This service is not top of the line but it is average.

The friendliness of the care givers and the management team was good, but the issue we had was the consistency with attendance and the overall communication. Also stated in their contract, they say their home helpers are able to drive but that was not the case for some if not all of the care takers we encountered.

I would not recommend the care services to others, as it didn't work out for us.

I would encourage you to look around for other care. They are not able to get the schedule correct. Due to them not even able to communicate the correct schedule to the caregiver and, this has been an ongoing thing for us, we will be looking elsewhere for care.

One of the complaints we have right now is just the struggle with keeping the same care takers, it is harder for our loved one to get into a routine but we understand the difficult time we are in right now with staffing in general.

I would recommend you check them out and be specific of the needs you need met. We needed some assistance in getting my loved one to a class, and making sure my loved one had lunch to eat, prior to the caregiver leaving for the day. There were specific questions that my loved one needed to answer by loved one and this wasn't done. I feel the supervisor dropped the ball here on getting all our needs to the caregiver.

We did not have a good experience with Home Instead and would not recommend them.

We used this service for a few weeks. I had some issues with this agency. The service started to deteriorate in terms of showing up on time and the aide actually doing something and being proactive. Also the service wanted a deposit to be held until the relationship was over and I felt that this was unusual. The agreement that I was asked to signed made no mention of the deposit and I canceled the service shortly after.

I know right now it's really difficult to maintain staffing at home health care places. And that was definitely a challenge in our situation. We didn't get the consistent coverage that we needed, although I I felt like we would have experience that anywhere we went. When we had care, most of it was really great. To ensure consistency of care, they were supposed to come in and create a care binder for my loved one, and that never happened. So when we had new people, the information about what needed to happen didn't really transfer from person to person. I tried to facilitate that as much as I could, but in the end I felt that the caregivers were more like babysitters, rather than truly providing care. Most of the people were friendly, and when we had a couple of people who didn't work out well with my loved one, they remedied that very quickly. But we had instances of no-shows and not having someone be able to come. I thought the admin side was really great and communicative. The main problem was just inconsistency with the caregivers. I wish that in the beginning they would delve deeper with the families about what they might be facing during these times. I feel like what we received didn't match up to what they told me in the beginning. I asked if we would be able to have the same person / people, and they said no problem. But we ended up having 1-2 new people every week.

I feel that Care Advantage is doing the best they can. If for anyone reason a caregiver had to call out they would only give me an hour notice and it would make it hard for me to complete my tasks for the day.

We do not have much to compare since this is the first home care service we have used, but so far the scheduling has been fine. Most of the time they are able to send the same person which our loved one does appreciate, however that person sometimes is inconsistent with showing up on time or at all.

They are short staffed and this makes it hard to care for my loved one. Wherever you look, you won't get what you hoped you would. This isn't their fault. We don't have consistency with the caregivers.

Dealing with the management team was a hit or miss with our family, and there was one aid that was sent to our family that had absolutely no experience and would just st around. However, the other aids that were sent to our family were wonderful, they did an excellent job making sure our loved ones needs were met and was getting the correct attention.

Scheduling was one of the biggest issues that we had. You have to stay on top of it and in touch with them non stop to make sure that things stay on track. Also have a way to monitor the people to make sure that they are doing what they are being paid to do. They were really low on staff and someone quit 2 hours early on the shift and there was no one to replace them.

We have multiple caregivers and sometimes it can be hard to get used to a caregiver when they change so often. The agency is good but sometimes the changes make it hard. They do exercise and walking activities with my loved one and also provide transportation.

We have had some scheduling problems, sometimes they are late and sometimes they break down on their way. But overall it has been a pretty good experience. We do get a lot of different caregivers, so it can be difficult for them to know what to do, they aren't sure what they are coming into. I would recommend to others.

Some of the staff we met we were very pleased with, and some were very nice. There was one care taker especially that our loved one was very fond of. However, they did have some scheduling issues, they would have care takers stay for awhile and then they would leave and our loved one would have to get to know them all over again.

The care givers who come for my loved one are great, their personalities work great with our loved one. Everything started out good, but now we are having trouble with the financial side of things as well as scheduling. They originally said they have enough care givers for our specific schedule, but that is not the case. Other than the disorganization with scheduling and the financials, they are great.
