimum) for nurse. Nurse aide cannot do anything with meds.

Didn't care for upfront payment.Even though it would apply to 1st care visit I felt blindsided.

We were not really pleased with them. They do not have their act together yet. They're trying very hard, but they just don't have process in place yet. Part of that was probably due to the labor shortage. But they had no way to know when their people had gone to see a client, and they did not track that. We discontinued services a couple of months ago, and they still have not picked up their lock box. There were several incidences of a no-show. And not only did I not get a call, but they also were not aware of the absence. The fee structure was very confusing, and we ended up paying an outrageous amount of money for essentially no service.

I found Distinctive Home Care a bit deceptive in what care they could provide. When they came for the home assessment they assured me that they could accommodate my requests but ultimately could not. They determined this AFTER having me sign the contract and paying the deposit. Then I was told that they could no longer assist my mother after one week due to my "numerous special requests." Although they were informed of the 3 non-negotiable criteria at the home assessment.

Senior Advisers 7/13/2017 he most important service that I need was for Housekeeping Chores; these task were either not done or incomplete.  [Removed], yes I am canceling the service.  I am very disappointed, I don't understand, after walking through I was angry to be taken advantage of, three hours to do vacuum two rooms, Laundry, making a bed.  no dusting of anything,  bathroom not cleaned shower or basin floor was not moped.  kitchen only floor was moped, but not cleaned. I ask her to wipe the cabinets & appliances down in the kitchen, this was not done.  I furnished all cleaning supplies that were needed.  After just walking through the apt, I cannot afford to pay $23.00 per hour (3hours) for just to vacuum, make a bed & laundry . I have to now find someone do what I thought would be done. I needed someone that could be trusted to do what they were being paid for, and I don't want to have to micro manage them to the job. Plus she advised me that she was pregnant. I sent Senior Helpers a list of task that were important and was assured that these services were available to me. Our parents have had to use their services for about 3 years now. Initially, prompt, courteous good to our parents. Not long after the first impression everything changed. Very young caregivers with zero knowledge on transfer or even dealing with the elderly. Caregivers lost our mother's hearing aide and bottom denture plate. Caregivers sleeping during the day on shift, dropping our mother, [Removed] at our mother who, through no fault of her own at her advanced age, would mispronounce caregiver's name. Caregivers helping themselves to our parents food including eating an entire pie in the refrigerator, showering and using our parents bathrooms, inviting their non-caregiver friends into my parents apartment. Reprimands did not or there was no reprimand at all. We removed all valuables from their apartment because of caregivers allowing complete strangers in our parent's room; wedding rings came up missing and when we pressed those caregivers the ring magically appeared the following week. I was specifically told "well your parents have to roll with things", when this company would send over a complete new, untrained employee heighten our parents anxiety.

Would never use this company again. In 16 days had 12 different care givers. I constantly had to give instructions every morning.. a number of the care givers were not qualified to provide the care needed for my mother who had broken her and was not allowed to walk on it for five weeks. When no one showed up on a Friday. I arranged for Synergy Home Care to come. Synergy has been great!

I would not recommend this agency to anyone. The caregivers are very unprofessional and talk bad about the agency itself. I give these kids credit for getting a business started at such a young age but they need to do a more extensive check on their employees. The caregiver has offered her services to be private on several occasions which has really made me feel uncomfortable. She makes sure she comes to my home with a big bag and I've noticed a few things missing. Again, I would not recommend them.

Only had service for 2 weeks and have had 3 call ins, they were only able to find a substitute for 2 of those days. They we're here several hours after start time. This posed a problem dad didn't get his breakfast one day. On a positive note all the care workers have been very pleasant. If they can get a more reliable pool of personnel there rating will get better. I will keep them a little longer to see if situation improves.

We requested only c.n.a since the patient is full care. The senior helper we were sent was not a c.n.a. She was able to care for the patient well and we did receive an explanation. The other c.n.a.s that were sent (1) only one was capable/skilled of giving the service the patient required. Conclusion: Senior helpers has people that make good companions but only a few of the employees can give care to a patient that needs full care.

I cannot recommend Senior Helpers. My mom urgently need care, and they sent someone who literally fell asleep on the job! Since then, my impression of the company has not improved. Their accounting department has been surly and aggressive, and I am looking forward to ending my relationship with the company.

We have been waiting for 3 months for a refund from this company. They took a full week of billing services and never found a suitable caregiver for my Mom. Would not recommend. Lots of broken promises and false starts. For example, they promised they would have. Caregiver for Monday AM. On Monday they called to say the caregiver had changed her mind. No back up!

Helper assigned initially seemed like a good fit. Resulted in her not being able to separate what was asked of the family vs our mother. Tasks not completed quickly due to sitting and talking vs completing tasks. Also, inconsistent on communication from agency to back to support when someone was out.
