We use home care services through Desert Hearts Nursing and Home Care Fort Mohave for our loved one. Her caregiver is very good.

Caregivers are not of equal abilities. I would rate my daytime caregiver as a 2 and my night time caregiver as a 5.

The caregiver did not stay for the hours requested on the first and only visit, unfortunately. My mom wouldn't have it. For the 1 hour provided, she was still charged $[removed]. This should have been told to us upfront, whether they stayed or not. Sad for someone on a fixed income.

We only used them about a week and a half. The management team was very friendly. They missed a day on the schedule and did not show up. I believe there was a personality conflict between [name removed] and one of the aids. [name removed]was very difficult to work with when she first came home. We dismissed them after a week and a half. Due to an incident where [name removed]threatened to shoot the aid. There was no ammunition in the house, but still it was an ugly incident. [name removed] does not want people watching her and telling her what to do. I think the aid was a bit strict. Also, I feel they were a bit pricey, but then, you get what you pay for. I would recommend for someone who can afford them and someone not as strong willed as my cousin

I would not pick over other places because they quit with no notice based on their survey of workers who came here without hearing our side of the story.

There was not anything necessarily wrong. I would not call them again. I didn't feel the aides were assertive enough with my father and they did not anticipate his needs well. They also talked about their agency and pays Cale with him...which ruffled his feather that they were not paid more and were not treated well. Which I thought was unprofessional.

The caregivers were fairly good with [name removed] and his needs. They talked and related with him. Some were able to cook pleasant meals for him, others were not good cooks. He was not eating much, or digesting food well, so this one is hard to measure. The main concern I had with the agency is that on [name removed], he was without a caregiver from 4pm to midnight. My sister, her husband, and myself went to visit him at that time, and it was good that we did. I tried several times to reach agency but no response. Because I did have phone number of all of the caregivers, I called her for help. She contacted her boss, and I was told the boss would come help out. That never happened. I finally had to leave to get home. I never did here from [name removed] on what happened or even an apology for the lack of caregiver. She was hard to get in touch with, not responding to phone calls or texts, especially after that night.

No I wouldn't recommend. We stopped the service because we wanted a proactive care giver who would make her active but instead we got someone who just sat and listened to her complaints and fell asleep. If I thought of activities, they would go do them but otherwise they just sat in her room

I think my biggest concern was that they placed a very inexperienced caregiver with my loved one who had a specific type of dementia that is not an easy one to contend with. I would have appreciated Home Instead being honest with me in sharing her level of experience. I know that dealing with family members who did not live in the same region as our loved one also would have been challenging for Home Instead. We family members were coming at them with different needs or questions. I think we could have done a better job as a team supporting my loved one. We should have had one email that went out to all family members at the same time so there was a more streamline structure.

My loved one liked all of the caregivers, so that was good. I thought the prices were appropriate. Even holiday rates were reasonable. I had a wonderful intro to Brightstar when I needed emergency home services for my loved one going into a holiday weekend. They were able to assess her that Friday and had caregivers starting that evening. Amazing! But then the services became spotty. We didn't need regular on-going care, but rather as needed. I guess it was hard for them to staff it that way. Sometimes I could get help and sometimes not. The worst was a date that I had requested weeks in advance. We didn't receive confirmation of coverage until a few days ahead and then, at the last minute, the caregiver canceled. I would recommend them for regularly scheduled services, but not for occasional.

owner is amazing, caregiver she sent had some issues with her. I had to stop using them because they were pretty limited in the number of caregivers that had evening and weekend availability. [name removed] the owner was very responsive and helpful and ultimately we decided I needed to find a company that could better serve my mom's needs. We would recommend them to other families.

The majority of staff were great WHEN they showed up. I had negative experience in that there were multiple issues with last minute schedule changes and no coverage. I understand scheduling issues, however these were not communicated to me in a timely manner, and in fact more than once not communicated at all. That is unacceptable when trying to ensure 24/7 care for an elderly family member.

Golden Years in home senior care was to expensive for me

Some of the caregivers are wonderful. Some of the caregivers had a lot to be desired. We found that not all of the caregivers offered to us fit our needs. Eventually, we found one that was wonderful. I would recommend Senior Helpers to others, but you need to be diligent in finding the right person to fit your needs. It takes time and some trial and error.

They did not always show up on time. There were a few days that month they did not show up at all. I think they handled the physical needs pretty well. However, they would sit on the couch and look at their phones. I don't think they took enough initiative to look for things that they needed help for, such as taking out the trash. They thought it was too expensive for the help they received.

We used home care services through Synergy HomeCare of Oak Park for my loved one. The main issue was the lack of consistency in caregivers and their experience level. They were reliable in sending providers but not with matching them to my mom's needs.

Communication is okay. There is not a lot of communication between us and the care provider. She takes us where we want to go and I really don't have anything bad to say about her. It is getting expensive, so I am not sure how long we will keep the service. I would recommend them if you can afford it.

Based off of our personal experience, Amada Senior Care was understaffed, and the caregivers were undependable. Friendly empathetic staff. I would not recommend their home care services to others.

I used home care services through All Ways Caring Home Care for myself. The overall service was great. However, the agency needs to spend more time educating their care providers prior to coming to a new home. Bot caregivers didn't even know my name or why I was hiring them when they arrived. I probably wouldn't recommend All Ways Home Care service to others.

We used the company when my husband had a lot of medical issues. I needed to have someone explain the process in more detail. I was stressed and did not comprehend the process. it was a recommended by a hospital. They were okay.
